5 'Lyric' Stars

R.D. Cole has simply blown me away with this 3rd instalment in the Learning Series. It's my first R.D read and it left me flabbergasted!

A simple, yet complex web woven from deceit, to suspense and danger, with death and tragedy, ending with forgiveness and love, all portrayed within the pages of Learning To Forgive.

Meet Blaire Morgan a broken, ANGRY and misguided young woman, trying to cope with everyday life after the untimely death of her brother. Even though a year has

Scorching Hot, Pain Induced Love…How to even begin to sum this book up is sort of out of my realm right now. And I’ve read it on more than one occasion now. With Learning to Live we live through the tragedy that is haunting Trudy and see her begin learning to live again. And then with Learning to Heal, we watch sweet Jazzy girl take on life on her own terms. She is so good at pretending to be the person that she wants to be, the confidence she projects even though inside she is so not that perso ...more

I received an ARC in return for an honest review

This is book three in the Learning series ,,, this is Lyric and Blaires story

I'm a total angst fiend ,,, I love the suspense and unknown ,,, the guessing game gets me every time ,,, so obviously I've really enjoyed reading this book ,,, it has it all

Where do you begin when you have nothing? Is there much point in the forward when the past is dragging you down? Life is a bitch and sometimes there are few that get the real bad stuff and it just keep

Wow!! I don't do dark books. This storyline was so unexpected. I knew from the pervious two books lyric MIGHT have a dark past. Buy Blair's past just broke my heart. This book was dark to me. There were some parts I just couldn't read or had me putting the book down because it creeped me out! Now I need to go read something super sweet like a Daniel Steele book..... HELL NAW that will never happen! LOL

Im excited to read this 3rd book because Lyric and Blaire did leave a good mysterious impression in book 2 and I would like to have an update about Trudy and Jax, Mason and Jazz --- but but but Mason my fave was only mentioned here ,, I cry! I miss the computer geek .

Anyways, both Lyric and Blaire Aka Red are both feisty strong characters. I love Lyric, his character development is consistent, coming on strong at all levels but likeable and loveable. You know that he was a softie inside. When h

I have to start of saying that I love R D Cole's other books. Hands down some of my best reads to date. I loved this book as well. But its not my favourite of the 3. That's not a bad thing. It just means that one of the couples stole my heart more then the others. I am only human LOL.

I found this book SO much darker then the first two. I kinda figured it would be with what happened to poor Blaire's brother in the second book. But this was all kinda of dark. It worked though.

So R.D. Cole has done it again and given me an amazing book that had my emotions all over the place. I was so ready for this book, when I was introduced to Lyric at the end of Learning To Heal, I was intrigued and wanted to know more about him. Man did I ever get more of him, Learning To Forgive is an incredible story that I highly recommend everyone read.

Blaire is definitely a wonderful and remarkable young woman. I will admit I had some crazy feelings about this chick. I loved and hated her be

One word... Lyric
(Oh how that boy makes my Girlie goods tingle...ahh!)

Okay so I stayed up until 3 am to finish up this story because I HAD TOO!!!
The last quarter of this book is intense and I had to know how it ended.

So here is the rundown of my thoughts...

Blaire is broken / angry and bitter. She has hatred built for the loss of the one person she could count on. The one that saved her from the past. Benji was her rock. He picked her up when she was down and kept her safe. So when she los

4 suspense heart pounding beautiful stars

I don't know where to start this review but all I can say is that I want more of Blaire and Lyric story. I've read the first two book in this series and so far this book is my fave. I didn't expect ms RD will write an action filled and suspense kind of story, but she'd written it perfectly. I keep on wanting more after every scene. I love the angst, the suspense, guessing and specially the hot sexy scenes. Lyric is just the perfect bad boy..! With his ta

I have been following R.D. Cole since her debut novel, Learning to Live and not once has she disappointed me. I hate to choose favorites but if I were forced at gunpoint to do just that, I'd say Learning to Forgive is my favorite in the Learning series.
Lyric and Blaire command your attention throughout the book. Both hero and heroine hold their own, neither overshadowing the other. I’m a sucker for tortured souls, but fell in love with Lyric and Blaire because although they are damaged, they don

No joke Robin, thanks for the above warning. You did it again girl! This one made me blush, cry, and hang on to the edge of my seat! I felt like I was reading an episode of SOA except that Lyric was a whole lot better than Jax Teller any day.

Wow was definitely an entirely different kinda novel to the previous two but still just as good. Never realised Blaire and Benji had it so rough and I loved Blaires character. She is weak but tough. She tries her best to keep on living even though shit just keeps happening to the poor girl. The intro to her meeting Lyric at the end of the second book was funny. Loved her spunk. Lyric, well he is all kinds of bad boy. He isn't just your average tattooed man whore with a grudge, he has had it way ...more

Best one of the series yet! I love Lyric and Blaire's story! There is so much action going on that you don't want to put the book down at all!
Lyric is a true bad boy. He has had some tough luck that got him in a life style that he didn't want to be in but had no choice.
Blaire had left Mobile when her bother died. When she comes back, one of her first encounters is with Lyric. The witty banter between the two and the obvious attraction keeps the heat going.
With every twist and turn you are on

I was totally blown away by Blaire and Lyrics story in this, the third book of the Learning series.
It has everything you ever wanted in a story - resentment, heartbreak. friendship and a bit of love to top it off. We get to find out what happened to Blaire when she left and why she hates Trudy so much. The chemistry between her and Lyric is evident from the start and it continues throughout the book. If I had to choose I'd say this was my favourite book of the series, the characters have grown a

I basically devoured Learning to Live, Learning to Heal and Learning to Forgive in the space of two days because it was just that good. I couldn't put it down until I made it to the last page and then R.D Cole would drop a line that would have me hungrily digging into the next story. Things were f'ed up for both Lyric and Blaire. The pain, anger and resentment were easily recognizable in these two but so was the need for love, passion and comfort. They blew me away with their story and I sat the ...more

AMAZING! WOW! Just finished Learning to forgive and as always when you read an amazing book you have no words for it when you finished.... Loved Lyric and Blaire, and what I really like with Robins books it's that she keeps all her characters alive through the whole series... So.... You did it again Robin and I both hate and love you for the book endings.....

I am so glad that I read this book!! While it's darker than the first two, R.D. Cole just pulls you back in. Amazing series....amazing author. A reader can tell she picked each word carefully. It almost felt like I was there. I really could see this as a movie. There is love, lust, comedy, suspense....all great aspects of a movie. I really hope there is a 4th "Learning..." series book.

LOVED IT!!!! I didn't like blaire at first but when you keep on reading I found myself likening her more and more .. She has demons like everyone but she didn't let her demons get to her.. And I can relate with the tattoos with the funky looks I also have more then a few and I get those looks but those looks they don't bother me anymore like they don't her!! Can't wait for more !!!

I really couldn't wait to read this book and now that I have I am sad to say that I couldn't stand Blaire. Yes she had a rough life but she never tries to make it better. She lives in her own pity party world. After leaving town she turns into a supposed bad ass but I just see her as a major bitch. She never tried to find out the truth about what really happened between her brother and Trudy. Plus once she figured out she was wrong, where was that apology she kept saying she needed to make? I couldn't get invested in these characters story. A lot was going on that seemed vague to me. I liked the first two books better.

My name is Robin and I live in Alabama. I grew up an army brat and traveled a lot until we finally settled down along the Gulf Coast when I was 4. My husband is 9 years younger so I guess that makes me a COUGAR. I have a little girl who is 9 and is blind as well as autistic. My life is not boring with them two in it. Believe me.
I have always loved creating and I would constantly draw on my wall
