Wrenley When my grandmother asked me to run her bed-and-breakfast while she took a three-month vacation, I should’ve said no. Now I’m stuck in this godforsaken town hours away from the pampered life I live in New York City. Gone are my days filled with luxury and glamour. I’ve been reduced to being domesticated. What can possibly go wrong? Decker Black, that’s what. He walks into my life—more like breaks in, but whatever—and immediately irritates the hell out of me. I can’t stand him. He’s moody, grumpy, and surly all rolled into one annoyed glare. Until one severe storm changes everything. I never could’ve imagined a slower, simpler life was everything I was missing. Unfortunately, my home is in New York and my heart is stuck in Alabama.
Decker My life is quiet and calm. Just how I like it. Until Wrenley comes barreling in out of nowhere and disrupts everything. Gone are my days of balance and routine. She brings turbulence and chaos. She’s quick-tempered with a bold mouth full of sharp jabs and is entirely ungrateful. She’s a headache, and I’m ready for her to go back to where she came from. So why can’t I stay away from her? The more time we spend alone, the more I realize underneath all the anger is something beautiful. And I like it. I like her. I never thought love and happiness was missing in my life. Unfortunately, my small town no longer has everything I need. It doesn’t have her.

Wrenley and Decker have a rocky start. He thinks she is too uptight and she thinks he's a giant A-hole. Despite going toe to toe in every occasion they can and after an explosive fight they call a truce. And when they start listening instead of talking over each other, they learn that they both are so much more than they originally thought. Getting involved should be a huge mistake since she's leaving soon but staying away proves to be impossible.
I'm in love with these two. They are my favorite couple so far in the series. Both their lives were filled with one obstacle after another but they didn't let them bring them down and HEA couldn't come to more deserving couple as far as I'm concerned.

The fifth in the Magnolia Grove series, and I am just eating this series up!! Wrenley goes to Alabama to help her grandmother out while she is traveling with her girls to France (I wanna be Ina when I get old). For Wrenley this switch from the fast pace of NYC to Magnolia Grove's snail pace, has her a bit uneasy, not really sure how to act she is obviously defensive about almost everything. When Decker comes in and is doing something nice like bringing flowers, Wren's hackles rise, and they are immediately thrown into the enemies category. It takes some time, but Wren finally realizes that Decker isn't a bad guy, things slowly take a turn. But it's crazy to fall for a small town guy, they are from two different worlds, there is no way it could work, or could it?
I really enjoyed this story, I won't lie, it took me a minute to like Wrenley with her prickly self. There is some drama, loads of laughs, quick witted banter, and chemistry that just ate up the page. I give Wrenley and Decker 4.5 stars.
The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
The below books are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart Sweet Southern Memories (Magnolia Grove #2) by C.A. Harms Rugged Southern Charmer (Magnolia Grove #4) by Fabiola Francisco
This is Wrenley and Decker’s story. Wrenley is in town to run the bed and breakfast for her grandmother while she takes a vacation. But when she arrives, she is not prepared for the list of tasks her grandmother needs her to do. When she meets Decker, they clash right away. She is prickly with him right from the start. But with his help things are working out. But she was not expecting the feeling he is pulling out of her. After all this was supposed to be three months no more. She has her own life that she loves. But does she love it more then she loves her time in Magnolia Grove?
Slow Southern Kisses by T.C. Matson is the fifth book in the Magnolia Grove series – 12 books by 12 different authors. This book features an enemies to lovers small town romance story for Wrenley and Decker. Wrenley, who is a New Yorker at heart, is in Alabama to help run her grandmother’s bed and breakfast while she goes on a trip abroad. Decker is a lover of the quiet life that his small town offers. Wrenley and Decker definitely started off on the wrong foot, but with deep conversations and learning to trust, everything changes for them. They both knew that Wrenley would eventually have to go back to New York City, but the question is, would they fight for one another and their relationship?
I LOVED this book. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve loved every book in this series so far, but this book in particular had so much more depth to the characters. There was just something about the heartbreak and dark secrets that kept me wanting more. I loved watching the dynamic between Wrenley and Decker evolve. The additional characters of Grandma Ina, Cameron, Molly, and Kristine played such an integral role to this storyline. Personally, I’m holding out hope that Cameron and Molly get to meet!
Thank you T.C. Matson and Enticing Journey, for allowing me to review this ARC!
Wrenley was dreading having to go to Alabama, she didn't like it one bit but since she drew the short straw against her brother, she's got no choice but to go to Magnolia Grove for 3 months. 3 months of taking care of her granny's bed and breakfast, but Wren is going to get a huge awaking when she learns that she not just watching over the place, but she has to cook, clean, wash and change the bedding, cleaning toilets, let's just say living in New York has spoiled her a little bit. With 3 months in a small town can Wrenley slow down her fast-paced life and enjoy her surroundings or will she be on the next flight back to New York before her Granny's plane hits the runway. Or will Decker the not so southern charmer in Wren's eyes swoop her off her high horse and get her to really love Magnolia Grove. When fast pace of New York meets the slow pace of Magnolia Grove bantering will the cool whip on top of the pancakes.
Wrenley and Decker’s story is my favorite to date. Slow Southern Kisses is book five in the Magnolia Grove series. Be prepared for laughs, drama, secrets, and some heartbreak.
Wrenley is in Magnolia Falls to run her grandmother's B&B while she is in Paris for a few weeks. As a New York she is unprepared for the pace of Magnolia Grove or the list of daily tasks she needs to do.
Decker takes Wrenley by surprise, and she immediately places him in the foe category. Can they move to friends? Will the city girl fall for the country guy?
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Slow Southern Kisses by TC Matson is book 5 in the Magnolia Grove Series. This is the story of Wrenley and Decker. Decker loves the small town of Magnolia. Wrenley who is New Yorker has come to help her grandmother with her Bed and Breakfast in Magnolia. This was a fun book of opposite attract.
Decker and Wrenley are total opposites when they meet in a small town. I love them together though, they are lol when they interact. Opposites attract in this story at about 150!!!!
"Slow Southern Kisses," the fifth enchanting addition to the beloved Magnolia Falls series crafted by a variety of talented authors, delivers a breathtaking romance that will leave readers utterly spellbound. T.C. Matson's contribution to this cherished series is nothing short of extraordinary, as she breathes life into the quaint small town of Magnolia Falls with her signature storytelling prowess.
Wren, a vivacious New Yorker reluctantly drawn into the tranquility of small-town life as she lends a helping hand to her grandmother by managing the family bed and breakfast. Unaccustomed to the slow pace and close-knit community of Magnolia Falls, Wren finds herself yearning for the hustle and bustle of city living.
Enter Decker, a rugged Magnolia native whose gruff demeanor belies a heart of gold. When Wren and Decker first cross paths, sparks fly, though not in the way either of them anticipates. With their contrasting backgrounds and personalities, it seems unlikely that they could ever find common ground, let alone love. Yet, fate has other plans.
"Slow Southern Kisses" is a testament to the enduring power of love to conquer all obstacles, no matter how daunting. With its irresistible fusion of small-town allure, electric chemistry, and unforgettable characters, this book is a must-read for romance readers everywhere.
Ms Matson's contribution to the Magnolia Falls series is sure to leave readers swooning and eagerly anticipating the next captivating instalment in this enchanting saga. Gran will undoubtedly be delighted to return to find her bed and breakfast—and her granddaughter's heart—in the capable hands of Decker.
I’m loving my visits to Magnolia Grove , Alabama and I’m loving this multi author series. This time we get to know New Yorker Wrenley and Decker the man who loves his small town life in Magnolia Falls. On paper these two are complete opposites……. Wrenley is in town running her grandmothers bed and breakfast so she can take a three month vacation and from the moment she arrives she knows she should have refused. She loves her life in New York and is used to her days being full of luxury and glamour now she is changing beds and making breakfasts…… Decker loves the quiet life and when Wrenley comes barreling into his life she disrupts him and upsets his balance and routine. But life is about to get a whole lot more interesting for this pair as a storm rolls in and spending time together has Wrenley wishing her home was where her heart is and Decker realising small town life is nothing without the one you love. So will Wrenley move back to Alabama or will Decker up sticks and move to the city……one click to find out. This is a wonderful addition to the series, I fell hard and fast for these two and I found myself cheering them on but more importantly I was left smiling. If you love small town romance look no further than this book and the Magnolia Grove Series.
𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 by T.C. Matson is the 5th book in the multi-author Magnolia Grove small town romance series, featuring an entertaining enemies to lovers, small town romance for Wrenley and Decker. Wrenley rolled into Magnolia Grove to take over her grandmother’s bed and breakfast and got more than she bargained for with Decker Black. They may have started off on the wrong foot, but a nasty storm and some pivotal conversations change things in a big way, not to mention the attraction between them. But what happens when Wrenley needs to return to her big city life?
Magnolia Grove is the gift that keeps on giving! In this story, Wrenley is ruled by her stubbornness at first, making way for a battle of wills and some animosity that felt more like feisty banter and foreplay at times.😉 I loved watching their dynamic evolve, especially as the underlying emotions came out.😍 Again, the town provides plenty of quirky and fun characters to add to the story, Decker’s funny friend Cameron. Then there’s the bestie trio of Wrenley, Kristine, and Molly, who will have you laughing, not to mention Grandma Ina! I’d love to see Molly meet Cameron!🤣 This was definitely a successful addition to the series.
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶🌶
Slow Southern Kisses started out a tad slow for whatever reason, but once it hit its stride, yeah, I couldn't get enough. Wrenley has come to Magnolia Grove to take care of her grandmother's B & B while she's off on a girls trip, and man, it doesn't start out easily that's for sure. Wren has been living a good life in New York City so the slow down of life is a tad hard for her. She's knocked off kilter when she meets Decker, and is not too nice to him for a cool minute LOL! He's not exactly swooning over her uptight attitude either so it's a rocky start. It takes a few very bad storms to finally get them starting over, and maybe they'll figure out that they're perfect for each other. The sparks are flying, but her stay has an expiration date so he's doing his best to keep some walls up. These two people have quite the tragic past but it's made them into the amazing people they are so maybe just maybe they can have a happily ever after but I'll never tell. This story has a lot of pain, heat & sweet, humor from the amazing supporting cast so yeah, I'm very glad I stayed with it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
As we head back into Magnolia Grove again, Slow Southern Kisses will capture your heart as the chemistry and passion between Decker and Wrenley light up the dark. The tension between these two is intense as their first interactions get off on the wrong foot. However, is this the perfect example of love and hate walking a fine line between each other. As these two see past the grumpiness and harsh words and finally acknowledge what is behind that facade, walls will begin to crumble and their hearts will be put on the line. As Decker and Wrenley start to disclose little bits at a time about each other, it will show these two that they just might have a little more in common than they first thought. As trust starts to build and their souls start to connect it might just be too late for these two as Wrenley returns home. Their journey was a slow build for me but when it finally hit, the intensity between these two takes your breath away. A beautiful love story that holds you captive and steals your heart.
Man, talk about rubbing each other the wrong way! Wrenley doesn't want to be in small town Alabama and she's having a bad day when she "meets" Decker who offers her nothing but a smart ass comment she could really do without.
The stage is set for your classic enemies to friends to lovers romance right in the small town of Magnolia Grove.
Sometimes enemies to lovers stories rub me the wrong way because they are such enemies that it becomes annoying but Slow Southern Kisses did a good job of smoothing out Decker's rough edges because he came across as a little over-bearing at first. He has his reasons, sure, and if not for his mother and grandpa, I might've wanted to smack him myself.
But Wren and Decker grew on me quickly. He means well and she doesn't have any quit in her and together they form a beautiful friendship that turns into more. There's just one problem...Wrenley is just visiting Magnola Grove and it's Decker's home so what will they choose?
I really enjoyed this story, so much. It was fun and steamy and so dang entertaining.
Wrenley comes to Alabama to run her grandmother’s bed and breakfast while she takes a vacation. She meets Decker and they do not get off on the right foot. Wrenley is fiercely independent and she resents Decker’s efforts to help her get acclimated with running the B&B. She eventually realizes that Decker doesn’t mean her any ill will and that she was being difficult. She apologizes to Decker and their friendship begins. They eventually get romantically involved and realize how perfect they are together. The conundrum is that Wren’s stay in small town Alabama is coming to an end. Is their new love enough to make her stay?
This was a beautiful story with some sensitive subjects. Wren has not had an easy life. She still has scars. She shares her past with Decker after he earns her trust. She then had to trust her love for him and his love for her. I loved it!!
This book was a cute, funny although very emotional read at times. Decker and Wrenly are definitely made for each other. And the more you read the more obvious it becomes. And when you find out what Decker has gone through although I wanna say I think you might of gotten a clue of it somewhere before in one of the books before. Or I could be wrong either way when something like that happens you close yourself off to trusting to many people. But then every thing Wren has had to endure. It's a wonder she's a happy person at all. But some of the things they get up too. Some of these secondary characters are a riot!! And I must get books from them. Wren's grandmother especially, she was a hoot and I loved her!!! One thing that was missing that I wish wasn't was an epiloge. And it could be me being picky but I wanted just a little bit more from this books closure. But overall I would recommend it if your looking for a very cute rom-com!!

I love every single book in this series. I have to say this might just be my favorite so far. Magnolia Grove is a small town where everyone knows each other and takes care of each other. Wren ends up coming to take care of her grandmother's Bed and Breakfast while she is gone on vacation. Wren is stubborn and hard headed but really has no clue how to run the Bed and Breakfast and take care of things. But she is so willing to try. But Decker who absolutely loves Wren's grandmother and Magnolia Grove will do whatever it takes to make sure that Wren doesnt destroy her grandmother's proud and joy. These two have a very rocky start but a nasty storm and the fear that Wren has for the dark changes all of that. I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. You can easily feel what is building between them. A great storyline with some amazing characters that you cant help but love.
Take me away to the pink palace. Honestly the Mags sounds like my type of place, just relaxed and down to earth, a place you could have an amazing breakfast and relax back and unwind in peace. Wrenley is such a strong woman, even when she feels at her weakest there is an inner strength to her, she is strong for her grandma and protects her at all costs. But sometimes you need the extra strength of another person, and that person is Decker, he has the worries of the world on his shoulders, and he will happily step up for the Mag, and all she holds within. The story will captivate you and have you wishing you were in Magnolia Grove, having a bear with Cameron and taking bets on how long this pair would cope without each other. Taking cooking lessons on cooking everything on high, and just enjoying life.
This is the fifth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Decker and Wrenley’s story. Wren is a city girl, used to living a fast paced, New York life, and when she agrees to run her grandma’s B & B while she takes a 3-month vacation, it is a huge adjustment to a slow paced life in a small town, while she is not just overseeing it, she has to cook, clean, and change bedding. Decker is gruff, with a huge heart, and he enjoy the quiet life, until Wren comes barrelling into his life disrupting his peace and quiet, and the sparks fly between them. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, challenges, bickering, emotions, opposites attract, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and fun, small town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Even though it is very different from her regular life Wrenley wants her grandmother to enjoy her vacation, so she agrees to manage her Bed & Breakfast. She soon realizes that what she expected is very different from what is required which has her feeling out of her depth especially when she feels Decker is judging everything she does.
Decker enjoys the lifestyle that Magnolia Grove provides and couldn’t imagine anything different. He has always been there for Wrenley’s grandmother and will be there for Wrenly as well. They may not always agree but the more time they spend together the closer they become and now he can’t imagine a future without her.
The banter between them is entertaining and the romance is heartwarming and not only do the characters of Wrenley and Decker drawn you in but the rest of the townspeople as well.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and I will be looking into more.
Wrenley is in town to help run her aunts bed and breakfast and is not prepared for everything that comes with it. When she agreed to help she didn't know of everything that she would be in charge of and she was also not expecting Decker.
Decker has lived in Magnolia Grove his whole life. He is taken by surprise when he meets Wrenley working at the B&B, especially after their first meeting.
Can these two be friends or will everything go up in flames? What happens when the city girl starts to fall in love with the Alabama country?
The connection between these two is there from the start but they get off on the wrong foot. Will Wrenley know what she has or will it all go up in flames when she goes back to New York and the job that she loves.
Wrenley came back to town to run the bed and breakfast for her grandmother while she is on vacation. But clearly, she was not prepared for the list of tasks her grandmother put out for her.
From the minute she meets Decker they clashed. He thinks she is too uptight, and she thinks he is the biggest A-hole that she has ever met. But once cooler heads prevailed, it seemed like there was more to their aggravation with each other than they thought…
This was definitely a enemies to lovers type of romance. These two couldn’t stand each other in the beginning. But a thin line between love and hate. Getting involved with each other should have been a no no, seeing as Wrenley was only helping out in Town, so what were they going to do…
Another winner for me in this series. I definitely want to move to Magnolia Falls… 😊
Wrenly never thought she would end up helping her grandma in a home that looks like Peptobismo threw up in. Honestly when I read that I had to laugh cause it reminded me of Steel Magnolias. Wrenly knows that she is out of her comfort zone but will do everything she can to ensure she doesn't disappoint her grandma. When an unexpected person shows up with flowers they will buttheads immediately. Decker likes his life calm and slow. He loves helping his family and community. What he doesn't like is that a new person is helping with the inn and making his heart do crazy things. These two will banter day and night, but one thing is for certain their attraction is off the charts HOT!!! But what happens when it's time for Wrenly to go back home? This story is literally a slow burn of love and attraction and how sometimes you need to slow your life down and smell the flowers.
I really enjoyed this one - my fave so far of this series. This one was the steamiest too!
Wrenley is in Magnolia Grove to help out her grandma, so she can go on a much deserved vacation, and will run the B&B in her absence. Decker doesn't trust this citified woman and makes sure to check on her frequently which results in lots of tension.
...until sparks fly. Then whew! Things get hot!
I enjoyed these two as they learned to trust in each other and share their secrets that they hadn't shared much before. They both have scars from their past that they need to come to terms with.
But this thing between them is temporary or will their real feelings win out?!? A bit of angst until we get there, but overall an entertaining read.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
Wrenley "Wren" hasn't led the best life and has a mother from hell. When her grandmother Ina asked her to run her BnB for three months she will do anything for her grandmother but she even thinks maybe this is more than she can handle but she will never let Ina down. Ina's friends try to help her out even Decker, but she doesn't want this sexy man's help or so she thinks. This was a slow burn but it seemed to drag until I hit 50% but then I loved this story. I was rooting for Wren all the way, Decker and her both have demons to face in order to have the future they deserve. I love this series and I highly recommend it.
I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Beautifully written and easy to read.
Wrenley is running her grandmother’s bed-and-breakfast while she took a vacation. She meets Decker Black, he’s moody and grumpy. She immediately doesn’t like him. Decker thinks that Wrenley is too uptight. They have fights and disagreements. After one particular fight they call a truce. After that they learn that what they thought originally about one another was wrong. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were made for each other.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, small town romance then you’re going to love it.
This is the first book I've read by this author and was introduced to them because of the Magnolia Grove series. I loved their writing style!
I love this town and the people in it! I probably say this after reading each book in the series but I really want to visit this town.
I loved Wrenley and Decker's story! They have great chemistry and I love their banter. Their relationship development was done at a perfect pace. I loved how Wrenley first reacted to being in the small town away from the conveniences of New York City but that she eventually adapted and found her heart in this small town.
I can't wait to see what comes next in the series!
Wrenley and Decker pull you into their story right from the start. They get off on the wrong foot and from there this book is a slow burn but heats up like a southern summer day. The more they hang out the more feelings get involved but what will happen when she has to go home. Will they still be able to be together or will the distance keep them apart? Amazing read full of southern charm and city living. With the right mixture of emotions, laughs, a few tears and a whole lot of steam. The characters from Granny to all the othersakes this book tie to together and will have you wanting more. Can't wait to read what she has next.
This read pulled me into the fire between Wrenley and Decker and I could not put it down! They are strangers, enemies, two characters that are very lovable, and they are able to push every button the other one has. Wrenley is strong and determined. Decker is someone that takes care of those close to him. These two have a great build up and a back and forth that keep the pages turning! I enjoyed getting to know these characters, their journey, the heat, and everything in between. It's a great read to be added to any list.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
