It’s fluff and not especially well written fluff. Not much insight into the season is provided and it’s filled with that laughable cliche of generic athlete media response of “they played hard but we played harder”
I know literature like this is serving the specific purpose it was created for, just being disposable content for the sake of content, but I don’t think anyone would complain if it provided real insight behind the scenes. I think that Rangers line up had a lot of characters, charismatic, brainy, intense, cocky, and none of that translates to any of the player commentary. Besides a few good nuggets here and there, the rest of the analysis could range from dry to weirdly snarky?

All that being said, go rangers.

Diehard Rangers fan here- winning the 2023 World Series is something I’ll never forget! I bought this book to help re-live some of those incredible memories made during the 2023 season.

While the book focuses on the events of the 2023 championship, it has some major issues- particularly in the “lazy” department.

The entire book is broken down into chapters of particular, significant events. These chapters are simply “copy-and-pasted” blog entires from the publisher’s blog for each event. So they are written in present-tense, which can be confusing as a reader in the future.

Next, this book seems to have been written by a 5th grader- there are SO many typos and grammatical errors… it is honestly surprising how it was even published or give a green light from a publisher.

Overall, it was a fun read- I enjoyed re-living the Rangers’ 2023 title run. However, I was very disappointed in the lack-of-attention to spelling, various typos, and poorly-written sentences throughout.

Go Rangers!!

At Long Last was a great book to read, because that means my favorite baseball team won the World Series. I have following Rangers Today for a few years, but I do not subscribe to their website. The team did a great job of putting this book together so quickly after the World Series was over.

This book is a summary of the 2023 Texas Rangers playoffs and World Series win. It is a must read for any Texas Rangers fan.

“The Greatest Story Ever Told” is a phrase that is often loosely thrown around.

But for someone who has been a Texas Rangers fan since age 8 (in the Summer of 1973), the phrase accurately describes the 2023 Texas Rangers Season.

The history of the Texas Rangers isn’t a pretty one. Trust me. I’ve lived it.

And throughout my life I’ve endured the relentless rhetorical question “Why are you even a fan of the Texas Rangers?”

It took 50 Major League Baseball seasons, but at long last the 2023 Texas Rangers validated my loyalty.

This book recounts many of the events from the Texas Rangers’ historic run to the 2023 World Series Championship.

And I’m looking forward to reading every other book that also tells “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”
