Highly recommended.

This was an incredibly informative book for tweens who has questions about their body. I found it helpful to read this with my young curious one and I learned something from the Girl Guide as well. I wish this book was around when I was younger.

I was looking for an introduction book on puberty, anatomy, and sex for my pre-teen daughter. This book does a good job on puberty and female anatomy, but doesn't cover male anatomy and the sex chapter is not what I was looking for. It seemed to come at it from an angle that the girl already knows a lot about sex and only superficially discusses contraceptives and STDs. It had some good information overall, but is not as comprehensive as I was hoping for coming from the American Medical Association. Also it was written in 2006 and could probably use some updates especially in the nutrition section.

This is a very good book and it tought me alot. Just the illustrations are all these pretty girls wearing tank tops and are wearing dangly earings. I just don't get it when they say "You don't have to look beautiful".
