Prince Oliver is all set to become the next king of Verdana, but there's a tiny problem - he doesn't want to marry Princess Veronica of Kastonia. And guess what? She feels the same way. They scheme how to get out of the arranged marriage and team up with American wedding planner Grace Fullerton.

Grace, having had a some viral mishaps, seeks to redeem her professional reputation and agrees to go to Verdana for a fresh start. What she doesn’t know is that Prince Oliver is counting on her to botch everything up.

Oliver is not expecting is to develop feelings for Grace, but soon they’re falling fast and hard for each other. But when Grace learns why she was really hired, things could quickly change.

This is my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun, silly, entertaining, had some great secondary characters, and a really sweet ending. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Many thanks to the author for a gifted copy!

I’m a sucker for a royal romance and this one was full of humor and mishaps.

Prince Oliver wants to sabotage his upcoming arranged marriage, so who better to bring in than the cursed wedding planner from America–Grace? It’s so funny how she thought his proposal was fake and a way to embarrass her further, but the prince goes to great lengths to secure her services. And once she’s in Verdana, the real fun begins.

This story is one ride after another, with so many difficulties and mysterious misfortunes, which lead to the queen intervening. I quivered a tiny bit in fear with the way Grace stood up for herself, but it was refreshing to see that she could finally speak up for herself. I love when characters can be true to themselves and go for their hearts desires.

The connections and interactions between Prince Oliver and Grace are so sweet and exciting, but it was the whole cast of characters coming together, especially as the slight mystery is resolved, that really won my heart over. I was engaged with these characters on a surface level and this royal romcom definitely emits Hallmark vibes.

Light, fluffy, and silly with some swoon–this story is pure fun and entertainment with a kingdom full of smiles and laughs.

Content/TW: mild romance (kissing, )

Grace has been cursed with the worst luck a wedding planner can have, and Oliver is looking to cash in on that misfortune to get himself out of an arranged marriage neither he nor his betrothed want. Will the ill-omened calamities prove to his mother that a marriage to the bride of her choice is doomed? Will Oliver (and his heart) survive tempting Fate? Oh my gosh, that was just so much fun! Oliver and Grace were so stinking cute. Of course, their path to true love was far from smooth, but it was such a wild ride to witness. I loved how the heart of this book was about being true to who you are at your core, and that living for anyone else’s idea of your happiness is most likely guaranteed to fail. I’ve kind of gone and fallen in love with this quirky cast of characters and I can’t wait to read more about them.

Another enjoyable read

As I've come to expect, a very engaging, enjoyable story. Oliver and Grace are a dynamic couple and the Queen is very intimidating character. She was a very formidable adversary.

This was the perfect read for a holiday weekend! It made me smile and it was just so enjoyable! At its heart it is a story of family and expectations and figuring out what you truly want and finding a way to make it happen. I am glad this is book 1 in a series because I am looking forward to reading more book with this royal family.

Oliver is not looking forward to his future as King with an arranged marriage. He likes Veronica, they are good friends but he can not imagine spending the rest of his life married to her. Luckily she feels the same way. Now they need to figure out a way to get out of the wedding without causing a royal scandal. When he discovers Grace, a wedding planner in Los Angeles that has gone viral for wedding disasters, he thinks he has found a way out. The Queen is superstitious so if there are a lot of mishaps she will be willing to call the wedding off. Grace is desperately trying to find a way to rebound her career, none of the disasters she is being blamed for were her fault. When Prince Oliver extends the offer to plan his wedding she thinks it is too good to be true but what choice does she have. As Grace tries to plan the wedding it seems like Prince Oliver keeps asking for the impossible, but she is determined to save her career and find a way to deliver all that is asked of her. Prince Oliver is drawn to Grace but how can he reveal this when she's planning his wedding. The more time they spend together the clearer it becomes that the arranged marriage should not take place and the more opportunities for videos to go viral. Can Prince Oliver and Grace find a way to explore the spark without causing a royal scandal? What do Prince Oliver and Grace really want?

Thanks to Kate Rock Book Tour and the author for providing a copy for my honest review.

This book gave me lighthearted Hallmark royalty movie vibes - super sweet with lots of twists and hijinks and low spice.

Prince Oliver is looking for ways to sabotage his upcoming arranged wedding to Princess Veronica (and she is on board with this sabotaging) when he finds the viral videos of the wedding fails by Grace Fullerton, the American wedding planner, and decides that she must be his wedding planner. Will his scheme go as planned or will he lose his heart to Grace?

I was little worried about whether Prince Oliver was a decent person after he comes up with his scheme of hiring Grace and then so many problems arise that I started to think that Oliver was the culprit and didn't like Grace as much as I thought he did. But everything ends a HEA with an epic grovel from Prince Oliver which more than made up for his questionable scheme IMO.

I liked the dual POV and innocent falling in love of the characters. I definitely felt like everyone knew they were in love before they did. I wish that Grace's career before wedding planning had been introduced earlier because it felt like her previous career (which plays a large role in the ending of the book) would have been something that came in conversations or in her thoughts (like "I don't want to go back to the corporate world" etc).

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this book for free!

Ok, so I've always felt like luck kicks me in the head at every turn. Something always seems to go wrong, even with my best intentions. I don’t feel that way anymore, thanks to Grace! All of her calamities wind up on social media, and that is how Prince Oliver is introduced to the wedding planner from hell. The prince, however, is in luck because that is exactly what his plan calls for. He just better set his plan in motion before Queen Annabelle finds out what he's up to! Very lively and likable characters, even the queen, once Freddie comes into the picture, you get a feeling that the ice is beginning to melt. Catastrophes, romance, and a character named Honey Buttermaker, how could you go wrong? And I guarantee you are going to love the twins! If things can turn around so wonderfully for Grace, i am once again hopeful I can have my happily ever after as well. Yes, I do know it is a book and not RL, but a girl can hope! 😀 Another win for Mr. Rich Amooi

I always love a good royal story, but this one gave all the feels. In typical Rich Amooi fashion, it had humor that made me chuckle throughout but also plenty of action, accidents, and misunderstandings.

I love the wide array of personalities from the serious Queen to the lovable Oliver, Grace, and Veronica to the crazy Aunt Honey and Italian twins Enzo and Renzo. And who could forget the adorable puppy Freddie? It's a cast of characters that just blend together perfectly.

Amooi is a master of creating characters that you'll miss as soon as the book is closed. Thankfully, this story is the first in a trilogy, so it's not goodbye, just see you soon. Royal Crush functions well as a standalone if you aren't wanting a series, but I promise you won't be able to resist the urge to see what happens next.

OH MY!!

Well when I finish a book written by Rich Amooi I always finish with a smile on my face. I feel each book I’ve read is better than the last one. This book is full of everything that is fun and enjoyable. The main characters go through a lot but this is a real life fairy tale. I read for enjoyment and at times to learn more about our world. This read was pure enjoyment. Thank you Rich Amooi for “The Royal Crush”.

Sweet Royal Romcom

What is not to like about this book?
Grace and Oliver, what a couple.
Grace and Veronica, such a smart dynamic duo for their collaboration.
Adorable Freddie, and the Queen.
Adriana, Theo, and August....who would have thought he would step up the way he did ( you must read the book to find out what I mean)
This book is up there as one of my all time favorites from Rich Amooi.

Cannot wait to see what happens next!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC of this in exchange for my honest opinion!

Rating: ⭐ 5/5

So...this was a really good book! I love comedy and needed a break from my usual fantasy so I was happy to find out I got approved for the ARC of a rom-com. I really like the cover of this book and the description seemed interesting.

I went into this book without any expectations and I think I was laughing within the first page and didn't stop.

Grace is a wedding planner but her last wedding was disaster and now she is facing a lawsuit. The prince of a country called Verdana, Oliver, is being forced by his traditional mother into an arranged marriage with someone he considers to be a sibling. Oliver wants to get out of this arranged marriage and hires Grace as the wedding planner because of her disastrous reputation.

Veronica is literally hilarious. She is the princess of another country and is Oliver's fiancée. I think she was probably my favorite character.

I loved how clumsy Grace was. She would trip all the time and it was so funny whenever Oliver would catch her.

This book put the comedy in romantic comedy and I will most likely be reading another book by this author.

Absolute joy!

A delightful romp to an HEA with a disaster of a wedding planner, an unhappy couple, an arranged marriage no one wants, a dog named Freddie, some undesirable wedding guests, and a martinet of a dowager Queen. Amooi has a light and effective hand for humor.

This was a fun royal romance. This author has a strong sense of humour that always stands out in his books. This story was very entertaining with plenty of amusing moments and good banter. The romance was lovely and heartwarming. After all, the author does warn in the disclaimers before the story, “Warning: Side effects of reading this romcom may include a desire to hug strangers, a sudden affinity for heart-shaped objects, and an inexplicable urge to dance in the rain.” Prince Oliver, stuck with an impending arranged marriage he (and the bride) did not want, decided in desperation that Grace, an American wedding planner infamous for disasters with weddings she planned recently, was the solution. He believed that if enough went wrong then his mother would cave and cancel the wedding. Of course, as they spent more time together feelings developed, which only complicated the situation further. I enjoyed all the characters. There were some great secondary characters to enrich the story and add more humour. The main characters were very engaging. They both had to deal with the intrusiveness of media and gossip and its effect on their lives. “‘People will talk, criticize, and speculate - it’s inevitable. But if I let their words define me, I’ll be living their version of my life. The only opinion that truly matters is the one I have of myself. Everything else is just noise.’” I had a great time reading this book. I’m excited for more in the series. This is a closed door story with mild innuendo and very brief mild harsh language.

I tend not to read romantic comedies with anything “Royal” because their plots end up somewhat similar. However, the description of the book left me curious about the plot.

An American woman with her own company’s reputation in tatters is hired to plan the wedding of a prince on the other side of the world with the only expectation of her ruining his own wedding, just as the social networks claim she’s done for other clients. Little he could imagine that his life was going to change the way it did.

I got curious to see what happened after she was hired and how the Prince was going to get out of the chaos after she finds out the real reason why he hired her in the first place.

This was a cute story overall. The time I invested in reading this book was worth it, I definitely enjoy it until the end. The only thing I found frustrating is that I have to wait to read the next book in the series “Royal Twist” until its May release, but that’s what always happens when you really like a book in a series.

So this book was like watching a cheesy movie..I mean it was a tad ridiculous😭 it had its laugh out loud moments but also it’s very cringe, worthy parts as well. I could’ve done without the whole amusement part section. I didn’t care for it and it made me cringe and I skipped a lot of that, especially the whole fortuneteller scene. And the twin with the Aunt? It was just a no for me. Eugh😖
I am curious about what August’s story would be, but I’m doubtful. I’ll read it.(esp after his pool entrance..*shudder*) this was a book I finished in the day mainly for the fact I wanted it to be over lol 2.5 for the fact it made me laugh. And the first 50% wasn’t bad..

Rich Amooi does it again!

Prince Oliver and Grace are a Rom Com treasure. A black cloud of setbacks and lies befall poor wedding planner Grace until Prince
Oliver seems to sweep in and change things. But is everything as it seems? Royal protocol, centuries of tradition, hilarious shirt tail relatives, twists and turns. I highly recommend Royal Crush to every Rom Com reader. I'm excited that Royal Crush is a book series and look forward to reading them.

The first book I read from this author and it was so funny. I was worried I wouldn’t enjoy it, but it made me laugh out loud, literally. The relationship between the prince and Grace was perfect; they had the perfect amount of hardship and the perfect amount of silly. I loved the other characters as well; they made the book feel more than just a romance.

This is my first book by Rich Amooi and it will not be the last! I loved every moment from start to finish. I have to comment on the write up by the author after the copyright information. I don't want to spoil but it alone had me wanting the read the book and laughing out loud. The writer incorporates such a sense of humor all thru the book that I wanted to run not walk to the nearest bookstore and buy all his books, luck for me I just had to click on my kindle! This writer definitely has a new fan and I can't wait to read the next two planned books in this series as well as everything he writes from now to forever! Thanks #Netgalley for the ARC of this this amazing book! P.S. Five stars is not enough for me!!! It needs many more!

Wow, what an amazing story to get lost. Grace and Oliver's story was perfect for a weekend escape that kept me smiling and laughing.

I’m sad I didn’t love this or like it all that much. I love Amooi’s stories and I love royalty stories so I was really excited for this story. What I got felt like it was written by someone else pretending to be Amooi.
This story is not believeable and it isn’t all that good. I think some stuff was supposed to be cute or funny and it wasn’t. The love stiff was really rushed/quick.
I am unsure if I will read next in series. I’m not really looking forward to the characters or more of this writing “style” by Amooi.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this novel as well as the independent publisher and Xpresso Book Tours. This felt very by the numbers without a lot of surprises and it was very fine to me. I wanted something more from this and was hoping it would be more fun. I started skimming as the book went on because I wanted to get to the end and see where it could go. The last minute introduction of a character just to set up the next book in the series just felt cheap. I did not enjoy this one and would not recommend to my audience. 2 stars.
