‘Us’ follows Memphis Cooper, and how he went from an innocent boy in a “Christ-like” household with an abusive bigot of a family to the infamous ‘Windy City Cannibal’. Experience a psychological transformation of a psychopathic killer’s mind. A priest, Father Carlos Parmer, has a bright future in his career in the Catholic Church. Father Carlos is sent on a mission to bring the soul of the infamous ‘Windy City Cannibal’ to Christ. The Church hopes to gain notoriety to their reputation. Fate has a plan of its own. Dramatic story and psychological twists will toy with the reader’s mind. Part One is only the beginning.

The consequences of part one force you into an organized state of chaos. The birth of an antihero ,John, will battle his inner demons for control of his moral compass as he pays his debt. His debt is forced on him with crucial results if he ignores his destiny. Serial killers and what shapes them, collide with a struggle of morality in this gore feast with a purpose. A white knuckle experience will leave the reader with shivers of fear. A wide variety of characters are all connected to one beginning, the ‘Windy City Cannibal’.

Oh my goodness was this perfectly violent, sadistic and amazing!!! This is horror at its finest. Post does not hold back in this book at all!! I love the twists and turns. There are so many WTF moments and a ton of things I did not see coming!!! Reader beware- this will keep you up at night! And the ending…..complete insanity!!! Creepy and phenomenal!

Good evening, Darlings of Darkness,
I am so upset with myself for sitting on this book for such a long time. It was just hanging out in my Kindle library like a wet sock. Then I got roped into reading it, and let me tell you, you need to be on your A-game with this one. If you have read "Violence on the Meek," "Bones," and "Father Forgive Me," then I would say yes, you can possibly read this book. Even I had moments where I had to take a break.
The twists and turns alone will throw you off. Even today, I still run to some friends and ask, “Hey, but did this happen or that?” No, seriously, the rabbit hole was long, and the end was hard. I loved the message behind the story and how Post portrayed it.
Now, I will tell you that you need to keep track of characters and names. The book jumps between past and present, and everything matters. This is a HEAVY book: blasphemy, occult, unaliving, body parts, and just about everything imaginable are portrayed.
Remember, Google exists—do your research. If you go in blind and get offended, well boo, that’s on you. This is EXTREME to the MAX. However, it is a beautiful story between two... got you again.
Read it or don’t, I loved it.

This book was absolutely wild. Vile. And the descriptions were off the charts I was honestly freaked out. And the end..was INSANE. 🫠

I don’t know if I would be able to find a book that is more gory and dark than this book was. It’s a challenge I’m willing to accept, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. This book had me shocked from beginning to end. If you have trigger warnings, make sure that you know what this book is about before you dive into it. This will definitely be an October read every year.

Uhhhhh.... OK. So. This book had so much potential but like wtf was the random ass parts like the mermaid and other random side stories!?! I HATED hated hated how the stupid demons talked! You could barely understand them. Worst part.... DID A 5 YEAR OLD PROOF READ THIS AND APPROVE IT!!!?? Like wtf!!! Spelling errors it was ridiculous!!!!!!

We're on some fucked up supernatural shit with this one!
This was definitely a ride, this is my first read by Post Mortem and I enjoyed it. I feel at times it dragged a little bit but everything added to the story. It's a great story plenty of gore and depraved shit, I also feel it has a mystery to it as well kinda. It touches on religion, I love when books touch on religion, it just feels different to me. This was good, I'm satisfied with it, I'll give it 3.5/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐. In my opinion it drags at times but it's totally worth it in the end. Also in my opinion this is one for more experienced readers of the genre considering all of the violence. Great read, definitely will check out more by this author as this one has me intrigued to read more of his work. Pretty good in my opinion. 3.5/5!

No one is safe in this book no one! The wild ride this book was and level of detail it has is overpowering. With that being said, there is a message in this book and it’s up to you to find it. The deeper understanding of things while reading a level of depravity I was but wasn’t ready for was cathartic. The book is morbid and grotesque in the best ways. The revenge and absolution in this book had my mind warped. I had to take breaks to ensure I read this book properly. Just when I thought I was undeniably wrong. This is a book that will stick with me!

Omg !! This book is so sick and twisted in the best way possible !! I questioned a lot of things throughout reading this book but trust me when I say everything has a purpose and all your questions will be answered !! When I finished reading all I could think is “I want more, I need more.” This book does contain a lot of gore and disturbing details, if you’re a horror fan of any sorts you’ll love it 🤭🤭🤭 this book with forever live rent free in my head.

This is a very brutal book and I loved it. It is very fast paced, there is always something going on or new information or new characters that are coming into play. The characters and character development is amazing in this, I was into all the characters: The good, the bad and the totally insane. The ending is absolutely intense and I'm ready for more from Post-Mortem.

Red dragon meets American psycho (the book) mixed with supernatural.. this wild ride kept me guessing what was going to happen next. Fast paced. Great character development. Quite possibly some of the weirdest scenarios I’ve ever read. I’m picky with splatterpunk but this book has a fantastic story line and I need more lol cause I don’t think it’s over yet.

This book has got to have the most masterfully crafted plot. So many moving parts throughout the story that manage to all come together. So much darkness and depravity. I loved reading it.
