Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart is the first book in the Magnolia Grove Series. This is a series where each book is written by a different author set in the same town! I loved reading series with the same premise in the past, and judging from the first book in this series, I know I’ll love it once again! Now, let’s get to this review.
Emmalee thought she had everything she wanted, but the day she realized her six year relationship and impending marriage was no longer working, was the day she ended things, packed up her bags, and moved back home to Magnolia Grove. She quickly found out how much she missed home and her family and friends… But now, comes the scary part. Learning to live again and finding dreams of her own.
Mattie had the world in his hands, being the quarterback that everyone talked about was quickly putting him on the map! Until an unfortunate accident left his throwing hand out of commission. Now, Mattie is back in Magnolia Grove, looking for a fresh start where there aren’t camera’s shoved in his face, questions being asked, and sponsorships being dropped. He wants a life out of the limelight for a few, is that too much to ask?
When Emmalee sets her sights on Mattie for the first time in years, what she thought was a childhood crush on her older brother’s best friend, comes roaring back with a vengeance. This time, she’ll take matters into her own hands… Can you say, plot twist?
My Thoughts:
Cary Hart brought the swoon, the spice, and the comedy with Single Southern Flirt. Mattie and Emmalee are freaking adorable together! I couldn’t get enough of these two and their friends,
Let’s start with Magnolia. I loved the concept that she was trying to find herself, after being in a six year relationship where it was all about the man in her life and his goals. And I loved how her friends and brother kept throwing jobs at her to try to spark her interest in something. I also loved the shy clumsy girl that came out when Mattie first walked back into the picture. This girl was too much sometimes, and I mean that in the most positive way.
And then we have Mattie. Oh Mattie, you sweet southern talking man, you! Here is a man who once had the world in the palm of his hands one minute, and in the very next someone swipes it away. It was sad to see that dream fade away. You know what they say, though, When one door closes another one opens! I loved seeing the smiles and the laughter come back with Emmalee. I loved witnessing the stress leave his shoulders and the carefree spirit come back. My heart felt their connection and chemistry!
I dropped a star because I felt like I was missing a few key scenes… and that is all I’m going to say at this moment due to spoilers. I wanted just a little bit more for me to push this one up to a full rating.
Overall, I really enjoyed Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart. Let it be known, if you love small town romances with endless flirting, and a brother’s best friend trope, don’t hesitate to pick this one up!!

Mattie and Emmalee bring the banter and sass, have great chemistry, as well as a drama. The side characters are fun, and we have now set up the town for future books. I always love a found family.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author, and it was a total joy! I loved Emmalee and Mattie together! They brought plenty of witty and sassy banter, spicy hot chemistry, a little drama, and the right amount of light and sweetness. The world building is top notch with so many compelling characters that the stage is certainly set for the rest of the series. I’m already intrigued about where some of these other storylines might go!😆 The book was full of fun dialogue with Emmalee and her girl squad, as well as other characters. You just can’t beat a well written small town/found family vibe! I’m so glad I gave this book a chance! You should, too!

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart was a book I didn’t know I was craving! This is the first time I've read any of Cary Hart’s books but she now has a new fan!! I would read and review for her any day!! This book was an easy, fast paced, quick read that can be devoured in one sitting! It is so good and needs to be put on your tbr list!
Sarah Paige needs to be commended on her breathtaking cover graphics on Single Southern Flirt! Not only did she capture the beautiful couple but the colors were breathtaking. It captured my attention and made me want to know what the book was about.
I love how Cary dedicated her book to her friends by using their names as characters. Her friends have such cool and unique names. I loved it!
Single Southern Flirt brought up a lot of emotions in me from smiling ear to ear, cracking up laughing, feeling empathy for the characters, and believing in love again.
Ohh Mattie and Emmalee are my new book couple!! Their sexual tension and chemistry was off the roof!! Cary did an incredible job in the spice category with these two.
There is so much that I loved about this book that it deserves way more than 5 stars! You just need to read it to see why I loved it so much!

Emmalee is back home after her life tanked when she caught her fiance cheating on her, and while she's not brokenhearted over him, she's still not feeling that great because she feels pretty embarrassed over her decisions. Matty is her brother's best friend, and he's home for a bit after an injury tanked his pro football career, and he's feeling awful about that with not having a clue as to what he wants to do next. Emmalee has always had a crush on him, so after she's forced to go out with her best friends (who are absolutely hilarious by the way), she sees him that night, and they plant a seed in her head about moving on with a night with Matty. They both end up helping her brother fix up his newest rental house (which she is now staying in), so when she gets up the nerve to approach a one night stand, he's totally down for it, and it's immediately apparent that one hot night will not be enough. I loved these two together, but of course they didn't tell her way over protective brother for a minute which always keeps me all kinds of anxious. However, Matty isn't sure what his next step will be so will everything they could have go up in smoke once he's decided his next step? I absolutely loved this sweet with heat, hilarious story set in this quirky small town so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Emmalee comes back home to Magnolia Grove broken, having found her fiancée of several years had cheated on her, she packed up and came back to the south. Now she has to figure out what her next steps are, but thankfully her best friends and her brother have that covered for her and proceed to get her odd jobs. The biggest help is that her brother lets her stay in his newly acquired fixer upper. What Emmalee wasn't counting on, was her brother's best friend coming back into town, just as broken as she was, and the sparks that flew when they were around each other. Just how mad will her brother be when he finds out that the two crossed that line?
This was a great story, pulls a reader in from the start and keeps them hooked with the drama, laughs, and spicy moments. I love that this is a series with several authors having their own book, it's a great way to find a new author. I give this 4 stars.

Every side character in Single Southern Flirt will be featured in other books throughout the series. I love the fact that even though there are multiple authors, the setting takes place in the same town. I can’t wait to follow the characters throughout the series!

Single Southern Flirt is the first book in the multi-author series set in Magnolia Grove. It's the second book I have reading the series. This one is Matty and Emmalee's story. Emmalee has retuned back home to get a fresh start. Matty is her brother's best friend who is back home trying to figure out what is next after an injury tanks his football career.
I thought this one was just as sweet as the second book. It is a lot more on the steamy side than the second book. I loved watching Matty and Emmalee give in to their attraction. The history that they shared made it easier to be more invested in their HEA. I also loved that both of them were searching for "what comes next". Life often throws us curves and we find ourselves trying to figure that out. One of my favorite scenes was with Matty's high school coach. I think we all need someone like him in our lives to give us reminders of what we have to offer. I'm loving the stories set in this town. I look forward to reading more. I highly recommend this one.

Emmalee has just ended her 6-year relationship with her lawyer fiancé because he cheated but somehow made it her fault (insert eye roll). she's been back home for 2 weeks and is being forced to listen to her parents' special time. her brother just offered her to live in his new retail property and her bestie is making her go out. Wanting to make it big in the NFL, Mattie was on his way to make it as the famous quarterback that he wanted to be, but one stupid night basically ended his career trying to stop a fight, ended up with a cut down the middle of his throwing hand all from a broken beer bottle. Both back in Magnolia Grove for a different reason could it be fate or just flirting around with each other. Also, Mattie is Emmalee's bog brother's best friend and is totally off limits or at least it was. Will that cause a flag on the play or will it head for a touchdown.

The chemistry between them was intense but so were the emotions they shared. They are both at a crossroads and I enjoyed the way they supported each other as they found who and what they wanted in the future.

Well put them together and the sparks flew. I mean we all know that brothers best friend crush. But the ride and the best friends Lucy and Zoey!! And all the jobs that Dean and Zoey get her!!! I mean this book is funny. It will definitely be a good afternoon read for you. I would definitely recommend it!!

Unfortunately for her, Mattie, her brother's best friend is also back in town at a crossroads in his career. The spark that has always been hidden comes out when the two spend time together and although it is only supposed to be one night, it ends up being so much more. Can you really fall in love while you are keeping the relationship a secret? And once Mattie has an opportunity he cannot pass up will he chose love or career? Loved this couple and cannot wait for more in the series. As always, Ms. Hart gives her readers the perfect combination of laughter, love and family.

I absolutely loved this storyline. I love books that are in a series about small town romances. This is the first one in the Magnolia Grove series and starts the series off with quite a bang. Highly recommend digging into this series.

What a fun start to a new interconnected series. I absolutely loveca brother's best friend troupe, so this was sweet as southern tea for me. Injured football star comes home to his small hometown to end up falling for his best friends sister, who is home, healing a broken heart. This is what romance stories are all about. The cast of characters in this Alabama town are going to be so much fun to read.
Emmalee and Mattie were all sweet heat. They have both held reservations about exploring a relationship due to her brother Dean, but when they finally decided to cross the line, all made sense. These two lost souls find themselves in each other.

This multi author series starts off on a high with this brother’s best friend romance. Mattie and Emmalee have both returned to their hometown licking their wounds after their lives were turned upside down. As their paths cross sparks fly and Emmalee decides she is going to take a chance like she always wanted to. The heat between these two is scorching hot and will have your skin tingling. As these two fight a forbidden romance, feelings will become confused as dreams open up making choices hard. Their story is filled with emotion, witty banter, drama and ultimately love. A winning storyline with characters that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Wonderful start to this series. Emmalee has returned to her hometown of Magnolia Grove after a failed relationship. Her brother Dean's best friend and teenage crush, Mattie has also returned after his NFL career is cut short. Dean asks Emmalee to move into his property to help with renovation, he also asks Mattie to help with the heavier work. As Emmalee and Mattie try to work out what they need to do to move on, they end up unable to resist each other. However, keeping things quiet especially from Dean proves eventful. Looking forward to the rest of these stories.

Emmalee and Mattie are both back home in Magnolia Grove because life has thrown them both curve balls. Mattie was injured and his football career is probably over. Emmalee caught the man she thought she would marry cheating on her. Dean, Emmalee’s brother and Mattie’s best friend gets both of them to work on his new rental house together, and sparks fly. This is the first book in the Magnolia Grove, and it was a very quick sweet read. This series will be all set in the same world but written to a lot of new to me author’s like Cary Hart. Emmalee and Mattie were a great first book to intro us to this series and I hope both their brothers are getting books as well.

I truly enjoyed the first book of Magnolia Grove’s multi-author series. The first book revolves around Emmalee and Mattie.

Mattie came back home after injuring his hand causing him not to be able to play on the NFL anymore.
Each of them came back for different reasons but found a place to call home in the end.
This was a great small town, brother’s best friend, and second chance romance.

After finding her fiancé cheating on her, Emma returns to her hometown. Matty is Emma’s overprotective brothers’ best friend, and he is a pro football player, and he heads home after a career ending injury. The sparks fly between Matty an Emma, and the chemistry between them is undeniable.
This is a well written, easy to read story which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, heartbreak, romance, humor, witty banter, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Single Southern Flirt is the first book in the new Magnolia Grove series by various authors, which promises to be an exciting new small-town series. This first installment features Mattie, an NFL quarterback who got injured and goes back to his hometown of Magnolia Grove, and Emmalee, who had always had a major crush on her brother's best friend. The story was good, the characters were very likable, and I'm really excited about this new series. I would definitely recommend this first book in the series.

This was a great way to start a new series! Emmalee caught her fiance with another girl and she moved back home to regroup and heal. Mattie was a professional football player who suffered a career ending injury and is at a crossroads himself. Doing a favor for his friend Emmalee's brother, he starts helping to remodel a place that Emmalee has moved into. Sparks fly and they decide to have just one night together. We all know how that goes! I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness and I am looking forward to more from this series!
