Prepared to do whatever it takes to make peace with the war-worshipping Tzenkethi and outmaneuver the Romulan Empire as their ally, Captain Sisko and his crew work alongside Tzenkethi warleader Kav’ka and Romulan Magistrex T’Galatheon to ready capitol defenses in preparation for the deadly Festival of Supremacy. But Sisko soon learns that Federation ideals won’t come naturally to the reptilian species that praises survival of the fittest over all. Can Sisko keep his crew alive, impress the Tzenkethi Autarch, and keep the Romulans from convincing warmongers that they reign supreme?
This issue was much better, though I still don't love the giant dinosaurs. At least there's a lot of action in this one. There's also a "drinking on top of the tower" moment with Kim and Paris that's reminiscent of plenty of movies, and there's a nice interaction with Crusher and Scotty. I like how this series has shown a more human side to these characters than the show often did, which is impressive in itself considering we're only at 15 issues and there have been a lot of characters. The art by Marcus To is definitely serviceable but again not my favorite. Overall, this issue made me much more hopeful about the continuation of this run, and it even has an "OH $#!+" moment at the end that made me glad I was catching up on this series and already have issue #16 ready to go.
