Award winning, bestselling author Karen Anders is a three time National Readers’ Choice Award finalist, Romantic Times Reviewers Choice finalist and has won the prestigious HOLT Medallion. Two of her novels made the Waldenbooks Bestseller list in 2003. Published since 1997, she currently writes for the Harlequin Romantic Suspense line. Karen’s love of reading is what ultimately led her to writing romance.
Karen came to romance early when, at sixteen, her Valentino-loving grandmother gave her The Sheik to read. Ever since that day she devoured romance in all types of genres including: historical, western, fantasy, time travel, and science fiction. It wasn’t until she started reading contemporaries that she couldn’t find the type of books she wanted to read. That’s when she thought she would try her hand at writing one herself. Her fourth book Jennifer’s Outlaw written for Silhouette Intimate Moments sold in 1995 and was published in April 1997.
Karen then went on to sell to Harlequin Blaze in 2001 and her first Blaze was released in January 2002. She’s written 12 books altogether.
Karen is proud of her two daughters whom she raised as a divorced mom for 15 years. One is launched into the world and the other is attending college. Although she misses the beautiful mountains of her home state of Vermont, Karen moved to Northern Virginia is 1981 and then to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2006.
Karen loves to paint in both watercolors and Chinese Brush painting as just another creative outlet.

I had fun with this book. I fell in love with both Haley's and Dylan's characters. Dylan was a swoon-worthy hero that I simply adored. The Bare Facts is a quick, feel-good, uncomplicated, and steamy afternoon read.
2.5 stars I guess. Haley has a crush on Dylan since sometime in their senior year at University. At the graduation party she psyches her self up to get with him and they wake up naked in bed but she was too drunk to remember what happened. A year later she needs material for her fantasy column in a magazine and deicides to ask him to help her out. He's only too happy to since he had actually been crushing on her too and still hasn't forgotten her.
She wants it to be only sex since she's worried she'll fall for him otherwise. She thinks he's a player and knows he's from snobby money so she doesn't fit in his world. He wants more but knows it's probably not a good idea as his image conscious boss and rich snobby father won't approve and will likely make her miserable.
The focus on class and how she's "from the wrong side of the river" seems really heavy, thought I suppose there are people out there with this kind of issue. But more her focus on how he's a player is downright irritating. Everything any women is mentioned she assumes it's one of his lovers. At work his secretary tells him he's got a call from a woman on the other line at work it must be a lover. A female leaves a message about coming over on his answering machine it must be a lover. She sees him having lunch with a woman in a restaurant it must be a lover. The reception at a hotel knows his name it must be because he comes here all the time with his lovers. There are woman's clothes in his family's cabin it must be from previous lovers - why would they leave there clothes there? When ever she assumes this she runs and whenever he tries to offer an explanation she refuses to listen to it or doesn't believe it. It was hard to sympathize with her since she is always jumping to conclusions and she's always wrong. Of course his decision not to date a woman he likes so as not to subject her to his father and boss is pretty pansy-assed too.
