Six months after feisty librarian-turned-time-cop Beryl Blue’s last adventure with the gruff and sexy Tom ‘Sully’ Sullivan, she’s back in 2133, chasing time-traveling thieves and other temporal miscreants for the time tourism company, Time Scope, Inc. She misses Sully terribly, but fate has cast a deadly shadow over his future, and until she can find a way to fix that fate, she knows they can never be together.
Beryl’s also on a desperate hunt for the man who murdered her parents. A new lead sends her on a journey across the centuries, to the Old West, Prohibition Chicago, and the swinging sixties, before she lands back in Sully’s arms—with no way to return to her own time. The longer they’re together, the more they tempt fate. Sully’s willing to put his life on the line to protect Beryl, but she refuses to accept that risk. It’s a race against the clock as Beryl launches a bold plan to catch a killer, defy destiny, and to save the man she loves.
History, mystery, romance, and a touch of sci-fi collide as Beryl and her beloved Sully upend time itself in the fight to win their happily-ever-after, in this third thrilling adventure in the Beryl Blue, Time Cop series.

Janet Raye Stevens brings her Beryl Blue, Time Cop trilogy to a satisfying and exciting conclusion with this book. Beryl Blue is hot on the trail of the evil Niels, who murdered her parents - and doesn't have exactly happy plans for her! She gets jumped through several different time periods, with frustrating results and answers that raise more questions, until she ends up back in 1947 with the love of her life, Sully. Of course, things do NOT run smoothly, even as romance deepens between them. I'm not going to give away any of the many exciting events that begin to pull together all the pieces of the puzzle of Beryl's past and her possible future with Sully. That would be no fun for you! Just enjoy the wonderful world building Stevens does with 1947 Christmas. She's spot on in recreating the time period. You'll want to linger there as much as Beryl does. Needless to say, Stevens' humor spices up the adventure, even as the whirl of events keeps you churning through the pages.
It took me a long time to actually start this book because I didn’t want Beryl’s and Sully’s trilogy to end. However, once I did start it, I could not put it down, as each chapter was better than the next. This third book was absolutely fantastic and the perfect conclusion to the trilogy. Beryl is as feisty, and Sully is as stubborn and heroic as ever. The question remains can Beryl get the man who murdered her parents and also defy fate and get her happily ever after? She is transported through various time periods before getting stuck around 1947 Christmas. History, mystery, romance and sci-Fi are blended into the perfect mixture. A few twists made this an even more enjoyable read. The attention to details by author Stevens is how you get drawn into the story beyond the action of the plot. The whole trilogy is great with this third book being my favorite. I highly recommend diving into the world of Beryl Blue and Tom “Sully” Sullivan.
I loved this final book in the Beryl Blue Time Cop series. It was a fun, witty, heartwarming, and page-turning race to the finish of the series. No spoilers here, but ahhh, the romantic in me was happy with the ending. In this third book of the trilogy, Beryl is racing through time, meets unexpected relatives and connections, and is trying to stop the villain from succeeding with the murder of her parents...and more. Good ol Big Red Sully (swoon) is at her side, the perfect hero IMHO. I really enjoyed Janet Raye Stevens' storytelling and voice in this series and look forward to more books from her!
I'd had some... well, issues with the interpretations of Alice's findings when she'd researched Sully's history. In my mind, it was in no way certain that things would go the way Beryl (and the others) expected them to go, so I am glad to see that the end result was different from what they'd projected. All-in-all, I found this book (and the series as a whole) to be very entertaining and the wrap-up to be quite satisfying. I would read more from Ms. Stevens.
Beryl and Sully are reunited, trying to defeat destiny and catch the villain of the tale, Rasmussen. The relationship between Beryl and Sully is engaging, there is much chemistry between them and you find yourself rooting for this couple. The time travel twists and turns are clever and very ‘timey wimey’. The addition of Sully’s family in this book is welcome as we get to see another side of the ex-soldier, now cop. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this time travel series, finding out Beryl’s backstory and being with her on her travels. Post-war America was brought to life, it felt very authentic, as did the other time periods that feature in this time travel tale. Recommended for ages 15+, as there is some mild sexual content.
