By far, this has been Mavis’s favorite book of the Spooky Season. It doesn’t have a plot, but this counting Pop-up book tell its own story if you’re paying close attention.
Moral: Learning to count is alway fun, but it’s MORE fun with six werewolves howling at the moon.
Length: We’re just counting to 10 here, so this is a quick board book that can be read multiple times in a sitting.
Favorite Line: “Eight vampires turn into bats! Eeek!”
Overall Impression: The pop-ups are more durable than the rest. The pages are colorful and festive. The 10 things we count are all related to one another. And it is not annoying or a dumbed down version of Halloween. We’re already looking for a Christmas version.
