And the saga continues!!! Book 3 in the Dunton Legacy Series. This book is Justice’s. On-par with the other books in this series in terms of slow burn/no spice/closed door romance... But this cliffhanger is a bit more intense than the last book, and I’m here for it!
Justice (Jay) is the social media manager for a senator. She has a meet-cute with Broderic, a freelance journalist, when his dog jumps on her at the beach. There is instant attraction there, but his job comes first (especially because he’s not looking for a relationship), and he stands her up when chasing a story. Fast-forward to when she comes back home after her grandmother’s funeral (where the sisters’ magical family secrets were uncovered, including that Jay is the Guardian of Air), and Jay discovers that everything at work is different. Broderic comes sniffing around for a story, and his path again crosses Jay’s. But he stood her up before, and Jay doesn’t know if she can trust him… doesn’t know if he’s interested in her, or just the story she can give him.
Lies, betrayal, magical secrets, hidden evil, and a connection to the previous two books that is out of this world! I love that these stories are on the same timeline, with different sisters, and in different places. I loved reading things like texts from her sisters about what’s going on in their lives. Things we already know about from reading the other books, and things we have yet to find out. It might be a perfect tandem read once the final book is out… but then again, maybe they’re better separately to enjoy them just as they’re meant to be enjoyed. I might have to try that when I reread these books… because I’m definitely going to reread them!

This is the third book , in the "Dunton Legacy" series. This book was Great. Her books, getting better and better. I just couldn't put it down. 💓 Jay ( Justine) and Broderic.
This book has romance, magic, she's the Magic Guardian of Air, love life difficult, chasing the story of his life, strong, women, loveable puppy, evil, has to apply on the Amesthst, to build her powers, second chances , entertaining, soul mates, unpredictable, slow burn, Paranormal, wonderful characters, witty, and so much more. This Book and Series is A Must Read. I Highly Recommend, this book. Can't Wait, for Firestone, the next and last book (I think)in the series.

ALANE DOES IT AGAIN. This time she is taking us on a whirlwind of a ride (literally) with The Guardian of Air. Jay is a strong, independent witch that don’t need no man! Or so she thought…soon she finds herself facing more than one challenge, except the one she is facing now is a blast from the past.
Broderick has entered the chat y’all! (Along with his huge and loveable pup!)
Broderick and Jay definitely have a past and not an easy one. He’s not wanting love and she doesn’t trust him anyway, so great match, right?
Jay is feeling like her life is quickly become the next daytime soap opera at this point. 😂
Along with challenges of the heart, evil is enveloping more and more around the Dunton sisters. Jay has to rely on the amethyst to build her power, the book to guide gifts, and her heart and spirit to guide the rest.
Alane definitely never disappoints with each book of this series, Vortex is climbing the ladder as my favorite so far! I HIGHLY recommend reading the first two books in the series because this one WILL contain spoilers.

Book 3 in the Dunton Legacy Series does not disappoint. It (generally) keeps with the same themes from the previous books: slow burn, suspense and magic. This book does end with a cliff hanger. I would recommend reading this series in order. It will help you to understand some parts of the book. I can't wait to read the conclusion of this series!
