She’s been watching him fight from the shadows for months, completely enamored with him.
And who would be better at teaching her how to defend herself against her abusive brother than Lev, the man Jolene’s brother can’t seem to win against.
If you take the first and second book from this series and mix them together, you get this book. 75% of this book, I swear I read in the former ones. If the next book is the same I’ll have a mental breakdown.
Quick read. The plot keeps you hooked. Likable mc’s. I love Lev’s brothers.

And the ”he’s so big” ”it’s not going to fit” ”it hurts so bad” ”I wont be able to walk straight” GIVE ME A BREAK PLEASE It’s torture reading.
I got it the first time, there was no need to shove his piercings up my face over and over. Too much focus was put on them.
I skimmed the smut. Too much and quite boring.
The insta-love. In the first two books, it worked okay but this was too much. Jolene and Lev met ONCE where Lev says he can’t bring her into his dangerous world even though he reeeeally likes her. Two days later (with no contact) ”I can’t stay away from you, I tried but I can’t” oooookaayyy
God, she’s already got me wrapped around her finger and owns every goddamn part of me. 34% in.
”So when are you getting married?”
“I mean, you’ve been dating for like a week now, so that’s gotta be a family record. Shouldn’t she already be pregnant with a ring around her finger?” All. Three. Books. Condoms? What’s that??

So I was not at all excited to read Lev’s book as well as Vitaly’s because of how big of a manwhore they both are but I will say I was pleasantly surprised.
Lev was all about Jolene the minute he sees her. Not even before that is he thinking about or with any women but the moment they make eye contact he wants her. I mean they didn’t even speak, they made eye contact for like 5 seconds and then days went by and he was still thinking about her. I do appreciate that her manwhore characters always end up being the most loving and adoring ones. That’s exactly what Lev was. He was so damn sweet to Jolene from the very beginning. He didn’t look at a single woman this entire book aside from her and I loved that!! You can tell he hated his past and all the woman that were in it when he finally found someone he loved. I liked that she called him out of how many woman he’s been with but he made sure to reassure her so many times that she’s the only one and will only ever be the only one.
I really liked Jolene. She was spunky and funny when we first meet her. I just always feel like the woman lose a little bit of their original character after they finally fall in love with their men though.
Things I didn’t like:
-idk what this author has against her woman actually doing things like having a hobby at least. I mean Jolene was a 19 year old who literally just sat at home all day watching Netflix. We never hear about any of her interests or anything she wants to do. I feel like all of her female characters are like that.
-There was so much emphasis on Lev’s piercings. Even in the prior books I feel like they were talked about soo much and made such a big deal of. I mean in this book they were mentioned a whole lot and it got annoying after a while. Like we get it, his junk is pierced and he has a eyebrow and lip ring. Let’s move on.
Overall this was a really good read though. I’m patiently waiting for Matvey and Alina’s book and it can’t come fast enough!!!

I wanted to read sasha's parents' book before I read his but Looks like it's not gonna be the case😂😂😂
life is too short to read about a book where she saw him whore around for months.
Especially that she was obsessed with him While he never noticed her until his fight with her brother
and of course we can't have a manwhore without his virgin fmc because how else will the world go around?
someone call that crazy lady obsessed with virgin untainted fmc she would love this book
I think about him more than I should, and for my own good I need to stop. I’ve watched him leave with so many different women after his fights, and every time I see one of them climb on the back of his motorcycle before he speeds off, a part of me dies. He doesn’t seem to have a girlfriend, though. It’s always a different woman, never the same one twice, and the fact that I’m clinging to that tidbit lets me know exactly how pathetic I’ve become.

The search for Alina continues, and the brothers are getting closer to finding her and bringing her home.
Jolene has been physically abused by her brother all her life, and one day, she finally gets the courage to ask Lev,an underground fighter to teach her how to defend herself.After following him one day,he agrees to teach her how to defend herself.
She has lusted after him from a far, and when they finally come into contact with each other,they are inseparable.
Typical of all the brothers so far in this series, there is instalove and lots and lots of sex.Lev was a prior manho,but the minute he sees Jolene,all other women cease to exist for him.Jolene is a very horny virgin.
I am looking forward to Vitaliy's book next. His heroine is going to have her hands full, and I bet he is going to fall hard!

Todo lo que Lev decía para hacerla sentir segura era lindisimo. Un completo blandengue, pero solo por su chica, eh.
Ahora, tengo muchas ganas de leer a un Vitaly enamorado. Solo de pensarlo me hace reír. Disfrutaré leer como queda rendido a una mujer.

★★★. Again, I love the overarching plot and how all these men are doing everything in their power to find Alina and take down the whole sex trafficking ring.
Lev, I liked a lot. I had a feeling he would’ve been one my favorites just based on his crumbs in the others books. He was unapologetically himself in the other ones but in this one you could see the shift and realize he didn’t want to be this one night stand guy anymore and seeing Jolene changed that completely. I love how he saw her and knew he was damned. He was so protective of her and I loved him getting revenge for her. His past I didn’t care because he quite literally did not know Jolene so like who cares.
Jolene. Hm. I liked? Sorta. Her past I felt bad for. I hate that she believed for years that she killed her mom all because she was born and how her brother and father blamed her for that. I loved her realizing she didn’t and how she found a new family with Lev. I hated her being sold. It wasn’t needed. We did not need two back to back books with both mmcs purchasing the fmcs. It could’ve just been the brother trope for this. My reason for not liking her. Simple, girl was a loser for Lev. She watched him, lowkey pined for him and said “im pathetic but im going to continue to be pathetic” and damn did she. Once she started getting banged, that’s all she did. She had no personality besides Lev and it bothered me because SHE COULDVE BEEN A FIGHTER. Why did we get two scenes of her training and nothing?! AGAIN WHY DID SHE HAVE TO BE PREGNANT?! I love the pregnancy trope but enough is enough.
Matvey and Alina I need. I hate that they still have no clue where she is or anything. I have my theories. Vitaly is next and I’m curious about him. The reason for this not being higher was because of well the overused same side plot. She didn’t need to be sold. She didn’t need to get pregnant. She said she wanted to do something with her life and now she’s just a wife…which okay cool but she’s 19…

ARC review
I was lucky enough to be chosen to receive an ARC of this book and it was everything I hoped it would be and more.
First off let’s just begin with the fact that no one writes possessive/protective men like Sonja Grey. The Melnikov brothers are everything you want in a man and more.
This series follows the Melnikov brothers who are searching to find their sister who is missing since being sold into human trafficking a year and a half ago. They have spent every second since searching for her by trying to get close to the men in charge of the trafficking operation. To do that the brothers must pose as customers looking to purchase woman.
This book specifically follows Lev and Jolene. Lev is a boxer and he meets Jolene when he is set to fight her brother Sebastian. Sebastian is abusive to Jolene and when things start to get worse with him she works up the courage to propositions Lev (who she has had a massive crush on) to teach her to fight in order to protect herself. Lev has a history of being abused as a child by his father and so he recognizes pretty quickly that she is being hurt and he instantly feels a responsibility to help her.
Lev begins training her and they both realize pretty early on that they have really strong chemistry, however Lev is convinced his life is too dangerous to get involved with her so he tries to keep it platonic. But alas, he is only human and realizes he can’t stay away. But Sebastian doesn’t make it easy, and Jolene ends up in serious danger with the same men that the brothers are working to take down.
Now lev has no choice but to bring Jolene into this very dangerous world he lives in in order to keep her safe.
Fantastic book overall, I can’t count how many times I was laughing out loud at some of the scenes with the brothers and their bickering. Even the bonus epilogue had me grinning ear to ear. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! Thankfully Sonja is a writing machine and doesn’t make us wait too long between the books so I love that for us.
One thing that is important to note is that the main storyline of this series starts in book 1 and does not conclude until the end of the series. So while each couple does get their HEA, the main storyline is not complete at the end of this book.

Ok so I'm obsessed with the Melnikov Brothers, that much is obvious but how are you not supposed to be obsessed with them and their ladies, it's impossible.
This is the 3rd Book of the series and it follows Lev, the fighter and the owner of one of my all-time favorite quotes, but unlike the previous books this is by far the most serious one for me, I mean if Vassily is anywhere your gonna laugh and the house rules just keep getting better, but the feeling of angst in this book really shifted from the lighthearted banter of the first two books, and that made this book so special its a must read for sure.
Lev: for me, this character was a complete surprise, the rage, sad and loneliness you feel with his POV, is so well written I swear I wanted to give him a hug and a lollypop but at the same time he is so strong... he is the fighter, the do all you have to do to get it done fighter. No spoilers but the last fight OMG I was like YES!, and the way he adores the FMC and cares for her and needs her, Sonja knew what she was doing writing him. I must admit that the "it's better to let you go" troupe is not my thing (I mean self-sacrifice ok, dumb sacrificed not) but Sonja made it work so I was happy.
Jolene: I mean just the name, love... love it and her, absolutely adore her, this woman has been through the wringer and the way she is not bitter or angry is encouraging and also so sad, but she finds her villain and OMG does she enjoys him. The unconditional love she gives is beautiful.
The series keeps getting better and better and better and now I'm scared for what its going to happen in the next books because the epilogue has my brain creating so many scenarios it just not even amusing at this point. (kidding, I love it!!!!)

No spoilers but the last fight OMG I was like YES!, and the way he adores the FMC and cares for her and needs her, Sonja knew what she was doing writing him. I must admit that the "it's better to let you go" troupe is not my thing (I mean self-sacrifice ok, dumb sacrificed not) but Sonja made it work so I was happy.
Jolene: I mean just the name, love... love it and her, absolutely adore her, this woman has been through the wringer and the way she is not bitter or angry is encouraging and also so sad, but she finds her villain and OMG does she enjoys him. The unconditional love she gives is beautiful.
The series keeps getting better and better and better and now I'm scared for what its going to happen in the next books because the epilogue has my brain creating so many scenarios it just not even amusing at this point. (kidding, I love it!!!!)

I'm loving this series so far, and Lev's story was an absolute delight. I'm really enjoying following the brothers' journey to get Alina back - it's so intriguing. Jolene's character was a perfect mix of sweet innocence and confidence, and I loved the chemistry she had with Lev. Honestly, the story is at such an exciting point that I can't stop guessing what's going to happen next. I just wish the entire series was already out so I could dive right in and see what happens! Also, I have to say that Sonja's writing keeps getting better and better. When I finish a book and there's no new one in sight, I often find myself going back to reread her other series. It's just that good!

Целият е покрит с татуси и пиърсинги (и нали Стлбата на Джейкъб, Принц Алберт), никога не се е обвързвал, никога не е бил влюбен, никога не е преспивал с една жена два пъти, всяка нощ е с различна и те му се мятат на врата от всички посоки. Lev and Jolene’s story is by far my favorite so far!! These Melnikov brothers are the absolute best, I fell in love with this series right from the beginning and it only keeps getting better. Lev had me swooning over his sweet words, caring nature towards Jolene and his OTT protectiveness with her. He tried so hard to stay away thinking she’d be safer, but just like Roman and Danil, he fell 100% head over heels in love with her! And when these guys fall, they fall hard and it’s the best thing ever. Lev and Jolene were excellent together, they were hot! I loved how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. And I loved how much he was aware of her insecurities when it came to other women and always made sure to let her know it’s only her and he doesn’t see anyone else.
We get a little more answers about Alina, and are finally getting closer to finding out where she is. I can’t wait for Matvey’s book, it’s going to be emotional and full of angst, and it’s also going to be a little bittersweet knowing it’s the end of the series. But I seriously can’t wait. I’ve been intrigued, and curious about Matvey’s since book 1 and am dying for his book. But next is Vitaly’s book, and I am so freaking excited and ready to see this man fall in love. I love his sense of humor and he really steals the scenes with him in it! I always find myself laughing at his comments and stories all the time. I was laughing hard with his story in this book about how his thighs got so strong as a baby! lol.
I’m hoping after this series we get Dominic’s story too.
We get a little more answers about Alina, and are finally getting closer to finding out where she is. I can’t wait for Matvey’s book, it’s going to be emotional and full of angst, and it’s also going to be a little bittersweet knowing it’s the end of the series. But I seriously can’t wait. DNF @ 31%. This is literally the same story essentially as the first two. I was trying to hold out for finding Alina but I can’t read the same love story for the 3rd time. Also, I can’t get behind the age gap. I’m the same age as the MMC and I could not imagine dating someone that’s basically still a kid.
And why are ALL of the girls virgins? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being one but sometimes it’s cool to read about an FMC with confidence and experience. None of the girls really had personalities outside of their sex lives with their men. No hobbies (minus Simona but even hers is barely touched on).
Also, we never really get to see much growth in the relationships, like there’s not a whole lot of “getting to know you” conversations. I guess the insta-love trope isn’t for me.

¿Me esperaba otra cosa? Pues sí y no, porque me lo vendieron como un 'mafia romance', y sí que lo es (porque mafia hay un rato la verdad😬💀🔪), peeeero hay bastantes cosas que no me han gustado.
Los capítulos no son largos, pero tampoco son cortos. Una cosa que sí que me ha gustado es que narran ambos protagonistas.
La relación entre Lev y Jolene no me ha encantado, aunque tampoco la he odiado, yo creo que el principal problema es que va todo TAN RÁPIDO que es muy improbable que te lo creas🥲.
Luego hay comportamientos y actitudes que son incomprensibles para mí, no voy a mencionar mucho más porque no quiero hacer ningún spoiler, pero vaya tela🫠🤐.
¿Lo recomiendo? Depende, si os apetece leer algún libro de romance y mafia no muy largo y que enganche sí que os lo recomiendo.
(yo leeré el siguiente seguro porque se queda todo abierto y NECESITO SABER MÁS, de verdad que lo que me motivaba a terminarlo no pasa😪😬).

I can appreciate an Insta Love book, but this one was way to out there. A couple of days!? Besides that annoying fact, the book is actually really good. I love found family books and this series excels at it.
The romance between Jolene and Lev, although lightspeed, was actually sweet and enjoyable to read. Bot what kept me turning the pages was the underlying story of the search for Alina is just as gripping as book one and I am eager to see how it will conclude in book 5.

Paved in Rage by Sonja Grey is Book 3 of Melnikov Bratva Series. This is the story of Lev and Jolene. This is a interconnecting series so it does add to your enjoyment if you have read the previous books. Jolene has a terrible brother named Sebastian who abuses her. Sebastian is a boxer who goes up against Lev. Lev and his brother's have been searching for their sister who was taken. In addition he was abused as a child so he knows the signs. But his past also touches his present because it makes him feel unworthy I felt. Jolene asked Lev to help her defend herself which leads to them getting closer. Enjoyed this book and Ms. Grey is becoming one of my go to authors.
