Adventures of Little Bird
Little Bird has a dream. He wants to be a pirate. But not all his friends and their parents want him to succeed. What happens when the encouragement he needs is hard to find.

Captain Johnathan spends the fall and winter crab fishing in rough waters off the coast of Alaska in the Bering Sea. He co-captians the Time Bandit on Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch. He started writing and illustrating his first book, The Adventures of Little Bird Pirate Dreams in the hospital after he fell off a bull filming The After the Catch. Once he started, he finished 3 books for children. Two are on sale now, and the third will be released this fall. His books and delightful illustrations along with direct story-telling share important childhood lessons in fun, inspirational tales to be shared by readers young and old.

Captain Johnathan did a wonderful job at writing and illustrating this book. He's encouraging children to stay to their dream regardless of what others think of him. His parents support him but none of his friends do; but he stood by that dream and believed he could. And he did! Captain Johnathan wrote on a level that little ones (like my 2 year old and my two special needs children) can relate and also older readers could find fun and inspiration in this book. AND a plus for Deadliest Catch fans... Captain Johnathan included all his fellow captain's in the book...Little Bird's friends are all named after them... Sig, Edgar, Junior, Jake, Josh...etc. A very special tribute to his fellow crabber friends that is special to his DC fans!
