This is a book of 100 common-sense directives which will lead to an uncluttered or uncomplicated life. For example, watching your tongue keeps your life uncomplicated because you're not always cleaning up your messes from ill-spoken words. Setting priorities, self-discipline, choosing joy, etc., will all help to simplify your life. Even if you're not a Christian (the perspective of this book), these maxims make sense for all people. Some statements I liked were "Is my problem really my problem, or is my real problem the way I view my problem?" "It is better to do less with peace than to do more with stress." "Run from temptation." For example, if you love sweets, don't keep them in the house. "Do your best and let God do the rest."

That last quote reminded me of one thing I didn't understand: The author says at one point that years ago, God challenged her to live a simpler life. Okay. I wonder, how did he do that? Did He tell her in a dream? A whisper in her ear? A text message? Okay, that last is a bit snarky and not nice. Now I must clean up my mess. Really though, I think scripture is the way I get direction from God for my life. I'm reminded of a friend who once told me that she had prayed to God to help her find a vacuum cleaner. Hers had broken, and she didn't know what brand would be best. One day she was driving down the road and saw a broken vacuum at curbside ready for trash pickup. She knew then that God wanted her to buy that particular brand vacuum. I looked at her incredulously and said I would have interpreted things differently. Maybe God was saying, "Whatever you do, don't buy that brand. See how it's broken?" She laughed like I was the funniest thing since Clem Kadiddlehopper. I was dead serious. I even thought, but didn't say (no need to clean up another mess): 1. Does God really care what brand vacuum we use? 2. Doesn't God have more important prayers to answer? 3. Who asks God for help with something like that? For crying out loud, look at Good Housekeeping reviews or something!!!!

Thank you for the opportunity for review to the publisher, the author and Net Galley. My review opinions are my own.

This is a wonderful Christian based guide to simplifying our lives and stop the need to constantly on schedule with activities. This is a wake up and a intelligent well written guide to making changes in our everyday lives. I have already put many of her suggestions into place. Joyce Meyers is relatable and a wonderful author.
This is not another unclutter your home book. This is a sensible guide to learning to say no to obligations, how to better appreciate doing less activities and stop the level of busy to have a more peaceful meaningful. life. I love that the author guides the reader to appreciate time with the Lord as a priority and quality time with family. My own family has designated Sunday as no technology family day and we enjoy the easy relaxed pace of worship, excericse together, board games and cooking meals together. These suggestions really do work. I love the suggestion of creating a "Margin Of TIme" between activities for ourselves. A wonderful read I highly recommend for all Christians and those seeking to improve their lives. I look forward to gifting this to friends ,

Joyce Meyer; has come out with a new devotional. Broken into 100 days, she outlines all the ways we can unclutter our daily lives - the baggage we haul around with us that keeps us from a profound contentment and relationship with our Lord.

I enjoyed this book - each day is short and includes scripture. It gave me something to build on throughout each day and a way to improve my personal relationship with God.

I recommend this book for everyone who wants to break down the barriers to that relationship - unclutter your life and get back to the basics of what is truly important.

I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

As Joyce Meyer’s books are Christian-based this may not appeal to all. If you are Christian, even remotely, I’d recommend taking a peek. When it comes to religion-based writing, I often find myself overwhelmed or even turned off. Joyce Meyer is consistently relatable, and keeps her wording terse. I find myself comforted and inspired when I read or listen to her.

The Joy of an Uncluttered Life is highly digestible. There are 100 succinct lessons that could be read once daily or all at once to bring some ease to your life. It could be useful during times of overwhelm, or just a lovely guide for creating peace.

I have been a fan of Joyce Meyer for a really long time. I love how she preaches and her sense of humor. This book was really good. At first I thought I would read it as a book, but then I realized it can be read as an devotional. I love that idea because I can read it more than once. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.

Short snippets of God's word as He helps you see the decreased stress of living an uncluttered life. Quick daily reads that can become as prayerful and long as you want them to be. Thank you to FaithWords and NetGalley for the digital ARC. This review is my own words.

I found that even though his book was small I still got a ton out of it. This book is all about slowing down and simplifying things in your life. It isn't just about throwing away clutter and junk. Do less, have boundaries, look for quality, and live simply.
