The best book for learning to make macarons. Don't let the pros scare you off, macarons are fun and easy to make if a bit time consuming. Following the directions in this book I've made perfect macarons every time, no lie!

What keeps me from giving this a 5 star is the lack of weight measurements and the spelling of macaron. I know that's picky, but macarons are picky creatures and precision is valuable in making them.

The recipes are great and provides a lot of good tips for beginners. I dont agree with leaving the shells on the hot sheet to cool, but otherwise great info for anyone who hasn't baked them before.

I couldnt follow their temperature recommendations as I'm at altitude, so I know those adjustments, but overall, this is a fantastic little macaron cookbook.

My favorite might have been the lemon shell recipe. Many lemon macaron recipes dont have you add lemon flavor to the shells and this did. I subbed lemon curd.for their filling, but that extra step of putting in lemon zest elevates that recipes nicely.

Good flavor mixes with accessible ingredients.
