I am slightly prejudiced because I have known Tim and his family for over 15 years, maybe over 20. On the other hand, even if I didn't know him, I would still say this is a delightful book. Knowing him and having seen his performances just makes it all the better because I can envision him saying all this in person.

Thank you, J. P. How wonderful to be reunited with our good friend and storyteller Tim Lowry once again. How we have enjoyed watching Tim Lowery, perform a Christmas Carol in recent years. What a joy reading his association with the book, with the author, with the performing of this remarkable small story, this Carol this ode to life, is. Reading this book is like listening to Tim Lowery South Carolina draw as he tells us the story, his interpretations of it, his depth of knowledge and curiosity and interpolation of the meanings. The Dickens port into one small small short book is magical.
This is a book to read every Christmas.

I love A Christmas Carol and enjoyed this excuse to read it again - only this time with notes and aside from a storyteller who has performed A Christmas Carol more times than Dickens himself did. I gained new insight into the books and the meaning of some things in the book that I had never thought of before.
