Hillary Harper takes her readers through the minds of a dog for this Thanksgiving treat. Cannoli is a Thanksgiving loving dog who cannot wait for his favorite time of the year. It adds a co.edic twist, having Cannoli and all his friends thinking Thanksgiving is going to be cancelled as punishment for being a "bad dog." It shows an innocence of a dog and not fully understanding the humans in his life.

What sold this story for me the most though was the good pet owner care it shows the little ones reading the story. Something as simple as talking about daily walks, treats, socializing with other dogs, and just pieces to a whole when it comes to caring for a dog. Showing little ones this prepares them and let's them know what to expect that they will have to do for their dogs. It's filled with great examples.of being a good pet owner while telling cute story through the eyes of the dog. I would definitely recommend this to the little ones for the November month or any time of the year.

What a lovely children’s book about an often overlooked holiday!

Thankful for you is the perfect book to read with your little one and you get ready for the holiday season. Cannoli and Cami are a wonderful pair and I love that Cannoli learns that being thankful for our furry friends doesn’t mean we expect them to be perfect. The illustrations are lovely and very detailed. I can’t wait to gift this my nephew for the upcoming holiday season.
