Vadim Bratva #1

Cruel Bratva King

Rate this book
I accidentally slept with the Bratva king. Now I’m carrying his heir.
After a day from hell, I tried to forget my troubles in the arms of a much older stranger.
When he found out he got me pregnant, he locked me into his mansion.
When I tried to flee, he forced me to marry him.

He’s part of the very organization I fought against as a lawyer.
Now I have to watch his cruelness from up close.
He says he owns my soul, tears, and body.
He says it’s useless to fight because I’m his alone.

His kiss is a red hot bruise. His body is an ice cold machine.
When he touches my curves, he makes me forget he’s a beast.
He crushes my heart, he breaks my will.
But at the end of the night, he caresses my growing belly and heals what he’s broken.

Can we be a little family after all?

The members of the Vadim Bratva rule the city and own the ground you walk on. They will burn the city to the ground if they don’t get their heart’s desire. So there’s only one Open yourself and give them what they want. Or have them take it anyway.

Veda Rose loves getting lost in the intense, dark and suspenseful universes she creates. Although her characters can often be complicated and twisty, at the core of it all is deep and profound love.

Born and raised in Portland, Veda Rose has always been an introvert who could often be found deeply engrossed in a book. Or multiple books. So it was only natural that at some point she would embark on her own journey as a writer to bring to life her wild imagination.

When she is not writing or thinking out her next tormented love fantasy, she enjoys hiking and exploring unfamiliar places with her furry companions.

This had so much promise - then went to the gutter. Ugh, insert eye roll.
So she’s having a panic attack, and is bleeding (possible MC) and the Dr. tells him that she needs to be stress free and rest. So what does he do after her getting out of the hospital?? He brings her down to where her ex boyfriend is in his basement after cutting out his tongue, and shows her this is what happens when another man looks/touches you. Umm, sure stress free, let’s just give her a heart attack. She hates him, but loves him.

The story was interesting, if I was only rating the storyline I would give it 5 stars. The reason I rated it lower is because of all the mistakes. It was almost like everything was autocorrect-wrong, and no one bothered to reread it to fix the errors. Simple words like “she” and “he” were flip flopped multiple times, making it a little confusing at times. Chapter 24 is listed as Lilianna, but it’s in Sergey’s point of view. And there were a lot of odd things said that don’t make much sense. For example: if Lilianna wanted to relocate to a new city, why would she need a passport? It would make more sense if she wanted to relocate to a different country.

Great but lots of errors and inconsistencies

I really liked this book. The characters were well developed and the storyline and plot were predictable but satisfying. Overall I recommend this book BUT be warned that there are many spelling errors and inconsistencies that can’t be overlooked. They’re very irritating and make it obvious this book wasn’t proofread by anyone but I still enjoyed it, however I won’t be purchasing book 2.

This book is in desperate need of editing. I finished it but barely. It was fast paced, there was multiple plot holes and little character development. Both FMC and MC were pretty cringy and often their dialogue jumped around a bit from thought. I think the story idea was good and it had a good foundation, with a good editor it could have been great.

Awful

Couldn't finish! The main character is unbelievably naive for an attorney. It was painful to read and there were so many typos!

Lilianna & Sergey

2.5 Star Rating

This is about a 2 to 2.5 star rating.

The storyline was good, but there were lots of grammatical/ editing issues (incomplete sentences, too many missed words in the sentences, wrong word used, places where I'm not even sure why the word was used besides it sounded like a big word... you get the point). A really good read through from an editor would help make this book better than it is.

Even though I enjoyed the storyline and some things about the main characters, the editing issues were too much, causing interruptions during the read. I did push forward and finish the book, as painful as it was.

As characters go, I prefer Sergey over Lily. She was too immature, indecisive, and often childlike, especially for being a "lawyer." You would expect a main female lead with better personality and maturity level for the profession the writer wrote her in. Then you have her being able to handle a gun without any issues at the end and claiming a "duh, guess who I'm married to" when there's been nothing to show she even knew how to hold one. She was too much of a bleeding heart for that ending to fit.

Maybe or maybe not, on moving forward with the installments to this series.

Wow very disappointing

Was it a good story? Yes it was a very good I was blown away after reading the second book Few editings but other than that the story was good. What was very disappointing what I just got done reading another book by vita rose that was copyright 2024 about another Brat a Family. So i decided to go looking for another Book by the same author and started the Vadim bratva series. This was copy written 2023. I was blown away after reading the second book to discover I could have changed the names but the whole plot, and disasters were pretty much exactly the same. I felt like I was reading the same book, different names and kept hoping it would change. I really don't know how authors make money off books unlimited But this is honestly quite shameful by this author.
I read a lot of books everyday And I have never read an author That duplicated Their book Like this one and slapped a new name on it.

Centauvo y Kervyn.

Great story but needs to be edited.

I am always a fan of a good Mafia book and this one delivers a nice read that wasn’t too over the top. Normally I would have given 5 stars but had to take off one star for the repeated mistakes in sentence structure, phrasing, etc. I could see what the author meant, but it took away from a seemless read. Other readers might not even pick up on them but I must have a proofing mind. It catches them all. Like ordering “a glass of martini”.
It almost feels like it was translated from another language and some words just didn’t convey.
I would suggest a re-edit and then rerelease it.

Poorly Written and Badly Edited

Such a shame as the storyline should be good but it’s as if it was written in another language and translated (poorly) into English or the author is very new to this genre.
So many spelling and grammatical errors may reading this very difficult. Wrong names were used, plot didn’t flow and had glaring plot errors.
It was so difficult to finish. Almost gave up numerous times. Unfortunately I will not be reading the other books in the series.
I implore the publishers to ensure this book and the others in the series get a good editing review.
I got this on KU. If I had bought this I would be extremely upset.

Needs editing

The wrong names were used at times. Weird/wrong word choice. No trigger warning was given for the fmc being slapped twice, touched intimately without consent, and almost fully sexually assaulted by a side character on page. FMC take someone life even tho her life isn’t in danger when she’s been adamantly against violence and abhors it.

The book is a decent read and had it been edited properly and trigger warnings been given, I would have given a higher rating and would probably read more by this author. But I like to know what I’m getting myself into, and this author doesn’t provide that.

story was okay but I could not get past the weird writing

The story was okay. Very similar to so many others. Readable but not great. That was due to the way it was written. So many weird phrases! Grammatically incorrect to the point that I just wanted to hurry up and finish it or stop reading it. No one says” I will have a glass of martini”! And there were several other spits that read badly. I’ve read other books by Veda Rose, and none of them were this bad. Perhaps it needs a rewrite or a better job editing it. Regardless, it was hard to read and hard to enjoy. I’m sorry.

I don’t usually give a poor review but in this case I have no choice.

Everyone is saying it's just grammatical errors, but what if it's due to what I think it is, and not at all because of a lack of an editor? A lot of the sentences do not make sense. A lot. All of it, actually. Including how she goes to tell him she's pregnant to him proposing, then telling her friend she wants to get out of the city to hide? When did she jump to the extreme like that?

“Do you think I’ll be scared of you if you said that? New flash, big guy, I’m not afraid of you.”
“Good, then you’ll have no business living with me either,” I said.

Who knew what she would do if she found out I was pregnant for Sergey?

The editing in this story was horrible. Entire words and parts of sentences scrambled or the use of the wrong words were a huge problem throughout this book, making parts of the book unreadable. Please get an editor, every author owes it to the people who buy their book.

The story was the same one I have heard too many times to count and was very predictable. Both characters had potential, but were just so-so. Lilly certainly didn't come off as a trained attorney. I thought her character was naïve and childish at times. Sergey was the typical Bratva leader who was consumed with having an heir, (which I have grown tired of reading about), so hence enters Lily; his one night stand. His brutality wasn't anything I haven't read about before this book, but taking Lilly to see his handy work, well that wasn't a smart move.

Could not get past the grammatical errors. From the way things were said to the spelling errors. This book had potential but the mistakes ruined it for me. Why would you need a passport to move states?! And how did he see a photo of her and her ex sitting when they only spoke at the clinic and she left him standing when she went to sit with Eva?! The fact she just forgave him and he never ended up learning where she was coming from frustrated me and the fact he never learned that she turned him down. He has no real character development imo.

Unfortunately the book was ruined my so many errors it spoilt what should have been a good book. Characters were well thought and the story line was good but numerous times the wrong word was used e.g limb instead of limp. Not sure what the proof readers and editors were found the day they read this book. It was almost like you were reading a book by someone for whom English was a second language. Sorry but it ruined it for me as had to stop several times to understand what was meant

Edit Book Please

I would have given this book a much better rating if it wasn’t for the constant mistakes. I had to stop more times than I kept count of to re-read the same sentence over and over. I had too in order to figure out what it should have said, or guess anyway. It messed the flow of reading the story up. I won’t be reading anymore from this author unless I know they have been edited. The book really could have been great.

First book in the series.

The plot is good , but there are inconsistencies. Lily can shoot a gun, but it doesn't appear she has experience in shooting guns. Sergey is told by a doctor Lily needs to avoid a lot of stress , but he causes her to get more stressful. For a trial lawyer , Lily acts immaturely. There are steamy scenes, violence and action. I'm don't know if I will be reading the second book.

Not Bad but, Badly Edited

I tried to get into the story; however, the editing errors made it difficult to follow. The storyline was a good idea. I wanted to follow the relationship between Sergey and Liliana it started so unexpectedly. Gulia and her father's personality are insane which makes good drama. With a few tweaks and re-edits this story will be great. Good luck to the writer(s).

Cruel Bratva King: Forced Marriage Mafia Romance

A good dark and intense book for readers of this type of romance. It was a bit of a turnoff for me though because there are too many typographical errors and grammar! I finished the book though because I love this type of setting and the story is a good one. Despite the errors it can be recommended to readers of dark romance.

The wording was weird and the story wasn't consistent. First it was he took over when he was 22 then later on he was 21 then back to 22. For the first night together it was at first they only did IT once then later on it was they went all night. The premis of the story was interesting but that's all it has going for it.

Good story but …

I enjoyed this story. I definitely appreciated the time the author spent developing the characters. The only issue was editing errors. There were some errors which should have been caught in the editing process. These mistakes sort of took me out of the story. Some of the errors made the story confusing.

Pretty good story!

Sergey wants Lilianna and she gives him the perfect opportunity to keep her when she tells him she is pregnant after their one night stand two months ago. Sergey kidnaps her after she tries to run away from him because she found out he was the King of the Bratva.

Hot obsession

I wanted to give it 5 stars... but found numerous editing errors throughout. But it was still a great story... I loved Sergey's obsession of Lilliana... that was so dark and hot. And my favorite quote from him: “I’ll f@ck you until I’m the only man left in your memories.” Now that was fire and gave me tingles!
