Briar Boleyn is the New York Times, Sunday Times, and USA Today bestselling fantasy romance author of the Bloodwing Academy and the Blood of a Fae series. Briar once wrote scholarly papers on Dumbledore, Dragon Age, and King Arthur before finally realizing she could create her own worlds where all three might coexist–with significantly more kissing. After wandering through English literature departments at four universities across Canada, she took a detour to teach in the Arctic, where her students would sometimes run out of class to chase polar bears. When not raising fictional dragons from the dead, Briar enjoys reading all types of sci-fi and fantasy, cultivating an unhealthy Disney World obsession, and playing RPG video games. She has written fourteen historical romance novels as Fenna Edgewood.

“Who meets their death devoid of love shall surely face their end. But one who gives their soul away, eternity extends."💫

I really did enjoy this book, but was slightly let down due to my expectations... probably. This could have been solely just a me problem, but I'm conflicted about that... I feel like for a finale book that expectations should be high. Thus, mine were.

Writing:
One thing that bothered me is that scenes that should have taken far longer to play out, ended rather abruptly. For example, I expected an epic, climactic battle scene between Morgan and Gorlois, and while there was one, it wasn't really described in much detail from Morgan's POV or even Draven's. It honestly was short-lived and the ending came so quickly it was like a smack in the face.👊🏼 In fact, most of the battle scenes in the book ended pretty suddenly. Either someone or something swoops in to save the day or something happens to cease the action that is unfolding. The only battle that truly played out in an epic-fantasy style was the Battle at Tintagel, but I was still expecting more from that, too. I did, however, appreciate all of the action in this book. This fourth installment hands down has the most action scenes of the entire series.

Next, there are a few characters who we lost that I thought I would feel more emotionally connected to, but apparently didn't. I don't feel like grief and loss was truly communicated well through Boleyn's writing. And honestly, the characters themselves didn't truly seem to grieve either. While reading other books, you can catch me crying like a little bitch when side characters die, but I didn't even flinch during big deaths in Knight of the Goddess.🤷🏼‍♀️ Or I just have a cold, dead heart. The latter may be true.🖤

On the plus side, how the gods and goddesses are woven in with the characters in this book was so well done. If you read it, you'll understand what I am talking about. There's a twist towards the end I was not fully expecting. The world building in this series is also *chef's kiss*

Characters:
Our characters make quite the journey across Arcaenum in their pursuit to destroy the Grail, the Spear, and Excalibur, and along the way they make some pretty wild discoveries about themselves and their pasts. That being said, Morgan and Draven are the strongest they have ever been in both character and physical strength. Their relationship, too, is thriving and you can't help but root for them, although some things they said to each other were rather corny. They had some spicy scenes🔥between the two of them, too, if that's something you look for in your fantasy books.

💫"My flames danced in harmony with my mate’s shadows. The light to Draven’s darkness. Together we created a symphony of devastation."

I also loved how the book was written from both Morgan and Medra's POVs. This gave an interesting view into Medra and how she was growing up... and fast. All that anger inside, but also confusion and loneliness. She was easy to relate to, and I felt bad for her. We never really do find out why she grows up so fast, though, so that unanswered question nagged at me quite a bit.

Overall Thoughts:
I thought this book was good, but certainly not as enthralling as the previous two in the series. This final book was full of dark magic, found family, spicy romance, and lots of action.⚔️ I would definitely recommend the Blood of the Fae series to anyone interested in an enemies-to-lovers romantasy or someone seeking a dark, fae twist on the tales of King Arthur. The time I put into reading all four of these books was well worth it in my opinion. I had fun and the books were relatively quick-reads.

💫“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I’ll still be standing beside you. You and I? We’re eternal.”

What an ending! I absolutely loved the final book in this series. The tension, the ultimate quest, the evolution of the characters and their relationships, and the twists—both unexpected and shocking—leave you stunned.

In this book, Morgan, her mate, and their companions embark on a quest to find precious artifacts to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands and potentially causing the end of the world. Along the way, surprising revelations about their pasts come to light.

It's always a bit sad to finish a series you enjoyed. I've watched the characters grow and evolve, and there's always a touch of melancholy when it all comes to an end. Nonetheless, I'm eagerly looking forward to reading more works by this author!

Thanks NetGalley, Starwater Press, and Briar Boleyn for a chance to read this book for free. I'm leaving this review of my own accord.

The only things I have to critic on is, when there was sad moments it didn't prolong long enough for it be impactful, the wasn't enough Draven's pov and the last like 70 pages happened so quickly like there wasn't a full lead up to the plot twist.

2.5 ⭐️

Starting book 4, I had hoped that the improvements seen in 2 & 3 implied that 4 would also show some growth.

It plateaued as fuck. So much filler in this series that it could have been a trilogy or a duology if the piss poor excuse of MPOV was taken out. Honestly Draven's POVs were so freaking short and such a disappointment that I would have rather not have them at all and this is coming from someone who wants dual POV all the time.

The spice got boring, spice is never ever supposed to be boring.

Spoilers filled rant below...

Key Characters: Morgan le Fay, Kairos Draven Venater, Medra, daughter of Morgan's fallen sister Orcades and former King Arthur, Guinevere (New High Priestess), Lancelot, and Gorlois le Fay, Morgan's father. Some moments in this books really made me sad. When they happened though, I felt like they were very brief. I almost would have liked to sit in it for a bit to experience what the characters were. I think this was to keep the pace of the book, but it made those moments less impactful. I did get a bit confused towards the end with all the moving parts, but i thought it was a fitting conclusion to this adventure. I love Briar Boleyn’s style of writing, and will definitely be getting future books from her. The detail in world building and scenes is wonderful. There is some spice… I'd say a 2 out of 5 for this book. Highly recommend this series!

Oh my! What a ride this final book was!

I have to say, the world building was amazing, there are so much more than I would’ve expected! There are so many plot twists that I didn’t see coming and so many truths are revealed.

This conclusion was kinda bittersweet because there are so many deaths and so much sacrifice involved! One particularly broke me down, I truly wasn’t ready for it.

But there are so many beautiful things found along the way! Eternal love, found family and true friendship. Morgan also found herself along the way and grew so much and the other characters too!

I’m sad to leave this universe but I’m happy to have read such a great saga.

Thank you NetGalley , Starwater Press and Briar Boleyn for this series!

It feels bittersweet writing a review for Knight of the Goddess, the fourth and final book in the Blood of a Fae series by Briar Boleyn. I have been an ARC reader since Book 1, Queen of Roses, and I am still honored to have been included in this voyage 🖤
To say I was hooked since the first sentence of the prologue of Book 1 is probably an understatement. I loved this series since the first book, loved following Morgan and Draven on their quests, and loved having the opportunity to see their story end. I am sad, but I am also happy because they did get the ending they deserved 🖤

I won't spoil previous books for you, but in case you're not familiar with the story, the Blood of a Fae series is an excellent Arthurian retelling. Having said that, it is not necessary to know and love the Arthurian tales, but if you do, I can tell you this retelling will be one of your favorite ones. It is a dark fae fantasy romance retelling of Morgan le Fey and Camelot with shadow wielders, magical flying creatures, a wild band of diverse found family, court intrigue, prophecies, and exciting new worlds... Can you ask for more?

Knight of the Goddess, being the fourth and final book, certainly didn't disappoint. It has kept me glued to pages, wanting to know what happens next. Like in all the previous books, my emotions were all over the place - I was sad, devastated, happy, excited, and scared for some of my loving characters, I was crying tears of sadness and happiness, you get the picture.

Knight of the Goddess brings the conclusion to Morgan and Draven's story and their quest to destroy the artifacts and destroy Gorlois le Fay, Morgan's father. It truly is an epic quest, full of adventure, angst, loss, and undying desire to make their world a better place. We are gifted with different POVs, like Morgan's, Draven's, and some other I won't spoil now :) Their found family is there every step of the way, and I loved how close their bond was, and how some relationships were mended in the end.

It wouldn't be the Blood of a Fae series without the eternal love Morgan and Draven share, without their loyal and beautiful Nightclaw and Sunstrike, without the sour yet loyal Ursidaur, without all their friends and family, both Fae and human.

And, don't let me get started on all those revelations, some I really never saw coming, all those identities unlocked and revealed. You will love it and be shocked by it!

🖤 What will you find in the Knight of the Goddess? You will find

🥀 A stabby, abused heroine finally coming into her full powers,
🥀 A shadow-wielding "touch her and die" mate,
🥀 Diverse found family with talking bears,
🥀 Magical bonded flying creatures,
🥀 A quest that will take them down the darkest road of them all...

Blood of a Fae series deserves all the stars, and all the hype it can get, and I strongly recommend you give this series a try 🖤

What in the Renesmee-Twilight shit was that

Also the author killed every character, but at this point I really didn’t care because I had mentally checked out at 25% in the book when this quote appeared: “I want to leave traces of your juices all over this fucking chair”

Like what?? Excuse me??? 🤢🤢🤢

This is the worst experience I've ever had reading a final series book. I hate neat little miracle plot endings, and I hate unanswered questions to major plot developments. I could go on and on with this book, but I have listed them below. Pardon the mess, but the unanswered questions are swirling in my brain fueled by the rage of the tidy miracle baby/miracle magic owl ending. Oh. And the rage of a giant bear riding a horse for the entire book. Raging about that as well.

-- When did Morgan reveal to all of her friends that her father was Gorlois rather than Uther? When did she tell them that Gorlois was behind everything bad happening around them? They all just magically knew in this book. No explanation. Wtf.

-- Also, 42% into the book, Draven comes out of the clear blue and casually reminds Morgan that Gorlois has been in Rheged for over 100 years.
Quoted: "Besides", Draven said, "think of the village. Your father has been positioned in Rheged for more than 100 years, Morgan."
Like... what are you talking about, Draven? Last I checked, you assassinated the ruling family and supplanted a new king there less than a year ago! Did I miss an entire book where this info was revealed?

-- We also find out that Morgan can siphon Gorlois' powers. She did it on the Tintagel battlefield, but when she comes face to face with Gorlois... she doesn't even try. Doesnt try to channel Draven either. Nope. Just conveniently gets an instant battery charge from her Aunt Tuva... a magical owl revealed to be a goddess aunt in disguise... whatever.

-- What happened to the undead Valtain children? Did their souls return when Gorlois was destroyed?

-- Was the Siabra curse of infertility lifted?

-- Where are all of the Valtain fae people? Who will rule them now? What about Morgan's other evil siblings?

-- Who is going to rule Rheged? What happened to its king in the first place? Did all of the Rheged soldiers-turned-zombie just drop dead when Gorlois was killed?

-- Why was Avalon so special? What made it special, and what are they going to do with the island now? This was never explained.

-- Where did Morgan's fae mother hide her when she was a child? Only described as some weird in-between-realm via the gates... but how did she do it if she was just a regular fae? She didn't have the grail... so how did she give all her powers to Morgan without dying? I was expecting some reveal of her mother being exceptional in some way... but we still don't know.

-- Who is Morgan's original mother? If the Three were her aunts, and Vela was Draven's mate... then who does that leave as Morgan's original mother??? How in the awkward incest was she originally conceived??

-- What happened with Sr. Ector? One second he was on deaths door with an infected broken hip, the next he is sitting pretty at a festival in Myntra. Wth?

-- Is Draven's face still half melted off? Does Morgan still have her powers to heal? Phantom of the opera?

-- If I could give zero stars for this book, I would. My final question: WHO THE EFF EDITED THIS BOOK???

as many of you know, i LOVED the first 3 books in this series, the story of morgan and draven is one that caught my attention from the very beginning of the series and i really have enjoyed following their journey.

while i did like this book, i did not find myself enjoying it as much as i did the others (don’t take this negatively pls) but idk if it was a mix of hopes and expectations that didn’t really feel settled to me or what it was, but i was not as immersed in this book as the previous three.

i felt as thought there were a lot of plot points that kind of were just wanting to “have an ending to them” that kind of felt underdeveloped. as well as character deaths that felt like they didn’t necessarily have to happen, but also it makes sense in war times that people do die unexpectedly. there was also a lot of confusion to me where i feel like the context could have developed more as well.

while i haven’t read iron flame but have seen spoilers, it felt as though some of the intimate scenes have inspiration from scenes from that book, as well as the name “silver one” which i noticed back i think in book 2 or 3? which there’s nothing wrong with that and a lot of people probably love it, but at the same time i don’t particularly enjoy seeing those similarities 😭

i really loved getting to see how everyone’s story ends! knowing morgan and draven end up together in the end was something i really hoped for from the start so i loved that<3
i also really found myself loving lancelet and guinevere so much, and i think a novella about them would be fun :,)

i also still have my questions about medra, which i think will be answered in the next series but we’ll see🤭i’ll definitely be reading it when it releases since i enjoyed this series a lot !!

definitely check out this series tho :)

I love this series and I’m sad it’s over. While I did enjoy this final book, I do think it was my least favorite in the series (but my least favorite being 4 stars is still pretty damn good). I think the one thing I wish had been different about this book is that I wish some of the bigger moments had been longer/more impactful (character deaths, battles, etc.).
This installment was super action-packed with very few dull moments, and there were plot twists I wasn’t expecting! I feel like I can’t say too much without spoiling it, but I highly recommend this series!!

I feel like my soul has been ripped apart and put back together again… the joy I felt while reading this book, combined with the anticipation and the love and the heartbreak was absolutely amazing. Briar Boleyn has managed to tie everything together so beautifully and shock me at multiple turns.

I loved these characters so much and am sad that their story is finished now… hoping for some added bonus chapters if Briar Boleyn is feeling generous 🥹🥹

This is definitely up there as one of my favourite series, it just kept getting better and better each book!! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fantasy, fates mates, King Arthurian lore and some steamy romance with a badass heroine and devoted protective hero

What an ending to this amazing series. So many revelations came to light. I’m still kinda speechless. I loved this series so freaking much!! A spicy, fae, magical, badass take on King Arthur and Camelot. The twist, Arthur is the villain, I know right!!! There is not a world in which you will be disappointed in this series.

↬ review: 4 stars ☾ ❦
this breathtaking conclusion has left me in a whirlwind of emotions, my heart brimming with a mix of joy and sorrow. i'm uncertain how i’ll ever recover from the rollercoaster of emotions i’ve just experienced; yet, in some inexplicable way, i find comfort in the fact that my beloved characters have had their stories beautifully, if at times painfully, concluded.

❀ characters:
the character development in this book is phenomenal, but i'm also traumatised for life because briar boleyn is killing characters left and right. i'm extremely mad, but at least my found family dynamics were back and better than ever - especially with the exmoors, whose bonding power is so strong and beautifully cute.

❀ love:
what can i say? we deserved all the romantic moments, and i was giggling and kicking my feet in the air because of the chemistry between morgan and draven. every moment between those two felt earned and deeply satisfying because draven gets women. he lets them shine and be the main character, and i love that for morgan.

❀ what i liked:
the plot twist at the end was phenomenal, though more details would have been appreciated. the found family trope was handled exceptionally well; watching the characters come together and support each other was heartwarming, and the exmoors continue to shine with their incredible personalities. seriously, can we get a spin-off series just about them? lastly, the writing was simply beautiful. every sentence felt like a brushstroke on a canvas, painting vivid pictures in my mind.

❀ what i disliked:
WHY DID SO MANY CHARACTERS HAVE TO DIE? i'm not saying i need a perfect fairy tale ending, but i'll be traumatised for life because nearly everyone bites the dust. oh, and draven needed more recognition. he felt like a side character when he should have been front and centre with morgan. lastly, the plot had some holes in the ending and plot twist, and i wanted more details.

❀ conclusion:
overall, this book was a beautiful and heart-wrenching conclusion to a series that has captured my heart in the long run. it was a satisfying end that left me reeling, fulfilled, and a little broken inside. i'll miss this world and its characters dearly.

thank you, netgalley and briar boleyn, for the arc in exchange for my honest review. it means a lot to me, and i appreciate it.

BOOK 4?! How did I get here? Once again, I urge anyone starting their fantasy journey to read this series. It's easy to read, and you fall in love with Morgan and Draven from the beginning. The best part? No breakup; they just fight through ups and downs, and the way this book ties everything together AND ITS END...

THIS BOOK. Let's talk about only this book. It made me emotional since page 1 because the end of the 3rd book leaves you shooketh. Morgan has become such an amazing badass character that reading about her made me root for her even more with each chapter in her POV. Meanwhile, we have Draven, who would die for Morgan, and let's just say that it shows.

The character development, the story, the ending—all of it ties perfectly into a series conclusion, and I am so happy to know that I was here since the first book.

Fav quote: “Every twisted part of me is yours. And every twisted part of you is mine. The good and the bad. All of it. Forever. You’re fucking mine, Draven Venator.

Tropes:
✨Fated Mates
✨Multi POV
✨Found Families
✨Journey
✨Ending of a War

Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for giving me this opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

I can’t believe the series is over😭

There were so many plot twists I didn’t see coming and completely blew my mind. While I did sob, I’m still really happy with how Morgan and Draven’s story ended.

I would absolutely love to come back to this world and see the characters again, even if it was just a brief cameo. Here’s to hoping that happens!🤞

If you’re a romantasy lover, you need to add this entire series to your tbr!

This was the perfect way to end this series <3

This final installment is an enthralling and captivating tale that seamlessly weaves together elements of fantasy, romance, and adventure. Truly there is nothing more I could ask from a series like this.

The characters are well-developed and the world-building is rich and immersive. The protagonist's journey is both inspiring and thrilling, and the intricate plot kept me eagerly turning the pages. Additionally, the author's writing style is engaging, and their ability to create an enchanting atmosphere is truly remarkable. There is something about this book that reminds me of ACOTAR, and it truly might just be the vibes.

This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted fantasy story with a touch of romance. Overall, I highly recommend Knight of the Goddess for its intricate storytelling and compelling characters.

A highly engaging and gripping page turner: the perfect conclusion!

Firstly, thank you so much to NetGalley, Starwater Press and Briar Boleyn for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Wow, I'm so sad that my latest fantasy obsession is already over! I was completely hooked from the first novel and absolutely devoured KoG in two days solid - I think I may have the biggest series hangover!

Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final instalment of the corrupt, exciting and morally grey Arthurian fantasy series, Queen of Roses. Morgan Le Fay, as she is now known, and her husband Draven must leave the short-lived calm in Camelot and embark on a treacherous, war-torn and thrilling journey, to destroy the growing evil that has been brewing for centuries, before destruction reigns and dark power triumphs. Accompanied by a close-knit group of their closest friends, they must destroy three objects of untold power - the sword, the spear and the grail - but also discover answers to history's terrible, forgotten secrets.

The continually developed world building in this book was absolutely gorgeous; it wasn't completely rammed down readers' throats, leaving them lost and confused, nor was it dragged out through endless paragraphs of dreary lore. I really felt like I was there alongside Morgan and her friends as they travelled, protected those who need it most and fought to survive to the bitter end; this book is a full sensory experience in itself of the most vivid nature. Speaking of lore, wow there was a lot going on here! However, I was really impressed just how seamlessly woven there sheer volume of it was throughout this novel and never became overwhelming, or a slog at any point. I was particularly in love with the slow revealings of the darker truth to the legends and history of the world, although at times I felt there was a slight lack of build up, which meant that it could become a little difficult to understand how Morgan and Draven worked things out.

Another thing I absolutely loved about Boleyn's writing is just how real the characters felt. Our main character, Morgan, was a brilliant protagonist and the prime example of a strong woman. I loved how, right from the start, she was determined to be the opposite of both Uther and Arthur by fighting for peace and justice for her people, particularly those who do not have the means or power to help themselves. I was captivated by her discovery of her developing powers and her determination to use them for the greater good. There were some fantastic, spicy scenes between her and Draven, who I am absolutely in love with - this man has to be the sexiest definition of golden retriever energy! He was willing to support Morgan, and her decisions, no matter what, and to fight by her side to the very end, yet wasn't afraid to be the voice of reason and take charge when necessary. I'm really going to miss these two and would love to read a novella describing what 'happy ever after' would look like for the people of Camelot and beyond.

The development of the supporting characters in this book was so fascinating, particularly of Medra; I did not see that one coming at all! I'm so happy that Lancelet and Guinevere finally got their happy ending too, Morgan could not have had two braver female companions by her side and I'm so glad that her and Lanclet are best friends again, although I would have loved to see Guinevere's personality developed a bit more. The reunion with Rychel was so bittersweet and although I am happy she was able to achieve her goal in reviving one of the undead children, I wish we'd seen more to this side arc following her kidnap. I think the saddest death of all in this novel has to be the very fitting self-sacrifice of Nightclaw; I absolutely bawled reading this part as it was just so well written and real.

The last few chapters of this novel were some of the most exciting page turners I've ever read and it's going to take me a while to get over all that action! The battle descriptions have been some of my favourites throughout this whole series, and Boleyn has completely outdone herself in KoG! I loved the integration of the discovery of a dark, corrupted history, with some epic fantasy warfare - let's just say the truth is much more complex than the legends.

Overall, thank you Briar Boleyn for this epic conclusion to the thrilling Blood of a Fae series, I cannot wait for your next one!

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I’ll still be standing beside you. You and I? We’re eternal.”

Knight of the Goddess is the fourth and final book of the Blood of a Fae series. I have enjoyed each book so much that I'm surprised with how long it actually took me to finish this one. Real life definitely got in the way, but I have zero regrets.

Morgan and Draven had me in a chokehold this entire series. From the very beginning, I wanted them to be together, but of course that didn't happen. Then, when they did finally get together, they still had issues because, you know, he saved her life, and now they are mated. Finally they are in love, truly in love, all about the mate life and off to kick some family ass to save the world.

Let's just say it. Morgan's family sucks ass. Her dad? Hated him. Her brothers and sisters? Hated most of them. Learning about what really happened to her aunts just about killed me. Then learning about what really happened to her and Draven in their past lives?!?! Really made me want to cry. So, it's fair to assume that I didn't shed a single tear for those monsters while they were breathing their last breath. Honestly, they died too quickly for me.

Speaking of deaths, there's just so much of it in this book. Some almost broke me, and I definitely shed some tears. I'm not sure if I will ever recover, but I am glad about one thing: another book. No, not in this series. But for a new series, Bloodwing Academy, that features Medra.... Pendragon. If you know, you know.

I don't want to spoil anything, but just know that I'm excited and hopeful. Or maybe I'm just completely wrong and diving into that series no matter what. Only time will tell.

Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC of this title.

Morgan and Draven have been on an endless roller coaster of pain, battle, and death for the sake of two continents and the people/fae on them. This final chapter will determine everything. Will Morgan's true father wield the three powerful relics or will Morgan be able to stop him from destroying them all?

What a ride! This series has been so much fun. The characters are amazing and I connected with them immediately in the first book. The journey of discovery that these people go on shows how much thought the author put into their development. I will say that the ending is a tad underwhelming. I expected a few things to happen to show that the curse of the Siabra had been broken and I was left hanging. **Wink wink** I will provide a touch of criticism here as well that a lot of this installment felt like it belonged in other books/movies. I was getting major Iron Flame, Lord of the Rings, and Clash of the Titans vibes throughout this book and, honestly, it didn't feel necessary. It felt like an intentional nod to these works or like popular elements plucked to make the story feel familiar. I don't know. But, overall, loved the series. Don't regret a thing.

Knight of the Goddess. My fellow readers. Morgan and Draven set out together to put an end to all who wants cause harm to their small circle of family. This last leg of the story covered so much. I was very happy that it tied up loose ends from the beginning of the series to Meranda’s part.
There were so many characters who contributed their mindset and their skills and their lives to save the lives of their kingdom, so that it may thrive for their children. I always love action and entertainment from a book and this book had a good amount of it.
It kept the book live and a page turner. The romance or shall I say steamy romance that happens with Draven and Morgan is always an added plus. The scene in the Church was a whoah! The book was great. The writing was talented.
I look forward to more writing from this writer. Until next my fellow readers. Read on!

An immersive and magical Arthurian retelling - 3.5 stars! As this was the final instalment of the Blood of a Fae series I knew there was going to be some tragedy and emotional damage. The book centres around an epic quest that our beloved Morgan and Draven embark on. This was full of action and adventure. Throughout the book there are various reveals and this kept the pace steady.
As always what I loved most was the animal companions, of which there are plenty!
If you are looking for a fantasy romance with a strong FMC, found family, bonded mates and mythological creatures then this is the series for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.
