OH MY GOODNESS THIS VOLUME WAS *SO* MESSY!!!!

I mean, it's ALWAYS been messy, but having a love square followed by Nakajima and Hatori having a low-key fallout wasn't on my bingo card for events to unfold in this volume! But here we are! 😆

This volume wasn't QUITE as exciting as the previous volumes? I'm unsure because I had a moment where it just felt too much and almost caught myself saying I wouldn't keep reading this series, but that moment quickly passed, so take that as you will. 😜

Honestly, I've been pretty fed up with Rita for a while, but dang it, he had a quick moment of swoon in this one! It was VERY brief, but it's like if you REALLY loved Hatori, why didn't you say all that MUCH sooner?? While Hatori doesn't believe his feelings are true, Hiromitsu does and I appreciate him being the voice of "reason" in this volume because Nakajima what are you doing girl?!

Granted, I admired her SUPER questioning her feelings and such because for all the crazy stuff she puts up with, she really does seem to care for Hatori and didn't want to see anything hinder their friendship. Unfortunately, there ARE things that cause issues between them and Nakajima being the person she is, pours some fuel on the fire to get a reaction out of Hatori. LOL! Makes compelling storytelling in the sense I'm flying through pages, but UGH does it make me upset about the drama that's unfolding. LOL!

I don't think there ISN'T a moment I'm not upset by or laughing at Hatori's antics, but I think it was harder than usual when seeing her be so happy at the beginning as Hiromitsu's girlfriend, only to feel she sort of fumbled for almost the entire volume? (I can definitely give credit to Nakajima for saying some smart things here to help Hatori see reason!) I know that she is sad about Rita and the rumors that are flying around about him, but she is letting a lot of it get to her and that she can't go and comfort him the same way she used to. She's so focused on that specifically that she totally misses the man standing beside her! (And wow! What a guy to deal with all the things she puts him through! LOL!) It wasn't until the last few pages that Hatori had a HUGE turnaround and actually realized her actions, which left me SHOCKED! I actually had to read the scene twice because I thought maybe I was reading it wrong! Hahahaha!

I read it right though and was quite surprised by her change of heart! It makes me want to say I'm looking forward to seeing her development in the next volume, but I don't know if I should actually say that with how back-and-forth she is. LOL!

However, I hope she WILL continue to realize how amazing Hiromitsu is because I've been really impressed with him! It's very obvious that he cares for her and I love his moments of saying something super swoon worthy and then being embarrassed by his own actions. LOL! He might have been a playboy at first, but he is totally a keeper and I hope Hatori continues to remember that!

Despite the messiness of this volume and it bringing all the complicated feelings, I will be picking up the next volume and seeing what unfolds next because that was quite the declaration at the end!!

Hatori is trying her best to be satisfied with her current relationship. However, once Nakajima gets involved, it tips her over the edge. To be honest, I get it. She's incapable of being normal to begin with and knowing her two best friends might be up to something brings out her worst impulses. I fear she's only gonna get worse. I'm surprised by how patient and understanding Hiromitsu is in all of this, though I question whether their relationship can continue to survive tests like this.

the last few volumes were “excruciating headache” messy and with this volume the manga has returned to “fun reality tv show” messy :D

Adachi's out. Not much of a spoiler there. The writing's been on the wall for at least a full volume.

But of course, this leads to more turmoil for Hatori, and some for Nakajima too, who's been on the sidelines supporting Hatori all this time, and who might be creeping toward center stage.

Is Nakajima really the self-sacrificing type who always gets what she wants? Do we even know if she actually wants what Hatori thinks she wants? Hatori, why on earth are you spying on her house when you're in the middle of your Christmas date? Get it together, you huge buffoon!

Ok, this is the last volume that I can put up. Give up. Decided to just read the last chapter and it looks like they have good ending. Congrats.

Yes, it turned out that the one and only not annoying character, finally become a really incredibly unreasonable character. You know who? Yes, the heroine's best friend, Nakajima.

I had not laugh so bad at a manga in so long, i recomend this but be prepared because Hatori cries every two pages.
