Although the book feels a little old now, much of the information and advice is still quite valid. Good information about making designs for fabrics, along with print designs, colours, layout etc. Although the author is Scandinavian, the translation is good and information easily understood. Great for both teen and adult art and design students.

This is a wonderful design book that I like to return to for inspiration when sketching or designing new projects, either in print or embroidery. It covers color theory and has a lot of inspiring exercises to try.
