I think this book is fantastic. It has an enemies to lovers trope,it’s a love triangle and it’s romance people!! I love this book so far and I think it’s perfect for the people who love a dark enemies to lovers romance. PS.i am on team Chase

The book is a rollercoaster of emotions. If you are a sm*t lover and read spicy books this one is for you. The story is beautiful written in a way that you can't predict what's coming on the next page. Insecure FMC with a tragic past. Touch her and you die MMC. The guy is obsessed from the beginning.
Overall the book is amazing it has a plot that keeps you engaged until climax. Its not a cliffhanger but still the climax leaves you with a void to ponder upon.

I had already seen a lot of reels and posts about this book before I started reading..... But I didn't know it would be this good I am proud of you ✨Iris✨
Can I get a man like Chase who's obsessed with Liya? And the fact that the trope was enemies to lovers but bro was obsessed with her anyway 😭
And wasn't Luca a bad boy? But Bro was the sweetest and kindest guy I fell in love with and then he committed suicide which broke me like literally broke me 😭😭 I am going to miss him forever.
Liya is so strong and I admire her so much for that she is funny beautiful sassy and emotional I feel like I relate to her in some way... And Chase was right she was indeed a beautiful perfection 🍓🍓
The ending made me a little bit sad cause Luca wasn't there 😭😭 but we have to move on somehow.

I kind of read the spoilers beforehand so I skipped few detailed gory and sad chapters because I was craving the enemies to lovers/forbidden spice and oh gosh those scenes were explosive !!!! 🔥
The plot is triggering, I always avoid books which includes suicide/rape but I knew the story so it kind of worked out for me. I am very fucking glad that I didnt skip this book. I still really wish it didnt have suicide, something else would have worked ?
Also, I hated the ending. Liya never got over Luka’s suicide ? like after 1 year of marriage and 1 kid or even after 5 years of marriage and 2 kids ? and why was the son named after her ex love who was also her husband’s bestiee .. naaaah not acceptable nope nada.
I am just going to ignore these flaws though.

He knows that she loves white roses and gifts her as well, even though her “other close friend” believed she likes red ones!!
He pretends to forget her birthday but gifts her white roses and a crystal strawberry neckalce!!
He observed and understood every fucking little detail about her!!
He kills and burns everyone who has caused her pain !!
He is always in control and fucks her like a demi god but he got on his knees for her when she commanded !!

This book was everything a person could ever want !
The plots , the character development & the spice omg !! Everything on POINT ‼️

I didn't really enjoy liyas character.
Even though I rooted for chase throughout the whole book I felt bad for Luka , I really did his death was also super sudden and it sucked I really wished he would have had a happy ending with someone who loves him truly.
Liya literally just played the boys and when what happend with Luka had happend chase was comforting her and by her side at all times. What sucked was that chase wanted to be loved. The ending also sucked I felt like part of liya will always be for Luka , she was literally mourning over the man after she married chase and had his children??
Miss girl pick a side either love chase and stop being such an annoying character or don't even marry him and carry his children literally.
Liya was one annoying character I didn't like her a lot , both Luka and chase had liked her , and she had broke both of their hearts.
She broke Lukas when he found out she was sleeping with chase. She broke chases when he knew she still had loved Luka , like bestie?? Be so fr rn.
Honestly Liya needs healing and just to stop whining like girl get over Luka or stop crying and being so yucky all the time

it had the spice, the plot, the tension, the chemistry, the vibes.
first of all- team chase always and forever.
he's so chase atlantic coded and i love him for it. he was giving zade in the last few chapters and i was here for it!! i need someone to call me strawberry 😭
next- luka. even though i liked the bad boy, he was so kind and thoughtful that it was impossible not to fall for him while reading. every thing he did and said was so incredibly sweet and beautiful. who wants to share half strawberries with me btw?
onto liya. she's an amazing fmc. she was realistic, and relatable. she's strong and deserves so much more. her character was expressed perfectly and i found a home in her.
chapter 37 made me bawl my eyes out (not giving any spoilers) and it just kept getting sadder but i loved the ending.
i'm glad that each one of them got their own happy ending! this book emotionally wrecked me and i enjoyed every second of it.

The book was stunning and enchanting all at the same time it carried grief it carried love and most importantly it carried deadly obsessions. I was will and forever be team Chase but Luka didn’t deserve dying. He was a sweetheart honestly speaking though at the end Liya should’ve devoted herself to Chase He’s here enjoy him but she was kind of more in love with what’s dead and gone Chase did everything for her but she only loved him halfheartly even the devil doesn’t deserve torture like that. Liya needed to realise that Chase is her present she’s too smitten by her past she’s not wrong to love luka but if you love Luka don’t ruin Chase overall expect from this part and this aspect of this book everything was cute adorable ❤️🩹🧿🫶🏻✨🥺

This book had me in a deep twist of emotions🥲. It gives you a perfect amount of love, lust, pity, sadness, joy, grief, and most importantly filling of a hollow feeling. With all the amazing twists and turns you experience in this book you will left with the excitement of what is to come next📈. The book is carefully written with so much kept in mind❤️. It is the perfect book for enemies to lovers trope❤️🔥. You can read this book for the most handsome Luka😭, beautiful inside out Liya🤍 and lastly for my personal favourite and the most hottest man in this planet Chase🫶🏻. The emotions you go through while reading is book is just so fulfilling🤌🏻.

I just didn’t expect luka’s death mid book and I don’t how I feel about that but I understand why the author would do that in the first place. Review ::
This book was honestly one of the best books I have read this year. Iris outdid herself in this book. And I am saying this after reading all her books. It was the strawberry on top of the strawberry cake (pun intended). It was hot, it was feisty and obviously an emotional Roller Coaster.
The love triangle and the dynamic between Liya, Chase and Luka was so thrilling to read about. They were all woven in an intricate yet fragile relationship. And a single thread woven wrong could make their years of experience crumble down into shambles.
And that is exactly what happens.
I knew from the first page that Chase and Liya were endgame. Their bickering. Their sexual tension. And their hate-care relationship was so good that I drank it all up like an addict.
Liya and Luka’s relation on the other hand was more respectful and sweet love.
And both the romance interests were top notch. We have the broken villian hero and a soft romantic hero. At some points in the story I literally wanted them to be a triad- (but that was obviously my personal choice)
The story plot was a storm you were not ready to be hit with. And the book is a must read. ✨✨
P.S
The only reason I have reduced half a star is because of the fate Luka meets. I would have wished for something better.
