A fascinating, minute-by-minute account of twenty-four hours in the operating rooms of North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, follows the life-and-death struggles that occur and the real-life doctors, nurses, and patients that take part. Reprint.
A seemingly accurate look into the life of not just the surgeons who operate in the rooms, this book covers 24 hours in one O.R., as well as examining the past life of the surgeons who operated, as well as the nurses and support staff who make the hospital run as smoothly as possible.
