I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.

        I loved this book. The illustrations are adorable and wonderfully diverse in bellies and people. Its great to see a book for kids embracing all different kids of bodies, especially bellies when they are so scrutinized in American culture. I also love how much fun all the kids are having throughout the book making it feel more like a celebration of all bodies.

Perfect little board book with very little text, celebrating all the bellies! It's so important to start building these beliefs in the early years, when kids are building their understanding of the world. Let them build a love of ALL bellies into that understanding! Let them never experience the body- and fat-shaming that us adults have (perhaps unintentionally) solidified into our understanding of beauty disguised as "health."

A beautiful celebration of lots of types of bellies! Big, small, flat, and round. "...Some have a lot of muscle. Some have a lot of fat. Some wiggle and they jiggle, and some do not. And I like whatever kind of belly that you've got!" There's great racial and body-type diversity.

I actually plan to check this out to share with some friends whose daughter loves her belly button right now. :)
