The slime isekai had minimal slime this time. It’s another volume of consecutive battles, and I had mixed feelings about some of them. Really, the character banter is what makes this work for me. Anyway, the end is nigh.

Read the German edition, that was published back in February. Can't recomend it, it is a terrible translation. But plotwise this book was actually interesting, because the protagonist had to leave the stage to the side characters.

[4.5] This was just one insane clash after another and I swear every time Diablo walked onto the page I got that instant “oh, it’s over for somebody” excitement. It cracks me up every time the entire cast collectively short-circuits whenever someone talks trash about Rimuru asdfghjk they’re all trying so hard to act composed, but you can feel that “how dare you disrespect our lord” energy.

What really hooked me was the whole labyrinth mess. It was just nonstop tension, everyone scrambling in their own corner of the battlefield and everything felt like it actually mattered. That high-stakes chaos made it ridiculously fun to read and I loved watching everyone push themselves just because they want Rimuru to be proud.

This definitely counts as a quick read. I looooved reading more about Zegion and Diablo. I’m also curious how the series will end the next volume since it seems like there is so much happening still.

Great read

This book had me at the edge of my seat. I was so concerned for everyone. I hope the battle goes in Rimuru's favor like always.
