Vast and untamed, it was a land that tested the boundaries of a man's courage, and rugged Ian Lavery reveled an the struggle as he pitted himself against bushrangers, wild dingoes and drought.

Beautiful and provocative, she tried the limits of a man's endurance, but Ian sensed there were exquisite pleasures to be had in claiming the penniless emigre.

★★★½✩ I had a difficult time rating this one. It has been years since I’ve read a book by Ms. Edwards, and I did so now because it was a “pick an author for me” read. Usually, CE writes Native American Indian stories; however, this one set in Australia. Due to the “fair use” of expired use verses plagiarism charges against this author in 2008, I didn’t want to purchase any of her books; however, this one was free at, so I went with it.

When she arrives she ends up in the water with sharks surounding her, and when she believes that dead is imminent, a stranger saves her life...Ian Lavery. Thalia is instantly drawn to Ian but she wonders if he is as attracted to her as she is to him. So at first sh ...more

Shelves: romance
I enjoyed this book. I still like Cassie's Indian Romance stories better. It was about a young woman that went to Australia to find a better life and a rich husband so she can bring her sister over from England. She got mixed up with the wrong man and thats where her troubles began. Funny at times. ...more
