The Shadowalkers fight back against Hope’s new Regency and establish a new unified center of power. But Berinia’s fragile peace is tenuous. Ryker and Haven’s quest for a new life together is hindered by legends that have come to life, and no one is who they seem.

Haven and Ryker are committed to building a life together, but scars from their separation run deep. The choices made in the past, if left unresolved, threaten to haunt their future. Their friends and family stand beside them and support their healing process, but an intriguing new acquaintance asks the impossible, a quest that may risk the new, fragile life they are desperate to build.

Ash has broken his curse but soon discovers it wasn’t a cure. He struggles to control the demon that still lives in him, as well as those who are determined to keep him in a life he no longer wants. An unlikely friendship shows him a new path, one that asks him to be a person he abandoned a century ago. But his long-time destructive entanglement with Lilith pulls him back to a life of violence and hate that seduces a long-buried resentment he must confront before he can alter his future.

Hope and her supporters are not satisfied with seizing the crown. Her new Regency is the tip of the arrow, a plan that is centuries in the making. They seek a legend, a myth that if found and liberated would unleash an evil bent on destroying everything Haven and Ryker hold dear.

Arc Review Below!

Five stars because 0% chance that this book can be bad. Will it tear my heart out? Most likely. Anyway for those traversing this page STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND READ THIS SERIES.

That ending! Cliffhangers should be illegal lol. As always, I really enjoyed seeing all the characters. This book focuses on the recovery of the events from the last book which were...shocking.

Surprisingly, I looked forward more to River and Roque's chapters than to other characters. (This is my chance to ask once again that Lilith have a very slow painful death). The character arcs are 100% my favorite part of this series. The book jumps in time a lot which allows characters to change and grow.

I do think that this book was the toughest for me to get through. I wish the action in the end was spread across more time, as it was hard to keep up with every plot thread to have it all explode in the last couple percent of the book.

Looking forward to the craziness of book 4!

I don’t even know where to begin! This book maybe my favorite in this series. Also if you are reading this and have not read the other two books stop what you are doing and either buy them on Amazon or download on Kindle Unlimited. You will thank me later. I did not want this book to end! I dreamed about this book every night I went to sleep. There are so many emotions and darn I say I am starting to love River. The way this author lays things out is beautiful. Detailed descriptions that take you away from reality and gets you lost into the words. When I read I was in the world with Ryker and Haven. I was feeling everything they were feeling. Seriously best series ever!

I received this book as an ARC,

The series continues with Haven and Ryker finding their way back to each other. Lilith and Hope plotting as always. But River was absolutely the star of this book I still can’t figure out how I feel about his character. There were so many questions answered and discoveries made it felt like everything the first two books had built up to.

I am always so impressed by the intricacies that go into these complex stories with so many parts working separately. My favorite part is when the characters start to unravel it and there was a lot of that happening in this book. There was also a lot of heartbreak and loss and I’m definitely raging at Georgia for one in particular…

It was killing me every time I had to put this book down (adult responsibilities are the worst) I was thoroughly invested as there was so much happening and when things slowed down we got some well deserved sweet moments between several couples that had me smiling.

Overall this was by far my favorite book in this series, the first one peaked my interest, the second one stressed me out so much (though I enjoyed it as well), this one was perfect!

Georgia is the queen of fantasy world building. I'd love to see how she maps everything out and inter weaves everything. It took me a little bit to catch up with some new characters and extensive political games. Really intrigued by River's character arc, and hating Lilith more than ever. Looking forward to book 4.

OH MY GODS. I can’t explain how much I LOVE this series. It took me longer to read than I would have liked because, well, life happened, but I did it and I’m so glad I got to finish it before my work week gets hectic again.
BUT 10/10 this series puts you through the anxiety ringer.
Ryker is officially a shadow daddy/badass demon slayer.
Haven- quick learner and so happy for her to finally learn the love she deserves.
Betrayals left and right, everyone has their own agenda, and I appreciate Georgia’s writing with the amounts of details with each and every character, place, and situation we come across!
Everything that’s happened in the last 70 pages of the book had my heart pumping and I couldn’t put it down!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plot
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Characters
10/10 story telling
3/5🌶️ (I’m a dark romance girly, so this light for me)

Very well written, and made a true fan out of me!

Book 3 in the Shadow and Light Series.

Not for the first time in this series, have I been on a bruising, emotional rollercoaster.

The story picks up after the cliffhanger of Light Lost, as our heroes regroup and our villians try to consolidate their positions.

Once again, we are treated to the intricate relationships of our characters as well as the introduction of new characters and relationships as they attempt to navigate the current circumstances.

Love, heartbreak, adventure, magic, and betrayal with twists and turns hard enough to give you whiplash. This book was long awaited and didn't disappoint.

Truly amazing storytelling, character building, and development from a very talented author. I genuinely can't wait until the next instalment to find out what lies in wait for our heroes and villains.

*I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

I loved this book just as much as the previous ones! There was definitely a lot of detail and world-building in this book for the continuation of the story. I liked that the story continued to develop into a larger subplot as well and found myself trying to decide if I like the villains or not!

I really can’t say that I liked this book. I loved it! The author takes you on an emotional ride. The story has moments of joy, heartbreak and disbelief. Her world building and ability to transport you is amazing.

Her characters are multilayered and well fleshed out. They all have good and bad qualities. You can find something to love about them all. All except Lilith! I hate Lilith! Arg!

Read the whole series. You won’t be disappointed.

Three books so thats three times my heart has been battered and my face has been like what the actual f.
This series is fast becoming one of those series that makes me wish I never started because I have to wait before reading the next book but also thank God I did start it otherwise I'd be missing out.
I will say the author does love to build the scenes when first starting each book but that is needed to set the tone for the world and characters.

WOW. what an ending. I found the first part a bit slow to get through although necessary but the author makes up for it at the end. I loved this book just as much as the first two.
I can’t believe I have. To wait almost twelve months for the next book. I am going to miss the character’s especially the main few.
Although this book is about angels and demons mostly the author has made them each relatable making it easier to emphasise with them all even the darker characters.
Thank you for the opportunity to be an arc reader for this great series
Bring on book four.

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again, this is my favorite Romantasy series I’ve read.
I received an early copy to read & review. So let’s get into my honest review,
Georgia remains Consistent. The fantasy element has been building since book 1, the world building has been amazing. With this book, I did find the middle part a little slow, but I understand the need for it. Ryker & Haven learning to love each other again.

This book really got me after part 4, the buildup for this war. All of the losses, and destruction. One word, River. UGH!!!
I reread part 4, a few times.

ALSO ANOTHER CLIFF HANGERRRR

Give this series a read, you will not regret it!!

Oh my gosh…..I was not prepared for this book. Miss Georgia, this book has left me SPEECHLESS!!

It was so freakin good! First of all - PLEASE READ BOOKS 1 & 2! This series is a top favorite for me. This whole series has been so good - the plot is so engaging I almost forget I am reading and just breezed right through it. I did not want this story to end. I am so in love with Ryker and Haven’s relationship. They are so perfect for each other. And dare I say this - but I am starting to have a soft spot in my heart for River. Yes, I said it - RIVER!!! Oh and the ending - I was stunned - Just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse it went and got waaaaaaay worse! I am heart broken. And now I’ll have to wait for the next book. I dont know what I’m going to do with myself now.

This series has me in a chokehold. The fantasy and betrayals will have readers begging for more. Haven and Ryker are back and trying to get back on track. They are both a little off kilter after being away from each other for eighty years and still not able to really spend time with each other. Hope has taken over and is leading with River and Lilith. A recipe for disaster. They all have personal agendas that will cause problems for the rest of the world.

Because Ryker and Haven are fated mates. They now gain strength from one another. Ryker is basically the only Shadowalker now and taking on all the demons by himself. It is taking a toll. River is trying his best to make some changes but the old River seems to make an appearance at the most inopportune times. Will the faction trying to tear the rift and let demons in succeed? Rhion is ready to rise and defeat all standing in his way. There are a lot of new people and some old ones that readers thought were gone for good. This book will keep readers interested and vested. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in this series. Ms. Georgia knows how to keep readers on the edge. The action and excitement will have readers on the edge of their seats.

Well, here we go again! Georgia is the queen of cliffhangers 🤣 holy crap. i'm blown away. I was on an emotional roller coaster from the beginning.

I enjoyed learning the back story of Roque and where he came from, I hate Lilith even more and River is starting to grow on me.

This book was phenomenal. There was adventure, heartbreak, love, magic, romance, world building and character building.

I'm very happy that this isn't the end because I desperately need more!

Georgia not only pulls at your heart strings, she rips them out, stomps on them, sets them on fire and then oh so perfectly weaves them back together, stronger than they were before. The world is now in chaos, can our heroes right Lilliths wrongs? We will have to wait and see. I am truly at a loss for words when it comes to this ending. This book was a rollercoaster, but the best most gut wrenching one I’ve ever been on. Do yourself a favor and read it! Read them all, you will not be disappointed.

I’m shook!!

Started off a little overwhelmed so much info, which did help tie things together finally. Continued intrigue, romance, some spice too. Action packed, never a dull moment! You have me all up in my feelers for a villain…a freakin bad guy!! What the heck!! And I really didn’t think it was possible to despise Lilliath any more than I already did but here I am with a newfound hate for her!! lol. Love the romantically pairings in the one!!

And yet another massive cliffhanger!! Ahhhhhhhh!!! I need book 4!!

Thank you to the author for an early review copy of this book! This review is my honest feedback and given voluntarily.

Well, Ms. Georgia has gone and done it again...written another fantastic volume to this fantasy series that just kept me on my toes and the edge of my seat the whole time, not to mention shedding tears along the way. I could not put this chonker down! We continue to get deeper into this world, characters, and overarching plot, and to say I was enthralled would be putting it mildly. Leigh has gone back to the roots of Light in the Shadows, with bringing back the definitive high fantasy nature of this series, while mixing in the romantic and mystery subplots that will have you eagerly turning the pages for more! We get new characters, new details, and new angles to existing characters that just make things so much more complex and interesting. This book really had me questioning my previous opinions of some characters! The incorporation of the past/prophecies was also so fascinating in the second half, and really opened up my interest even more into the future of this series/story. The vastness of this world and overarching plot has been weaving its way through things for what feels like a lot longer than this story has been going on, and that’s on full display in the second half! If I thought this series was great before, I'm even more convinced of it's deserved spot in high fantasy greatness now! Truly a must-read and I can't wait for more!

Now let's get into a little more of the nitty gritty! **From here on, there will be slight spoilers for books 1 and 2 of the series, so proceed with caution. You have been warned!**

**Pause for those considering how to proceed, LOL**

As I said above, a big thing I noticed, and really enjoyed about SR is that we really are returning to a true high fantasy with romantic subplot type of story. With LITS (book 1), we are getting introduced to the world and all the characters and plots going on. Light Lost (book 2) is more of Haven and Ryker’s story, centered around their trial, romance, and getting back to one another, with a lot of the larger world/plot stuff more so in the background. With this 3rd installment, we are getting back to that original foundation of fantasy from book 1, with more world-building and character POVs and less focus on Haven and Ryker. It goes back to the more romantic fantasy format of LITS instead of the fantasy romance format of Light Lost. The fact that this has been accomplished within this series is really cool to me and I also think it’s something that should attract readers who enjoy both subsets of the fantasy genre.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this series really reminds me of GOT in the best ways: you’ve got all these different plot lines happening simultaneously within this vast network of world/people that are all connected in some way to the larger overarching plot. It’s all so extensive. Things are really starting to converge in this book and it’s getting intense! With that being said, all of it can get a little confusing to keep organized in your head, so I’m so glad Leigh put together a nice collection of references in book 2 that she subsequently added to for book 3. It just makes the maintenance of the world referencing so much easier for readers like myself who like to flip back and forth (and who also forget stuff between releases!).

In that same vein, I once again am impressed with the quality AND the quantity of the world-building/creation Leigh has managed to accomplish within this book. Her writing style is so pleasantly easy to understand and consume, yet conveys complex concepts with ease. The reader isn’t bogged down by unnecessary fluff/prose, but the writing doesn’t feel YA at the same time. It always feels like I’m reading a truly adult high fantasy that doesn’t shy away from hard concepts, situations, or character personalities.

As if we didn’t already have enough people to keep up with (LOL), we get even more additions to the roster in this book. But these new people were incorporated into existing character groupings and plot lines seamlessly. They only enhanced an already great cast of characters. Speaking of which, I love that we’re able to see the characters have moments of rest, relaxation, and fun with each other in this book. So often fantasy characters are caught up in nonstop, active plot, fighting, and drama and it can get exhausting. It’s nice when our babies can just enjoy one another and develop those connections and bonds organically on-page.

A little bit of character analysis/thoughts:
Haven/Ryker: Their relationship has definitely matured more in this book and they’ve transitioned nicely into a solid and steadfast couple/team (even though there’s still a little bit of lingering stuff). They’re ability to work through their issues together demonstrated maturity and emotional intelligence and was a nice example of healthy communication in a relationship. Oh and that spice be spicing, it was just classically beautiful between them. I just love them so much *gushing*. I really enjoyed seeing Haven be on the upper end of the warrior ladder in this one. I’m so proud of the person/seraphim she’s become. She’s come such a long way since book 1. Ryker’s struggle with how to handle River was so palpable here. Anyone who’s ever had a close friend or family member who they’ve really battled internally to find a permanent spot in their lives will understand his struggle in this book. My heart is forever breaking for Ryker, I swear! LOL

Niko: I’m so glad he takes the position he does in Haven’s life here. I think they had a great connection and made a great team. I’m glad she had him as a comfort, aside from Ryker. I also found him and Haven’s dynamic funny as ALL GET OUT (you’ll know what I mean *wink*).

Silas: I was really excited to see our sexy Warrior get a love interest in this one! His struggle to justify seeking out his own happiness made me sad for him though. He also made some extreme decisions that left me in tears and hanging on by a thread!

River: Dare I say half this book was the River show? I’m not mad at it, though! He definitely got just as much, if not more screen time than Haven/Ryker, I’d say. But boy does he have the development arc in this one! Not me out here feeling sorry for River and wanting him to feel love and have a love for himself?! Excuse me, what?? I’m sorry, but that’s writing gold when you can take a character like River and turn him around like that. Chef’s kiss. He’s been so taken advantage of between Light Lost and this book, my heart breaks for him. I’m so glad he’s trying to distance himself from Lilith though. Ugh, she is a curse…see below. LOL!

Lilith: This woman is a straight-up snake and I can’t stand her, haven’t been able to since the very beginning, UGH! She’s a monster. She’s that b*tch-@ss villain who’s going to last till the end, I just know it. Oh and I hate how she straight up just violates River, gross. But again, kudos to the writing of her character for creating such a hate-worthy person, LOL. Lilith has also been heavily taken advantage of (I really hate to admit that), but her and River have handled their struggle in this book completely opposite of each other! I actually liked the opposing natures of this dynamic and it’s kind of ironic that they keep gravitating to one another (well she can’t take a freaking hint). The ending of this one just straight up ripped me open with anger and frustration and solidified why I hate this woman. LOL.

Roche: They’re character is so fascinating to me! I was very much relieved to see them having a transition of character/arc in this book. I also found it interesting that they and River started working together in a different capacity. I’m eager to see what kind of new role they play in the grand scheme of things moving forward.

I do wish we could have had more of the Aiden/Corde trauma work-thru on page, specifically Corde’s, as Ryker's was done so well in Light Lost and even River’s being addressed here in SR. For Corde being a sympath, I would have liked to have seen his recovery a little more. Aiden's was shown just a little, but not to the level of much resolution. Maybe we will see more in the subsequent installment. There was not very much Aiden/Trinity storyline either, which I was a little surprised about considering how much they were introduced in book 2. But what little is seen felt very traumatic. His portion of the story seems to be getting swept under the rug a little. This might be intentional or it could be due to lack of time/space in the book. Trinity’s really getting worked with him though, so I hope it gets addressed later.

Finally, I was devastated at some losses in this one and definitely shed some tears. Not gonna give anything else away.

So of course I’m continuing to recommend this series whole-heartedly, and Shadow Rising just makes it even easier to do so. I think the series truly has something for all fantasy readers: high fantasy elements, action, mystery, romance, and strong character development. I hope you take a chance on it, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Happy reading! 🤙🏼💕

Shadow Rising is the third book in the Shadows and Light series by Georgia C. Leigh. This is not a standalone book, and you must read books 1 and 2 to really enjoy this series. This is by far my favorite new fantasy series, and for those of you that love high fantasy, this is a must read!

Light Lost ended on a cliffhanger, and Shadow rising picks up right where we left off after a major cliffhanger and many revelations. Haven and Ryker are separated again, but luckily we don't have to wait too long to see them back together.

Haven and Ryker move forward, but the 80 year separation weighs heavily on them. They are both shrouded with so many emotions - guilt, anger, jealousy, love, betrayal. The first part of this book is their story of slowly finding their way back together while dealing with the new regime. Their story is messy and complicated, and I really appreciate that the author doesn't just glaze over their reunion and move on. We get to feel everything from this couple, and it is sometimes just emotionally overwhelming. I just want them to have a happily ever after.

This high fantasy book is steeped in intricate worlds and so many different characters, that at times it can be hard to keep them all straight. I love that the author gave us a Glossary of her world, and I did refer to it often while reading and felt it helped so much to keep everything straight. I love this work that Georgia has built for us. It is truly a beautiful world to get immersed in.

As the book progresses, we see many of the villains from the first 2 books, start to morph into so much more than just the enemy. Why do I find myself routing for these characters that wronged us so much in the beginning? I wanted to hate them, but the author just won't let me. Now I need redemption for them all.

This book (and series) is a roller coaster of emotions for me. The last 100 pages hast left me reeling with anxiety, shock, and feeling a profound sense of loss. The author has completely gutted me by the end of this book, which of course, doesn't end with everything wrapped up in a nice little package. I feel like I went through the ringer and will definitely need to reread part 4 a few more times, because apparently I love the torture. All I can say in, I am unwell and need book 4 STAT!

Finally, they are together!! After everything Haven and Ryker have been through, they are finally together!!! This is book 3 of the series, you have to read 1 & 2 in order to read 3 as it is an ongoing story line with this book also leaving on an amazing cliff hanger just like all the previous books have. I can't wait for book 4 so that I can find out what happens next.

When it comes to political intrigue Georgia is one of my top 3 favorite writers for this trope/genre. I don't know how she keeps all the different schemes between all the characters straight with some characters being backstabbers and having multiple schemes. I will say there are a lot of moving parts in her books so it can be a little overwhelming (I did have to take breaks at times just to allow my brain to absorb everything) all the different pov's and different schemes you have read about and try to track. But the payoff when one of these schemes are in the works with some failing but some succeeding for both the good guys and bad guys is so worth it!

It's a roller coaster all throughout the book, but not just for the political intrigue but also for the characters as well and their development as individuals but also within their relationships as friends/lovers. In this book after everything Haven and Ryker have been through with book 1 being a slow burn for them to realize their feelings for one another and book 2 of them going through the trials and memory loss now is the first time they can truly be together but they have their issues that they need to work through because of the traumas they have experienced when they couldn't be together, especially Ryker. What is also interesting is that Rider who has been an a$$ in previous books and who was a villain is starting to try and be better and you start to root for him, but it just seems like the universe hates him and wants to make him suffer especially when it comes to Lilith who I didn't think I could hate more but I do after reading this book.

Along with her being so great at world building and political intrigue she is also amazing with the cliff hangers, and I need to know what happens next!!! I can't wait to read the next book!!! I need it now!!!

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Shadow Rising by Georgia C Leigh is book three in the Shadows and Light Series. To say I was eagerly awaiting this book would be an understatement. I’m not only a huge fan of the author but this series as a whole. Everything about this world that Georgia C Leigh has created is fabulous. I will give you fair warning that the book is long and you will lose time when you are reading it. I personally lost hours because I could not put my kindle down… it definitely gave me the one more chapter syndrome. I honestly loved this whole book start to finish but I will give you a warning that it’s not a standalone, you must read all the books in order. I also think that this book may be my personal favorite. ( so far because I say that each time the author releases a new book) This story once again has taken me on an emotional rollercoaster… and the times I gripped my kindle and sat on the edge of my seat were great. This story has everything from betrayal, to love, heartbreak, magic and adventure. But the twists and turns that were woven into the book were just masterful. One of the things I love about the book is how this world just continues to grow and expand with both the characters I know/love and the ones newly introduced. (Haven and Ryker are still my faves though) This is just an exceptionally great tale that I can get lost in… it’s written beautifully and the descriptions from the people to the world are so well done it’s easy to imagine yourself within the pages. Another of my favorite things about this book is how well the emotions of the book are written… you can feel them in every word that is written. I can’t wait for the next book to continue this amazing tale. Georgia C Leigh is a phenomenal author as is this series, I can’t begin to express how much I recommend this series.

Final review:
5 out of 5 stars

How do you Explain so much in a review without giving away spoilers. I will do my best to sum it up in a way that I can only hope to entice one's interest enough to dive into book 1 just to get here to book 3.

Each book in the series of Shadows and light has been a Roller Coaster of emotional events I do not understand how such a suspenseful series can be so packed full it gets your emotions in an uproar. With Book 1, Had me hooked Book 2 had me on edge I had to walk away several times while reading it~ now book 3 it just got to me, get your boxes of tissues and punching bags out because you are in for a bumpy ride.

Georgia has put so much time and devotion into her series that you can tell with each word that it was well thought of and made sure each book, each event that occurred flowed to the next effortlessly to make the reader feel like they were there watching/living it. This should be turned into a movie for all that it has to offer.

Finally, Ryker and Haven are finally back together after finding out they are fated to being separated for 80 years to prove their Love. Read Book 2 for that Love story being unfolded but it has been long awaited and finally here now they are together again. Who doesn't love a love story with some drama right? So much to pack into this that it makes you want to cry the way it unfolded with the plot twists and turns it makes you want a Stiff drink while you read it. They can never catch a break even together. This book sucks you in, chews you up and spits you back out and it ends with wanting more in a good way.

I understand books need a villain but omg. I loathe Lilith

I know I am super vague but let me tell you, my review is about how I felt on this read and if you want to know about this book Read it but Start with Book 1, Light in the Shadows.

The continuation of Georgia C. Leigh’s Shadows and Light series is here with the release of Shadow Rising (Book 3). And my how this book did not disappoint in the slightest. If anything it left me so much more excited for the story to continue.

As a tandem reader of the audiobooks and eBooks of the first two books in the series, it was weird not having the vocal stylings of Shelley Reece accompanying Leigh’s words. But regardless, each character was still brought to so much life. Leigh’s world with Haven and her comrades continues to grow and expand with the addition of some new characters and some old.

Leigh’s choice to write this series in the third person allows for much freedom to see the world from almost every character’s point-of-view. That being said, the deep dive into antagonists is something we started seeing more of in Light Lost and it continues on in Shadow Rising . Our antagonists’ are seen as characters with motifs and passion. For any reader in their villain era would find this book right up their alley.

Ryker and Haven’s crew takes readers on a wild ride. I wish I had this book series in 2020 when I was starting my long-distance relationship. I would’ve definitely learned a thing or two from Haven and Ryker and even Trinity and Silas.

Pick up Book 3 and continue on this emotional roller coaster that is Shadow Rising . And if you have not read Light in the Shadows (Book 1) and Light Lost (Book 2), I highly recommend a tandem read of the eBook or physical along with the audiobook! Strap in for an adventurous flight!

This series continues to grow and get better! Each character development is superb. The story has progressed. The story keeps its flow. As much is going on on this series and how many characters need their story told, I thought I would get lost, but she has a glossary!

I love that each side character got their own little story. Silas is finally finding love! Haven and Ryder were together, finally! They found the other pheniox! Trinity is trying to help Ayden, poor guy. River finally found love, and Lillith (whom I hate!) is keeping him trapped for her her own sick and twisted games. She is the worst! You learn more about River's past and understand where he is coming from. My poor baby 😭!

You even get the villians backstories. Rogue is another character I love because he has been trying to figure out how to save his people and found a diplomatic way to do it. He really redemped himself with Harper. He has a little brother, Jace, who is beyond saving at this point. He seems to like Lillith (barf). Rhion is the one who wants to take over the planet. He says it's to save his people, but their is so much more to that story.

It has a few gut punches that had me bawling my eyes out! I still can't wrap my head around! Anyways, pick this series up! It's a really good story!

This series is completely engaging and fast-paced. You will feel strong dislike did some characters and fall in love with others. Some I hated in the previous books I came to adore in this book.

Now that Haven and Ryker have found their way back to each other, I really wanted them to catch a break in this book. Of course, that’s apparently not Georgia Leigh’s way of writing. The devastation waiting for them in the next book is going to hurt. They had their moments in this one though, however brief until they moved to the next catastrophe. And I know we all wanted to see the knock down fight between Haven and Jenna where Haven wipes the floor with her, but the author chose the higher road on that one. Dang.

With the broken bonds because of betrayal within Ryker’s triad, the chaos in Ancherin resulting in demons flooding in and River now having to find his way back - again, the next book has a lot in store.

Whatever you think is going to happen… you’re wrong. At no point during this book did I predict what was going to happen!

A huge part that I took away from Shadow Rising is: Haven’s character development and depth has so much layering to it. I didn’t expect the trial for her to be so life changing, since seraphim live seriously long lives. However, because it happened to her so young, it was pivotal in her ‘upbringing’ if you will. And now that Haven has lived a human life I feel closer to her. (I love to feel like I’m living the story as I read it)

The plot twists are flabbergasting. I was riveted from beginning to end, and I’m so invested in this series now.
The series l honestly just keeps getting better and more detailed. It’s quite honestly a must-read, and I will be recommending this to everyone I know.

Stunning continuation of the Shadows and Light series!! I was absolutely engrossed in Ryker and Haven’s world while reading. Georgia does such a fantastic job of sucking you in to her stunningly crafted world and I could not stop thinking about this book when I wasn’t reading it.

I was taken on an absolute emotional roller coaster throughout this book. We picked up from the cliffhanger from book 2 and dove right in. River surprised me throughout this book, making me question how I feel about him with all the new information.

I am amazed at how Georgia crafts her stories, laying little breadcrumbs throughout, with so many moving parts, and then she magically weaves them all together leaving you gasping, heart beating fast at the revelations.

This is one of my favorite fantasy series and I can’t wait for book 4!!

I'm a huge fan of this series, and just when I think I have all the nuances and plotshadowing figured out, I'm knocked on my humble butt again. It's not often an author does that to me, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

The emotions between Haven and Rhyker are so good. I love that the healing process isn't glossed over, and you get a true sense of their bond repairing and growing to more.

River and Lilith... I want to hate them so much, but I can't. I find myself celebrating their successes even if short-lived. I am growing more fond of River in this book, and I love we are getting a glimpse into his villain arc origin.

The cliffhanger is just too much!!! I knew it was happening and still wasn't prepared!

Honestly ya’ll I have been obsessed with this series since day one. This book deserves all the hype that other popular books have, and is a must read for those who love fantasy.

Georgia is one of the only authors who does not destroy character development as her series continues - which is rare in books now days. The multi-POV adds a whole level to this series that just adds to the development of the characters and the world.

I have said this before and I will say it again: this series is for people who loved the Shadow Hunter series growing up.

Honestly, this series is such a hidden gem that just keeps getting better.
