I just finished my re-read of this and am just as blown away as I was the first time. I had forgotten so much of Landon and Robert's story. Both of these books have swept me away these last few days and I am sad it's over.

"I'll love you forever."

“It’s okay to chase feathers in the wind, son. But remember…It’s not enough to have the feathers. You must dare to fly.”

Forever is book two in the Always & Forever duet by Kindle Alexander. Most people may have read the first book in this duet, Always, years ago when it came out. My experience was intensified because I read them back to back. My emotions were on overload after finishing the first book. That made reading this book even more meaningful. I believe that for the rest of my life after reading this duet, my perception of love is forever changed. That there has never been a truer love than between first Avery and Kane, and in this book, Robert and Landon.

This book first begins I believe about nine months after Always ended. Robert Adams is in a bad place. Guilt has taken over his life. He feels at fault, that he should have done more. He has lost interest in his medical career. He got special permission to travel to Germany and work in a military hospital there while he tried to piece his life back together.

floating feathers gif - Google Search

For Robert, life has always been about science, about proven theories. Never about fate, or signs. But when things start to happen, he is forced to try to open his mind and allow himself to accept things he might not be able to explain. That is how he ended up in Germany, and how he found himself standing at the door of a patient named Landon. A man he felt drawn to in an unexplained way. A man who would change his life.

Landon Russo, an Air Force Tech Sergeant, might have done a really irresponsible thing that made him end up in this hospital room. But then Dr. Adams walked in and he knew no matter what he had to go through, it was worth it.

It took Landon and Robert awhile to figure things out. But just like Avery, Robert knew he had found his “one,” and he was not letting him go without a fight.

“Robert Adams was everything Landon had always wanted but never imagined he could have.”

Landon can’t help but feel like he and Robert come from completely opposite ways of life. That he could never fit into Robert’s world. That it’s only a matter of time until Robert figures this out. But he doesn’t have the will to walk away. Robert has no intention of ever giving Landon up. Landon brings him a peace he has never felt before. A completeness that he’s never been able to find.

This book is Landon and Robert’s journey. They are two men, equal in their intensity and ability to love, and in their need to succeed in life and to bring honor to their families. In each other, they found an epic love that most people only dream of.

There were a lot of memories shared in this book of Robert and his Dads from the first book. We see things we didn’t see before, shared moments between them that made Robert the man he is. I admit that some of this was hard for me because my emotions are still so raw from the first book. But at the same time, it helped me heal. We also find out that Landon has a special connection to them as well. Once again, we see that fate has a hand in things here.

I'll love you forever - Google Search

As I said before, this is an epic love story, as was Avery and Kane’s before them, that I will forever hold all future love stories up against. I will never forget any of these characters.

“Dare to fly.”

No hiding here. I am a Kindle Alexander FanGirl. Always was and always will be one of those very special unique stories not only about love but a life long love. How could they top the expectations of Always? To be honest, they can't. Always is Kane and Avery's story. This is Robert and Landon's. Just like a child compared to the parents, Forever deserves to stand on its own for the merit of storytelling.

And stand on its own it does.

It had been several years since I read Always. Could I pick up Forever to read after time? If I never read Always, could you skip to Forever? Yes on both accounts. The storytelling in Forever takes you on a journey of remembrance without bogging down or slowing the pace. I will admit, seeing through Robert's eyes his journey of grief touched on in Always had me bawling like a baby.

I know you should be shocked by my cold, black heart cracked - but it did.

I loved that readers were not only gifted with another epic life long love story, but a personal growth arc of both characters. But the love that Landon and Robert shared leaped off the pages in every paragraph and every page.

It's a brilliant, touching and perfect continuation for fans of book 1. You want to set aside time. Because you will not be available for housekeeping, cooking or conversation. The story is to be savored.

My recommendation is to buy. Revisit this story every time your heart yearns for something so loving and so perfectly forever.

I don't know what to say. I'm surely the odd one here cause everyone seems to love this. I didn't like this nearly as much as Avery & Kane's story. Their story broke me. I felt their connection so much. But Robert & Landon's connection not so much.
I couldn't see what Robert saw in Landon at all. His insecurity drove me up the wall. His keep saying he didn't feel that he fit in Robert's live all the time, his reluctance to accept anything from Robert. Yes, Robert was born with a golden spoon in his mouth, but he was a generous and kind man and never would let anyone feel inadequate. Landon annoyed me so much.

Robert said to him once;

"You know, you're a reverse snob"

And that's how it felt.
Robert went out of his way to make Landon happy.

The thing I liked very much though was the idea of the feathers. Robert's sign that his fathers watched over him.

I really want to forget this read real quick and finally start another book. This book was also very looooonnng!! It took me forever to finish.

Breathtaking and beautiful

ALWAYS will forever be my favourite book from the duo known as Kindle Alexander. However, FOREVER has just joined its predecessor. From beginning to end this story was beautiful and breathtaking. FOREVER begins roughly nine months after the ending of ALWAYS. It is the story of Robert Adams, the son of Avery and Kane Adams, and the emotional journey he takes after the deaths of his beloved fathers.

Blaming himself for the death of Kane, Robert heads to Germany after he receives a sign, which he believes comes from his father. There he meets Landon Russo, a man who is recovering from an embarrassing predicament, a man who will alter Robert's life, forever. The connection between the two men is instant and a friendship and bond forms that is more than soul deep.

Kindle Alexander takes their reader on such an emotional journey that reaches the very depths of their heart. This is raw emotion and love in its purest form. Together Robert and Landon find a love that is soulmate material. Even though they come from completely different backgrounds, they fit together perfectly, they compliment and balance each other. Like any other couple they do have issues, however they work through them in their own unique way. Their passion is hot and intense, and leads to many heated moments both in and out of the bedroom.

What I really loved was the way in which Kindle was able to weave Avery and Kane into Robert and Landon's story, it was sheer magic. With their signs and directions, Robert was able to work through decisions and move on feeling both his fathers love and encouragement. It is obvious that Robert, even though he is the very image of Avery, is heavily influenced by Kane, and catching up with Autumn, his sister, shows just how much she is like Avery. Seeing them together and with Landon, showed just how tight knit a family they are. Add in Kennedy "Nonnie", Robert's grandmother, and you have the perfect family. Nonnie, now in her nineties, is an absolute force of nature. Landon's family also brings in more love and happiness to the lives of both men. It was wonderful to see Paulie also mentioned, he played a large influence on Robert's early life and he still does.

FOREVER is a journey of acceptance, understanding, romance and passion. It is also one of love, a love that will remain Always and Forever. Breathtaking and beautiful ... Robert and Landon are everything.

ARC received for an honest review

Five years ago, I read a book that still haunts me to this day. That book was Always by Kindle Alexander. That book had me an emotional wreck from the prologue, and had tears in my eyes every time I thought about it for weeks afterwards.

I thought I was happy with where the story left us, however when I saw that this duo was giving us Robert Adams story (the son of Kane and Avery from Always), my heart jumped in my chest.

I never thought I needed his story, but I was wrong. So, so, wrong.

I did well with this story - I got to 13% before I bawled my eyes out this time!

KA takes us on an emotional journey, where split decisions in life bring Robert and Landon together. Their story is relatable, the hurdles they need to overcome are things that we could come across in our lives.

Our lovelies connecstion is soul deep, and as Robert remembers his daddy's words, I was again thrown into an emotional spiral, and had to put the kindle aside to grab the tissued). How, 5 years down the track, can that book still affect me?

If you don't absolutely fall in love with Nonnie, I maintain that you don't have a heart lol.

It is a day later, and I am still smiling as I write this review, thinking of Robert, Landon and Autmn and Nonnie. Big, goofy smiles.

If you haven't read Always, now is the time to jump to it and read it, then get right onto reading Forever. You won't be disappointed

A great follow up to Always.

Two men looking to find themselves, one caught up in grief the other recovering from a stupid accident. A beautiful story of how they find in each other what it is they both need to heal and grow.

A highly emotional story that will have you in tears, it will inspire, energize and keep you turning each page to find out what Landon & Robert's future will hold.

This is a beautiful journey and the amazing follow up to Always.
Dr. Robert Adams has grown up loved and has never wanted for the basics but now this cardiovascular surgeon finds himself questioning his path. A change of scenery is what he needs . This lands him at a military hospital and a meeting that will be life changing.
Landon is a Sergeant that finds himself a patient after a arm injury and about to meet the myth Dr. Robert Adams. He has heard the whispers of the staff especially the women about the beautiful, stoic, keep to himself physician. He also knows Robert as the man that stood beside his presidential father's casket while Landon stood guard. That was the beginning of their deep rooted connection.
It begins as a need for companionship with reading , sharing stories and comparing memories that leads to a heartwarming, romantic, sensual romance. They are both searching for something and the sudden cross of their paths may be just what they both need and thrive on! What a beautiful journey with these men!

5 Star Review of Forever (Always & Forever #2) by Kindle Alexander

I have come to expect that a Kindle Alexander book will draw a variety of emotions from me; Forever was no exception. The characters have a great deal of depth and I fell hard for Dr. Robert Adams and Tech Sergeant Landon Russo.

Forever was an emotional roller coaster of a read, at times bringing me to tears.

Both Robert and Landon are seeking something and believing that it may never be found. Their attraction to one another is intense and so scorchingly hot that it is almost overwhelming.

Both need to do some serious soul searching, if they are to follow their hearts. What will happen when their passion ignites? Will they take a leap of faith? Can they make their love work or are they destined to be torn apart?

There are so many layers to this story that it felt as though Kindle Alexander was peeling an onion, one layer at a time.

As with previous books that I have read from Kindle Alexander, Forever was exceptionally well written with strong, yet vulnerable characters who will soon find their way into your heart, I know they did mine.

ALWAYS has been a part of my life. That book change me on how I will love this genre so much. 5 years ago, ALWAYS broke my heart and fixed it back. I was one of the readers who was patiently for Robert's story..

and it did not disappoint me. I laugh, I cried, and I fell in love.

I totally recommend this book for you to read when you want your happy-ever-after.

13% of the book and I already had tears in my eyes. The book picks up just months after Always dropped off. Robert is so heartbroken from losing his fathers that he makes a life altering decision on a sign that he doesn't even think he believes in. Landon got himself in a really bad predicament that lead him to the best thing to ever happen to him. Again, Kindle Alexander takes us on a heartfelt journey between two men that share a soul deep connection that one could only wish to have. Each chapter is a snapshot in their love story. Beginning and during their relationship. Thankfully the author didn't force an ugly cry on her readers this time around. My post cry hangover thanks her for that. If you haven't read Always, DO IT NOW! Just make sure you have tissues near by. Then, of course, read this book. You will not regret a moment of it.

Perfect!

Always is one of my favorite books ever, so when I saw that the sequel was coming out I couldn’t wait to read it. In Forever we get Robert’s story. After losing his fathers and blaming himself had my heart breaking for this man. Looking for a sign he ends in a place where he meets the love of his life, Landon. These two men had me fighting for them and falling in love with them all the way through. My heart is happy now. I totally loved this book!

‘It’s not enough to have the feathers. You must dare to fly.’

While I, again, felt so sad about Always, I relish this read about Avery & Kane's son, gifted cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Robert Adams, world renowned heart surgeon and son of a United States vice president.
Besides drowning in grief, he is also guilt ridden about his responsibility in his beloved daddy’s sudden decline and ultimate death. Robert flees to Germany where he had been placed on limited duty at the Military Hospital.
It is where he meets Landon Russo, Tech Sergeant with the US Air Force.

The two forge an easy friendship and Robert finds himself opening up to Landon, especially when he learns that Landon is a great admirer of his father. So much so he had requested to stand guard over Vice President Avery Adams’s state funeral.
When they meet again back home in DC, Robert knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life making Landon smile in just that same way. All he had to do was convince Landon to let him try.

Forever is a spectacular and stunning story filled to the brim with emotions, feelings and a little bit of fate, because there had to be more to life than just the exactness of science.

Part of the Always & Forever Series that must be read in order:

The perfect sequel to Always!
Robert was lost. After the death of both of his dads, nothing made sense anymore. His career path is on hold. Once a world famous thoracic surgeon, he is now doubting everything. A trip to Getmany changes everything. Landon Russo, tall, dark, and devastatingly handsome is a patient recovering from a fall at the hospital Robert goes to try to find focus at.
A friendship develops and Robert uses his connections to insure Landon has the best rehabilitation care back in the US plus the use of his townhome. A month goes by and both are wondering wht the other hasn't reached out. Robert finally does and like his dad, Avery, he goes all in. He knows Landon is it for him. He just has to convince Landon. Landon is so overwhelmed by who Robert is, son of a vice president, he feels inadequate. Robert does everything to prove to him they are perfect together and works tirelessly to create a beautiful life for them. This book is the perfect sequel to Always!

I have to first say that KUDOS to Kindle for bringing us Robert's story. I fell in love with him in Always as he went through his loss and was trying to get over his loss but he was devastated. I have to say that this book blew my world away. I loved every moment of it and I know I will re-read this one a few more times. I just couldn't get enough.

This is a love story like no other. I want to tell you all about it but I won't because I don't want to ruin the reading experience you will get from reading it. Make sure you have your tissues because you will need them. Robert and Landon when they come together are amazing. As I was reading I felt like I was right there with them going through their ups and downs and indecision's. This is one of those stories you must read because it gives you all the feels and everything in between.

So go on and on click this bad boy and enjoy the emotional ride you are about to take!

I have waited for this book like "Forever" pun intended :) I enjoyed this book very much and loved Robert and Landon. It was also great to see Nonnie Kennedy and Autumn . The thing for me was that as much as I enjoyed this book , I LOVED the book "Always". Avery and Kane have remained in my heart since I read the book in 2016. I literally sobbed over that book and could not bring myself to re-read it because just thinking about it brought me to tears. In "Forever" had me crying at the mentioned of Robert's fathers. His heartache over their deaths had me feeling it too. I'm so glad he got to believe in soulmates just like his dad Avery believed. So happy he got to live a life as happy as his Dads did.

Don’t be afraid to read this book!!

First let me preface this review saying that I loved Always. I love Avery and Kane, their unconditional love, the soulmate aspect of the story and the true love and romance even though it was a heartbreaking end.

As for Forever, oh em gee!! I love Robert and Landon. I loved reading their connection, a true soulmate love and romance just like Avery and Kane. Even though at times I was a little weepy, it is not like what happened in Always. And I do believe Avery and Kane had a hand in the romance of these 2 men.

Loved catching up with Autumn and Nonnie and a few others. Kylie is such a sweetheart and the epilogue is so gratifying.

You need to read these 2 stories for yourself, these 4 men are deeply ingrained in my heart. ❤️❤️

This story follows the epic Always that was released in 2014, and features Kane and Avery’s son, Robert. I went in not knowing quite to expect as it had a lot to live up to. It’s a beautiful slow burn romance as we see the guarded Robert, ease off on the tight hold of grief he had for the loss of his fathers. In quite a spiritual and emotional telling, military man Landon enters Roberts life and sparks something in him that makes him want to change the course of his life. This was a sweet, unhurried and romantic sojourn with both men recognising that some things are meant to be. We have some great supporting characters here in matriarch, Kennedy Adams and Robert’s kickass sister, Autumn. If I could relate this book to a feeling it would be a welcome warm breeze on a Summer’s day and shows us that sometimes, you just have to trust in fate.

Hmm...

I loved the first book. It seemed pretty average in terms of storyline, but oh boy did it pack a punch in the emotional department. I waited for this sequel for awhile. Good thing I only read Always like a few months ago so it wasn’t too long of a wait.

That said, I suppose I had expected something similar with this book. While I would say it follows a similar format, I just didn’t feel an emotional connection to the characters like I did with Avery and Kane.

With every chapter, I got more disconnected until I eventually started skimming and then skipping whole chapters at a time 🙈

I’m sorry.. I wish I loved it more 😔

I was eagerly anticipating the story, I even had it on the TBR list, and I never make lists on GR.

Robert and Landon didn't convince me, (they were so damn sterile) I think I'll be the rare person to say that I didn't really like the story. To continue Avery and Kane's legacy (Always is still one of my best love stories), I definitely had high expectations, but got the story on a two-person chronological description system.
I wanted more, but I actually got nothing and I feel disappointed.

Let's start off by saying the more stories we read from this author, the more we fall in love with their works. This story was one awesome read as it was heartfelt, emotional, about healing, self acceptance, and finding your way when you have been floundering a bit in your life all the while trying to carve out a new destiny with your new-found soulmate.

I loved the story from beginning to end, as the story drew you right in and kept me glued to the pages to the very end. The story had amazing characters, we loved the sister the grandmother, and you could not help but fall for Landon and Robert as they were both so love-able.

We loved everything about Robert as he was smart, dashing, endearing, love-able, an incredible friend, and one to take chances and also one who was willing to follow the signs even when his brilliant mind says otherwise.

Landon we loved him for the fact he was perfect for Robert in every way. We loved how devoted to his job and the military that he was. Although we really loved Landon's character, we got tired of his constant insecurities and not realizing his own self-worth when clearly those around believed in him and did not see him the way he saw himself. We could understand the insecurities in his relationship when it came to Robert and who his family was and where he came from and the wealth his family had but, not the other stuff, and I was really sad that he didn't see all the wonderful things that were Landon.

Landon and Robert had amazing chemistry which lead to some really hot sexy romps in and out of the bedroom. We loved that they could be in a room, and you could feel their chemistry because it was scorching, and they just sizzled. I loved them together as they truly were perfect and meant for one another, and we loved the fact that Robert realized from the moment he met Landon deep down he already knew that this man was destined to be his soulmate and his future.

Overall, we just loved this story from beginning to end and everything in between. The story tugged on one's emotions. The story was filled with so much love, devotion, laughter, kindness, passion, patience and kindness and one that had characters that made you laugh and others sad. We have to give a shout-out to Robert's sister and Grandmother, as they both were a force to be reckoned with. If you believe in love, soulmates and destiny and signs, this story is just perfect for you.

Deep, loving, sexy, and a marvelous romance !
Book #2 Germany... working at the Military Hospital, we have Robert, a doctor, who recently lost his two Dads, both had been amazing men and one a Senator. We saw his parent's story in book #1, but each story can stand alone.

Robert is drowning himself in his work. Dr. Robert Adams, 6'2", thick blonde hair, meets a patient, Landon, dark hair and eyes, of Italian decent, is an Army Sergeant, who has a broken arm.

They bond over their talks, and Robert reading to Landon. Landon was a guard for Robert's father's funeral, but doesn't tell him that right away. This lovely progression in time, shows us the development of becoming friends to lovers, to forever.

Each man sorts out his thoughts, and Landon doesn't feel he is good enough for Robert. We see their love bloom, the perfection of their minds and souls fitting together. Plus the magnificent sexiness is fantastic and sizzling hot.

There are family meetings, and a melding of traditions and food. A family restaurant, some drama there, a military duty conflict, but our guys are have each other's back.
Robert has his epiphany, and Landon is by his side. They move into their combined lives, happy days and nights, and family life events.

Deeply emotional, heartfelt and fascinating. A beautiful M/M romance saga for the ages.
Highly recommended.
ENJOY !

As I sit here with tears streaming down my face, trying to find the words to express just how much I loved Robert and Landon’s romance, I am at a complete loss because I know whatever I come up with won’t be enough. Won’t be enough to describe this all-over feeling of happiness and joy bubbling up to the surface.

Romantic. Sexy. Beautiful. Sweet. Engrossing. Smart. Amazing. Stunning.

Perfect.

Forever is the story of Robert Adams’s rediscovery of joy and happiness. And that life does go on even after suffering through loss, grief, and guilt. It’s one of acceptance. Something he and Landon discover together after a chance meeting and through some divine intervention—and a meddling sister—they turn this discovery into long-lasting love. One that defies logic and is enduring regardless of time or distance.

Is it idealistic? Yep. And I couldn't care less—their world is one I would love to live in!

It’s no secret that Always is my gold standard MM romance. And now Forever sits right there next to it. Now, excuse me while I go find some more tissues. ~ Missy, 5 feathers

Good but not like the first book.

Obviously this book was more modern, as was the love story itself. Something about that kind of diminished it for me. What I loved about always was how pure and innocent the time and characters were. I liked both characters here but I felt more of a connection in the first story. I don't know guys I think I'm the problem here. I loved Avery and Kane so much it was going to be hard follow that story up for me. This book is good, do not let me discourage anyone especially those that have read Always.

Always was a beautiful love story that touched my heart and left a mark, staying with me for a long time. When I found out that we would get a continuation of Always as well as Robert’s story I was over the moon excited. I knew it would be another epic story. And just like Always, Forever now has a place in my heart.

I loved that along Robert and Landon’s journey we got pieces of Avery and Kane. It was like reliving their journey while getting a new journey with Robert and Landon. The feather’s were a beautiful tough and made the story so much more special.

This story was beautifully emotional written with lots of heart. Kindle Alexander has a way with words pulling you into a story and captivating you from beginning to end.

Forever is simply a beautiful, satisfying read. KANE & AVERY hold a special place in my heart. Always hold a special place and reading Robert was Nostalgic and Memorable. There are so many touching, living moments which reminds us of Kane & Avery's life. Forever beautifully amalgamates Kane & Avery, Robert & Landon lives.

Speaking of Landon & Robert chemistry and Love it's simply sweet, Hot and Electric. I Loved them. I've been waiting so long to read Forever and I am really happy after reading it.

I Cannot Recommend both books Enough. Leave every thing right now and Read Always & Forever.

I might stand alone in this but I did not care for this book, it was a battle to finish.

Robert and Landon professed to love each other but their relationship seemed incredibly unhealthy to me. Their problems would come up and almost to a one, the resolution seemed like the exact opposite of what would be the healthy way to proceed. For example, Landon struggled with feeling financial inadequacy because Robert had so much money and insisted on paying for everything for him. Rather than listening to Landon and respecting his boundary, taking turns paying or letting him buy his own damn sausage on a stick - Landon tantrums, Robert ignores it then says “I will keep doing this because I love you” and Landon emotes more insecurity and they have sex. Over and over. The ignoring of a boundary, the refusal to compromise, some tantrum then the sex. For years they did this as the stakes got higher.

The periphery story lines seemed over the top.

Ugh. Not for me.

If there ever was an author that I don't need to worry about loving her writing than that's Kindle Alexander for me. I was at 15% and was already so in love with Robert and Landon it was ridiculous.

This story has the heat and passion we're used to with Kindle Alexander's books but what sold this story for me was the connection these two men had. It was the need they had to do anything for each other. It was the lines they crossed together instead letting their insecurities tear them apart. It was the way the relationship was 50/50 at all time.

It was simply a great love story!!!
