Aiku?? There’s no way this man is under twenty. I know a DILF when I see one. This man literally looks like a divorced dad of two who still hooks up with his ex-wife. I still want him though.

Shido?? Someone better lock this guy up asap.

Itoshi brothers?? Therapy babes. Therapy. Lots of it.

guys, this is really hard to say, but i really need to get it off my chest.

after seeing oliver aiku i have decided to become a meninist. i believe that men are the superior human beings. i am just a housewife that lives to serve men. i want to stay at home to do his dishes and clean his house. this is who i am now. i hope you can accept me.

I'M SCREAMING CHEERING SHITTING MY PANTS THE U20 MATCH ARC HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED OMGOGMOMGOMG THIS IS SO COOL AND AMAZING AND GIVE THE ARTIST A RAISE CUZ HE'S NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO TAKE A BREAK ISTG

i love the training stuff that happens in this match, it's a reprieve from the explosive intensity of the third selection and the calm before the u20 storm. shidou you're such a fun guy please never ever come near me. or you, aiku. i can practically sniff the stds you have you MANWHORE.

we need to appreciate some of the supporting characters more, like hiori is honestly the reason isagi leveled up and we just reduce him to either rin's boyfriend, karasu's boyfriend, karasu's wingman, or gamer streamer femboy. like yes he's all of those things but he's also an incredible soccer player!

also gagamaru you're so derpy (so are you, bachira) please never change. everyone's so amazing.

that moment when you love both Itoshi brothers... so you don't know who to root for more in the next volume

[fulcrum]

straight to the lgbtq shelf.

“since the moment you chose someone else i’ve gotten a little stronger. i fought with everything i had to keep winning and catch up with you but you’re still ahead of me. so right here i’m gonna prove that only i can stand beside you. right there nagi, the kind of spin and timing you like. i know those things better than anyone.”

“i’m sure i can’t satisfy you anymore. nagi, you look like you’re having fun compared to when you sluggishly received my passes. you’re a totally different person, dummy. he’s not the nagi from back then anymore. he’s not my treasure anymore.”

reo……wrap it up. 💜 if you only knew what was going on in nagi's head all this time. two idiots, oh my god.

3rd read (i think) and the way i noticed way more details... rinsagi i know what you are. absolute insufferable people (she says while she knew they're gonna be 10× more insufferable during the u20 match)

[Althea ☾]

the character dynamics and the writing style !!!

Seriously, I can't explain how much I'm loving this story and the characters. I love everything here.

Tempted to put this in my lgbtq folder because of Nagi and Reo

I can’t wait for the U-20 match, especially with the sibling rivalry between Rin and Sae finally being given the spotlight! Shido’s change in role was unexpected, though I’m sure it’ll only make the next match more interesting now that he’s opposing Blue Lock!

[hope]

team rin itoshi >>>>>>> over sae itoshi all the way

This volume is so gay.

controversial but if reo wont get what he wants i might stop reading blue lock and also call the cops

I’ve had enough of Rin but I don’t know who’s more insufferable between him and his brother. Rin being in Blue Lock and being Isagi’s rival means I’m supposed to root for him but I am not sympathetic to his plight at all.

Also Shidou?! I’m sensing some plot spaghetti realness going on there. And I haven’t forgotten about Kunigami!

reo and bachira are def my two favourite characters. i can't choose between them. then they are followed by nagi, isagi and chigiri.

also, i'm so excited for the u-20 match!!

Obviously I STILL can't get over this series but I really do love the space between matches. We get some fabulous, funny character moments (especially with Shidou, Aiku, and Sae) which I've been missing during the NEL matches

Original review
Idek what to say. They just get funnier and more intense and the characters get deeper and deeper into my heart. I love them.

the way that i’m utterly obsessed with this series is insane

[nush 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯]

oliver is so hot and for what

honestly im so pumped. finally getting the u-20 vs blue lock match.

also love that the concept of "flow" is kinda similar to the "zone" in kuroko no basuket

although i feel like as a striker isagi has a ways to go and after seeing the rest of them play, it's more and more glaringly obvious how much he's lacking rn. this volume and the previous volume didn't have a lot of "insane isagi" moments. hoping that changes in the next?

but the thrills this series gives u is INSANE

the animation is going to go so hard

[Jay]

Finalmente si vola nella squadra ufficiale del Blue lock. Finalmente Isagi titolare con Rin, Nagi e Bachira ✨

[lyss]

sooooo how many volumes is this match going to be...

[Mr. Cody]

FINALLY got around to finishing this one. Still exceptional, as always. Highly recommended!

[marilynn]

i aspire to insult people the way shidou does

What an illegal cliffhanger! But I can't be too mad because it leaves me at the start of Blue Lock vs. U-20 and I can't wait for that.

I am surprised though that in 13 volumes, we're at this point because I really did think it would drag but I love what Muneyuki Kaneshiro did a few volumes earlier which created this particular moment to happen. it sped up the Blue Lock process to determine the players in a very strategic way that we met new strikers along with Isagi as well as their form of play. Thanks to Yusuke Nomura's illustrations, the pace is just as fast here as in the previous volumes and I'm still very intrigued to keep flipping the pages. Some of the larger panels are beautiful to look at and see the differences in the linework that highlights the speed and pace of the matches themselves but also the different facial expressions.

All in all, I really didn't think, yes, even after 13 volumes that I would still be gushing about how much I'm all in for this manga and I don't even watch soccer but that's how good storytelling and visuals have hooked me in. Now I need to find the rest of the volumes at my library.

A little annoyed that Bachira's games weren't displayed in this manga. I was happy at least to meet the other Top 6 and see them play. I wish it didn't feel like Isagi wasn't still leagues away from the top 6. He's great but he needs the ultimate plays to stand out of the crowd. I know everywhere he goes players are impressed but I want them to see him as the #1 competition. I am dying to read how the U-20 Team game is going to turn out. Clearly, Isagi's team has to win in order for them to still have Blue Lock but there have been so many crazy twists so who knows? And what's happening with Kunigami? Where's he at? I expect this next book to be insane. Isagi better score and have an amazing game with Bachira!

[Mehsi]

Review for volumes 13 and 14! The last competitions to determine who is going to be in the ultimate team, that aggressive dude is worthless and I really think he should just be disqualified ten times over until he gets his aggression in check, there was just a bit too much blabla and I found myself glazing over, but the competition was so cool and I absolutely loved the competitions and seeing the teams kick ass, plus seeing the top team was fun as well! OK, sure, how it all ended was typical shounen, haha. There was tons of cool moves, action parts, people discovering their inner saiyans and more! I cannot wait to read more!
