I just remembered this one from back in my childhood in the fifties. Much of the humor was of the adult variety but I got some of it. The illustrations/cartoons were funny too. My favorite: "Mise en scene" = "There are mice in the river"!
- another one: "carte blanche" = Blanche has had too much to drink.
