This brought back a few memories. Most of the time I spent in Newcastle was a few years before this was written, but there's also quite a gap between this book and the present day. Some of the places have changed quite a bit or no longer exist. Enjoyed the nostalgia and the acerbic humour. Probably best read a bit at a time.
