As a professional counselor and survivor myself, this is a must own, must read book! Those who know me know I HATE reading but this book is an exception. I purchased the ebook while waiting to own a copy signed by the author. Erika reminds you that you're not alone...

This is a different type of yearly devotional than I am used to, but the topic intrigued me, so I dove right in. It's set up to read by each day of the year without letting you know the subject matter that you're going to cover. I think this is a toss up, depending on where you are in your journey. It takes things one day at a time. January, for instance, is all about getting away from the narcissist and how to reach out and/or search for real ways to help you immediately. February is almost like a check in point, now that you're away from this toxic person, here's how to deal with the fallout, including whether or not your emotions are real and/or valid. March helps you start putting one foot forward in your growing process, and it just continues like that through the rest of the book. So much information delivered in short and sweet bites that one can process in a manageable way. Very well done!

finished on NYE but wanted to add it to make my reading challenge start with a bang. This is a tiny devotional book that gives you insight and healing to those who have dealt with narcissists in their life. I had/have parents who are this way but thankfully/sort of they weren't in my life. I wanted them in my life but they didn't want me but I interacted with them enough to feel what it's like. But it's not only narcissists that this daily reader will help with, but just general positivity that you can dip into and take with you throughout your day. Very short with a little affirmation at the end.

A Necessary Guide for those Supporting the Survivors of Abuse
Brave Love 365, by Erika Nelson is an invaluable guide for supporting, understanding and walking alongside someone that has been affected by narcissism. . Purchasing the book for myself and giving it to others gives us a common language so I can understand them more quickly and they do not have to spend as much energy explaining hurtful and confusing situations. I have also benefited from the book as an insightful tool allowing me to recognize potential warning signs in relationships so I can establish necessary boundaries sooner.
