Although the recipes are quite interesting, the details on how to prepare most of the complex ingredients are left out, so you have to guess or go through a lot of trial and error to replicate them. Another thing is that some ingredients, such as liqueurs and vermouths, are mentioned by name or brand, while others only by flavour or style. I couldn't find a reason or pattern for that, so it just feels confusing. Overall, a beautiful but unpractical book.
