Beckett Feldmore, the star forward of the NHL team the Cranes, is known for his athletic skills on the ice and his off-ice charm. When a knee injury jeopardizes his future in the sport, he finds himself drawn to the team’s beautiful new doctor. She’s not easily swayed by his cocky persona, and Beckett can’t help but be captivated by her, finding her indifference a challenge.
After a lifetime of struggle, Elena Cortez finally gets the life she’s worked so hard for. She landed a new job as the team doctor for the Cranes. She’s less than pleased that her first real task as the team doctor is a summer spent helping nurse the obnoxious man whore of the team back to health. She has little patience for beautiful men who bring nothing but heartache.
Elena receives devastating news that shatters her world and, with it, a fake marriage proposal from Beckett, who wants her to have the opportunity to make things right.
As their pretend relationship deepens, the lines between reality and fiction blur. Sparks fly, and their chemistry becomes undeniable, but it doesn’t change their vast differences and why they could never work.
Their relationship will end, as it was always meant to. The only question is—will they survive the loss?

Super super cute book! I loved these two characters and their story! It was an age gap marriage of convenience story and done very well! Can’t wait for the next one!
5⭐️ 2🌶️ I freaking loved this book!! Each book gets better than the last. Beckett is so swoon worthy 🫠 I immediately fell in love with his character. He’s so sweet and caring. My heart broke for Elena and everything she endured at the hands of those who were meant to love and protect her 🥺 Even with the struggles she faced Elena turned out to be an amazing person and achieved so much. The chemistry between Elena and Beckett was everything!! I couldn’t get enough of this book!! And that ending was so perfect!! Also I’m so excited for Gunners book!! This series is definitely a must read!!
Beckett, the charming hockey playboy, meets Elena, the no-nonsense team doc with a fake marriage clause in her inheritance—cue chaos, sparks, and so much cuteness. Watching these two navigate forced proximity, a fake relationship, and undeniable chemistry was like watching a rom-com on skates. Beckett’s character growth? Chef’s kiss. Elena’s guarded heart? No match for his charm.
This reverse age-gap hockey romance is light, witty, and full of swoony moments, with just the right mix of spice and sweetness. If you love fake marriages, enemies-to-lovers vibes, and a little on-ice drama, this book will have you grinning like a lovesick teenager.
I loved this book! Ellie Wade is killing it with the hockey romances! Elena and Beckett are so perfect for each other I just couldn’t stop reading. The story was fun and easy. Beckett is like every girls dream sweetie, so thoughtful, kind and full of love. I can’t wait to see who Is going to be next for the Crane series!
Beckett’s story is not what most people might think. However, when you think about Cade’s book and the insight and wisdom he bestows on his sister concerning how she has been looking at and treating their friend, and the man she said she had or is in love with. Granted Beckett was known as the biggest man whore out there, but he was never a troublemaker. First, because he was raised right. Second, because he has a sister, he is always upfront and asks the women exactly what they want. Beckett is a guy happy with life and truly gets a high making others happy, easier, or more comfortable.
This leads us right into his story where he gets injured in the last game to end their season early when a player on the other team tries to take him out of the game and end his career. Now he has given hard hits before its part of the game, but never career-ending hard hits. When he is taken by ambulance to the hospital he couldn’t hide the tears if he wanted to because of the pain in his knee, the fear of never playing again, and the massive headache he had. His mom had ridden with him helping to keep the panic at a minimum.
Luckily, when Dr. Hootie showed up he was accompanied by another doctor who it turns out will be taking over for him because he will be retiring. Hootie should have retired years ago none of the guys liked him they all went to the PTs for any help they needed. Anyway, Dr. Elena Cortez was there to give them the results of his MRI and how she will be proceeding with his recovery. Because he would be recovering with no surgery, with rest to begin with, then core exercise, and then knee strengthening.
During all this Beck tries to build a rapport with her because everyone on the Crane hockey team is like family. Not to mention since the moment he saw her he was wildly attracted to her. He figured she was older just didn't figure out how much until, her daughter Ari, twenty-one, shows up for a visit. That's where she finds out she’s forty years old to his twenty-seven years old. What was fascinating was that he never even gave her daughter a second look, other than being worried that she looked familiar, and could have slept with her.
Elena was self-made she had been thrown out on the streets once she found out she was pregnant. She refused to marry Ari’s father because he didn't love her and wanted nothing to do with the baby. But when a courier letter arrives during Beckett’s PT and sends Elena into a tailspin, it’s Beck to the rescue. The first words out of his mouth are, ‘Marry Me.’ The letter is from her father the one she hasn’t seen in twenty-two years. He’s dying, and the lawyers are letting her know that if she is not married by then the worst of the worst of her relatives would inherit all the family's millions. This is the reason for Beckett’s proposal.
See if Beck has what it takes to go the distance in his marriage. Or will it be Elena who makes a run for it as soon as she can? This was such a good story. It has a way of surprising you with its depth, and the overwhelming joy you get from reading it.
~ As we all Know Pucking Love ended with a tease cliffhanger giving us a clue on whose love story is next. This is where One Pucking Heart continues… Poor Beckett!!! Now Becket got injured during the competitions and was taken quickly to the hospital. This is where he and his hockey mates got the announcement of the new physician coming aboard to treat them since the other one is starting retirement early. Dr. Elena is her name, and she did her research on the team to make sure she accommodated each one. When Beckett got introduced to her let’s just say he felt like he was in the stars. Cheesy right? He needed to get this woman, little did he know that she is one hard cookie to crack! Elena is not your normal woman, she is an older lady who already has a child in college. So yes, this book here has a reverse age gap, we can say Cougar!!! All this will not stop Beckett from getting what he wants. He tries so hard and it’s so sweet, but Elena just pushes him away. She had a hard life to get to where she is now and then to find out her father is dying by sending her a letter to inform her that in order to get any of his fortune under her name she needs to be married. Beckett sees an opportunity and helps her out, but this turns out to be more in time. This story sure had me laughing only because Beckett is acting like a fool sometimes but like he said before he is so freaking sweet. Oh and let’s not forget the spicy scenes between them… Hot Hot!! I really enjoyed Beckett and Elena’s story a lot! Thank you again Ellie for this chance again on being part of the ARC team!
Embarking on Beckett's adventure gripped me right from the beginning! As the Cranes' star player, renowned for his charm and athletic prowess, Beckett confronts a career-threatening injury that brings him into the orbit of the team's new doctor, Elena Cortez. Despite Elena's initial resistance to Beckett's allure, their unexpected connection sets the scene for an enthralling narrative.
Elena, a resilient warrior shaped by a history of challenges, discovers herself responsible for Beckett's recovery. Against the backdrop of a faux marriage proposal from Beckett, prompted by devastating news for Elena, their relationship takes an intriguing turn, blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction.
The undeniable chemistry between Beckett and Elena enriches the storyline, prompting reflection on the viability of their connection, given their differences. As their simulated romance progresses, sparks fly, building anticipation among readers for the ultimate resolution.
The story skillfully intertwines moments of heartache, soaring emotions, and the conflict between fiction and reality. With its captivating premise and well-crafted characters, each page of this novel is a source of joy. Now, with a heartfelt plea for Gunnar's story, the excitement for the upcoming installment in this series is palpable.
Beckett and Elena were such a fun couple to read. These two are opposites at best who want very different things at each stage of their lives, but who could not be more perfect for each other.
Beckett gets injured during a game e at the worst possible time. Hootie, the team Dr, surprises everyone when he announces his retirement and replacement Elena. She oversees Becketts medical recovery, and he is smitten with her immediately. He pulls out at the charm, and nothing works on Elena until she receives some devastating news. Beckett, ever the fixer volunteers to marry her to fix her situation. He doesn't care that she is 13 years his senior or that she has a grown daughter.
Elena goes along with Becketts plans, but only until she has fulfilled her requirements. She has no plans on this marriage being real or physical. Jokes on her because Beckett never loses.
Another fantastic read by Ellie. This series is taking all of my favorite troupes and putting the Ellie Wade mark on them. They are full of love and warmth and beautifully broken people who find love at the right times.
Beckett’s turn to shine I loved Beckett’s character as the fun loving brother in Book One - One Pucking Love, so it’s only fitting that he gets his very own story and forever person. Being seen as the jokester and having had many women fall at his feet and into his bed regularly, Beckett is never taken seriously. Loved and respected by his family and friends Beckett shocks them when he announces his engagement and soon to be marriage to the new team Doctor. Being chivalrous Beckett steps in to save the beautiful doctor’s private life after she receives terrible news. This is a fake marriage, much older woman story where Beckett has to work hard to show Elena that their age difference doesn’t matter to him. Will Elena let Beckett into her heart or push him away? Can they build a life together? With loveable characters throughout this was a fun and at times serious story of the series.. The narrators Savannah Thomas and Christian Leatherman were perfect for the role of Beckett and Elena. Both the ebook and audiobook are excellent.
Wow! Ellie Wade chose the best narrators for this sexy, steamy hockey romance. I listened to this book while I was working and I found reasons to stay in my office so that I could listen to just a few more minutes. I love the voices of the narrators, the characters, and the story.
Fake marriage, age gap, single mom, and sports romance all in one book and it was done perfectly. Beckett and Elena have the heat turned up from the first meeting. Elena tried to fight it and Beckett refused to give up. Listening to these two circle each other and then have a fake marriage while trying to not fall in love was so fun. It was no secret, to anyone, that they were losing the battle and Elena had to find a way to let Beckett into her life…for good.
One Pucking Heart could have been a much longer story and that would have been okay with me. I would have loved more of Beckett and Elena but what I was given was so much fun. This book is for sports romance readers who like some heat with their hockey player romance.
Tropes: - Hockey Romance - Reverse Age Gap - Single Mom - Fake Marriage
One Pucking Heart is book 2 of Crane Hockey series and follows Beckett & Elena's story. Beckett is Iris' older brother and Cade's best friend (we met Iris & Cade from One Pucking Love). Although he seems like a laid back guy, he definitely has depth to him - character wise. Elena is the new team doctor. She is a single mom to a 21 year old. Becket is my favorite out of the two characters and was rooting for him to have a HEA. Elena on the other hand, I was not a big fan of her. She overthinks too much and she has a preconceived notion with who Beckett is supposedly is. She base her decisions based on her past.
I still enjoyed reading their story! One of my favorite part of the story is when they finally sat down and had a heart to heart conversation.
After reading the first book, Beckett was easily my favorite character by far. I mean how could you not love him? So learning the second book was his love story, I was definitely excited. And it was everything I could hope for. The pacing of this book was so much better and more fluid than the first - Even though I do wish I got to read more about Elena’s and Beckett’s “fake marriage” dynamic living at home together. Elena is amazing I love her character and what she brought to the story. I am curious to what her awful cousin did cause that was not really gone through in depth and I feel like that could’ve been explored a little more.
But overall I loved this book sooooo much more than the first one. Currently my favorite Ellie Wade novel. It was great and I finished it all in one sitting. I literally couldn’t put it down.

One Pucking Heart picks up right where One Pucking Love leaves off which I love!
Elena is the new team doctor for the Cranes and her first patient is Beckett, the teams playboy. While Beckett has had a great upbringing and alot of luck, Elena left home as a pregnant teenager and worked very hard to get to where she is.
When Elena's father puts a condition on his billion dollar will that she must be married, Beckett offers to be her fake husband. Pretty soon it starts to not feel fake and Elena and Beckett must figure out what is going to happen between them.
This story was really good and I love the relationship between Elena and Beckett was so adorable as they fought their feelings. The spice was spicing, the banter was witty, and I loved all the characters.
I really loved beckett and Elena's book. I love the age difference between them and how much he has grown up since the first book with his best friend and sister. I think his and Elena's relationship balanced each other out, and I really loved how he wanted to help her with her dad and having a fake marriage that turned real. It was definitely an emotional read, and I love the hockey team so far and how close everyone truly is in these stories. I loved how Elena didn't make it easy for beckett in the beginning on trying to get her attention. He needed a woman that didn't fall at his feet. I would definitely recommend this book. So glad I got it as an ARC
💜🤍💜🤍💜 ꜱᴛᴀʀᴛᴇᴅ: 01/11/2024 ꜰɪɴɪꜱʜᴇᴅ: 01/12/2024 🤍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 (all i gotta say is “FELTMORE”😏🤣) 💜 I loved this book. The age gap caught me off guard because I had no idea it was going to be that big of an age gap, but I was definitely not mad at it. I feel like Beckett and Elena went through a little more obstacles than Iris and Cade, but it made their story even better. I also loved Ari’s (Elena’s daughter) spunkiness. She was cute as a side character. Definitely go check out this book also by the wonderfully talented @authorelliewade 💜💜 🤍 #contemporaryromance #sportsromancebooks #hockeyromance #hockeyromancebooks #authorelliewade #elliewade #onepuckingheart
After reading One Pucking Love I was excited to see who Beckett would end up with. It’s safe to say I was not disappointed by this love story. They are the epitome of opposites attract in the best possible way. I feel they really balance each other out and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book. I highly recommend if you enjoy age gap relationships that aren’t creepy and are instead full of mutual respect. I 100% will be buying a physical copy when I get the chance and I will be rereading it when I do.
I'm all in. I'm 100% team Beckett and Elena. I'm going to need a blue and white Feltmore jersey stat. Along with some team merch. I love love this age gap love story. I was a little upset that Beckett stole Iris and Cades thunder with announcing their engagements but I soon moved past it as I watched a truly remarkable love story develop. Ellie Wade came in with more spice with this read and I devoured it. I read this book in one day because it's too good to put down. I highly recommend this hockey series.
I absolutely adored this story! I would have finished it much faster if it wasn't the holidays because I couldn't put it down. We were introduced to Beckett in the first book of the series and I was so excited to get his story! Beckett is such a good guy and it showed throughout the entire book. I loved the push-pull connection with Elena. This book was full of so much goodness - an age gap, a fake marriage, and yet so much more! It had some many emotions, steaminess, and most of all, love! I can't even wait to continue this series as it appears that each book gets better!
This story was way way better than the first book. But still very predictable. I did like the relationship between Beckett and Elena. Elena was very relatable to me, because I am a single mom raising a daughter. I also still haven’t dated anyone since. So I liked reading about her finally getting her love story. Also her and Beckett having a baby at the end. That was such a great moment of him getting a baby and winning the Stanley cup also. But still the book was okay. I wouldn’t read it again. It was just ehh.

I highly enjoyed this book. I read this book in one sitting. This is a fake marriage story and Reverse age gap. I loved watching Beckett and Elena’s relationship grow. I loved the relationship Elena and Ari had! The banter in this book was great. Reading this book was an emotional rollercoaster The spice was great in this book. Beckett is so sweet and caring. Elena is closed off at first but Beckett gets her to open up. Beckett does fall first and hard. Beckett and Elena are perfect together.
Favorite Quote : “I have one f*cking heart and it was destined to love you. Only you."
Audiobook: I was entertained by book two in this series. The story featured one of my favorite tropes that of a fake relationship between Beckett and Elena. Although I liked Elena, her relationship with one of her patients raised ethical questions in my mind. There were some steamy scenes. I enjoyed Savannah Thomas' and Christian Leatherman's dual narrations as their performances brought the characters to life. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
I was so excited to read Beckett’s story. We got a quick glimpse at the end of Cade & Iris’ story but I never expected to find him so endearing. He was the perfect book boyfriend and I loved his & Elena’s story.
I also loved that Elena is 40years old. I feel like we don’t get a lot of love stories with women in that season of their life.
Age Gap with the h being 13 years older. Workplace romance. Fake marriage.
This book was so cute! I loved Beckett and Elena’s story. Beckett was such an easy going character and didn’t ask for much in return for what he was doing for Elena. It was so cute to watch him fall for her and realize his true feelings and want to change for her. Elena was very guarded and I feel like she didn’t give Beckett enough credit or much of a chance. She was very closed off and her communication skills were lacking. Overall this was a good read and I can’t wait for the next book!
I can't tell you enough how excited I was for Becketts story and omgee. I love this man so much. He is so perfect, so sweet and caring. He has One Pucking Heart, and she is it. Elena had such a sad past, so to see her get the hea she deserves with Beckett was so beautiful. Love getting more Cade and Iris. This book was so full of love and spice. I love this series and can't wait for the next book.
“I have one fucking heart, and it was destined to love you. Only you.”
I love this book! This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Beckett is sweet and caring Elena is closed off in the beginning but she eventually gives him a chance. Hockey romance has my heart 😍 I'm looking forward to reading more of this authors books.
13 jaar leeftijdsverschil! Zij 40, hij 27 en ze heeft een dochter van 21. Eindelijk een keer oudere vrouw, jongere man.
3.5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ If you like a good YA hockey romance with for ed proximity, fake marriage, enemies to lovers and reverse age gap… this book is for you. There is great character growth from Beckett that I just loved. I could relate to Elena being a single mom. There is a plot twist about 80% of the way through, and a decent amount of spice. Even though the ending was pretty predictable… I still kinda loved it.
“but there is only one possibility for our future, and that’s an end”
Tropes: Fake marriage Reverse age gap Single Mom Hockey Romance
After the first book I wasn’t sure I’d love a Beckett book, but I loved it more than Iris and Cade’s book. The banter of between them brought me laughter and made my heart swoon.
The only thing I didn’t love was the mini third act breakup
TW: alludes to an assault in the begining of the book

Beckett the player of all players. No one has managed to settle him down until a misfortune happens to his teams doctor and the women who tells him no. Beckett is not use to being told no so it gives him a challenge that he is oh so eager to dive into. He eventually wins Elena over and softens her heart! She is still guarded and unsure but learns that Beck is not the enemy but someone that she wants in her corner for more than just the fake marriage.
I absolutely love Beckett!!! Some of the plot felt a little slow moving for me, or an all-of-a-sudden “daddy’s dead” ya know? But overall, still loved it and devoured it. Started it last night and finished it this morning. Couldn’t stop. Not a huge fan or surprised pregnancy, so I could have done without that, but honestly, the ending was absolute perfection. The cup and baby all in one swoop was fantastic. I love Ellie’s writing and am diving into book 3 right now!!
