I enjoyed this when it first started off but the situation with the brothers is a bit much for me. It’s incredibly emotionally draining and the community is also kinda toxic esp when it comes to Takeshi. I feel like he’s the only character there that I can relate to and that’s incredible complex and well written. He really doesn’t deserve the hate he gets. He gets blamed for the HaruKai breakup but I think that was on Kaito. He was aware of both sides of the situation whereas Haruki and Takeshi had no idea they both feelings for the same person and still kept quiet about it. He has his reasons but I feel like that fact gets glossed over.
I also don’t ship Haruki and Kaito. As someone mentioned below as well, Haruki seems like he’s much younger than Kaito and not because of the age/height but his mannerisms as well. I think he was supposed to come across as cute/naive/innocent but I feel like that has led him to be seen as a child who’s 12 and not 18.
And a final thing, I hate people being all “CoRnELiUs iS tHeRe” to Takeshi. I see no chemistry there, just maybe a one-sided crush thing and I feel like that agenda is being pushed as a backup/second choice which neither of them deserve. I do hope Takeshi’s story gets a happy resolution.
Anyway, I’m dropping this for now.
Edit 26/11/22: I read the final chapter and… yeah. No thanks. I still think the author did wrong by someone she claims is her favourite character. He ends up with Cornelius’ sister? REALLY??? 🙄🙄🙄🙄
I really wanted to see him ACTUALLY fall in love… not this BS *3 years later* time skip gloss over.
Oh, and I’m still not a fan of HaruKai. Gives me the ick.

I enjoyed reading this a lot, and I can't wait for the next episode! The ships (or most of them) are all adorable, and I like the backstories as they help me understand the characters better. Shinzo's brother (Isao, I think?) was one of my favorite characters, and I liked Conner as well.
Now, this might be an unpopular opinion, but
But who knows? Maybe the next episodes in the series my change my mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One of the most amazing young adult series I have read so far.
The siblings. The friendships. And I don't believe I'm saying this but for the only time in my life never have I ever enjoyed and ship everyone in love triangles. It hurts to see any of the character involved get their hearts broken. I ship them all. That's the problem. It's just impossible not to love the characters, the dog, the ship (actual ship not the ship ship), of course the ships (yes the ship I ship), and even the bad guys. Each of the character has been so well developed that I feel like they are in my real life now.
I have to wait for another week for the next update. Damn.
Idk why everyone finds Haruki as cute cinnamon roll and Takeshi as some evil brother even after he always put everyone's need before him, he should have just let it all go after Kaito's accident. This is a BL, we don't need a damsel in distress who needs to be "saved" by prince charming. If I wanted that I'd read some cringe straight story. Also I don't ship Haruki and Kaito and I don't ship Takeshi and Kaito as well because I feel Kaito represents everything that is wrong in the webtoon, him going away would solve a lot of things. IDK if I wanna continue reading this.
Sehr schön illustriert Tiefgründige Geschichte, die Lust zum Writerlesen schafft Ich will wissen, warum Takeshi sich Haruki so gegenüber benimmt Interessante Informationen übers Segeln Ob Haruki je wieder segelt?

Instagram: @sandrasmangas
3.5 stars. This was a good read, but also a frustrating one. The art was mostly just okay, but there were occasional moments of brilliance. The climactic sequence is visually stunning - or maybe I was just so emotionally invested by that point that the art felt more visceral. The romance is cute, if a little cookie cutter, and the characters are extremely well-conceived. That did however mean that most of the characters were incredibly unlikable at at least one point in the story. I also did not like that Kaito mostly got let off the hook for some of the crappy things he did, whereas every other character has to come to terms with the fact that they were wrong. Kaito is portrayed as perfect and never wrong, and he is not. Honestly, while this is a romance comic, I didn't especially care for the main couple - they're decent, don't get me wrong - but rather the development of the central protagonist, Haruki, on his own, which was handled excellently. I do think the comic wrapped up in a fairly unsatisfying way. Akira's storyline is mishandled, as are the romances outside the main couple, which come out of nowhere, lack chemistry and development, and torpedo far more interesting relationships that were built up.
English version ⬇️ It's been an adventure, this webtoon is one of the best I've ever read. His art, his story, his characters are beautiful. It took me a while to read the end, because I couldn't let go of this wonderful story. I'm not giving it 5 stars objectively because the ending was a bit rushed for me, I would have liked to see a little more after the redemption arc, but the epilogue calmed me down a bit. It only remains to say: ✨ make the wind yours ✨
let's cast off took me on an emotional journey that spanned, for me at least, about a year. this was a heartfelt story about love, loss, grief, overcoming fear, family, and above all else, a passion for sailing.
this is one of those webcomics that keeps you invested from start to finish. all in all, i can't recommend let's cast off enough!!
LETS CAST OFF is definitely one of my favorite Webtoons on Webtoon Canvas; the storyline is really interesting, and that along with the amazing storytelling and art really gives this webcomic a high quality rating. I was actually able to finish this webcomic in one sitting, and I was hooked by the first two episodes. Definitely recommend this webtoon!
Cute little story, can’t wait for the second book to come out. The art is beautiful but some characters just don’t seem to have been well thought of since some of them didn’t really have a background story in the first book, I hope that changes in the second one. This book made me laugh, blush, feel second hand embarrassment and so much more.
Hoping the author will soon print a paperback version. It was such a good webtoon that after almost 4 years, I can truly say I was never bored. The characters and story is top notch and I've reread it MULTIPLE times throughout it's production.
This was one of my favorite webcomics for a long time. However, I didn't like it as much towards the end. I'm not sure if that's because the story actually got worse, or if I just grew out of it. Either way, I somehow managed to stick with this comic for nearly 4 years.
This manga is an example of how great Instagram can be. Instagram showed me this manga in a post because volume 5 is coming out soon and I checked to see if it was available as an e-book. So it was available :-)
First volume and I'm shockingly in love. Haruki and Takeshi's story really got to me and you can see how they both deal with it. While Takeshi continues to sail, Haruki has really suffered a very strong trauma. I feel for him and I'm so sorry that he has such a fear of water and you really want him to get rid of it.
I still love the relationship between the brothers and how Takeshi is really there as a big brother to protect him. Even though I think it's a bit superficial, but I think it's his routine. So I was all the more happy when Kaito showed up. Haruki fits him so well and he fits Haruki and I immediately thought please sail together. I want to see them sailing together.
I definitely want to read volume 2 and see how the story develops. I want to know more about the other characters and I'm so excited to see if it's going to happen because I imagine something must have happened between Kato and Takeshi too.
I absolutely love this story. The story itself is captivating, the characters are so real and loveable (or sometimes not) and the artistry is gorgeous. I would love to see this out in print and also animated as a series. Both would work so well.
