I borrowed the 1994 edition from my library. This book is well intentioned but implausible. How can there be only 4 personality types? Why reinforce the stereotype that crossed arms means a person is "closed" or putting up barriers? There are probably kernels of truth buried in here somewhere, but I've already been put off and it feels as though the author is taking liberties. Better just to borrow a first-year psychology text that covers the basics of communication.
I realized that I am a Driver, so is my best friend. And my ex/current/ex song-and dance boyfriend is an Elitist. After a while it just told me things that I already know and have tried, and failed with him.... Stlil pretty helpful though. Worth the read if you're interested in the differences between personalities.
