This book serves as a clear guide for understanding quantitative methods. It uses reasonable language and memorable examples. Unfortunately, it has an array of mistakes that matter because of the topic's nature.

Recommend for political scientists!

This textbook's language was very clear, easy to understand, and provided great exercises to work out some of the material for practice. Highly recommended as a resource for learning statistics applicable to the behavioural sciences.

A reasonably good stat book, but it's clearly full of a lot of bloat to justify its heft and high price. Quite often, the author explains a concept adequately only to repeat himself and use ten-cent words which only confuse new statisticians.
