I'm glad I read this book and attended the workshop that taught from it because I became acquainted with the writings of St. Louis de Montfort, who was quoted often by Pope John Paul II. As far as the compilation of this book, it reflects *none* of Father Gillespie's well-reasoned discussions on Mary. The translation of St. Louis de Montfort's writings are stilted, making for a clunky read. The accompanying DVD discussions--lead by Father Gillespie--are much more engaging and enjoyable. Father G

I first made a total consecration to Our Lady on January 1, 2014 and have been renewing each Advent since with a variety of methods and books. This year I had to find a new one because I foolishly packed my regulars!
A co-worker who’s an editor and has “read them all” said this was a good one and she was right! I appreciated the daily formula, the reflection questions, and the ways the author pulls in quotes from St. Louis de Montfort into each day.

This is a book for Catholics who want to deepen their faith. The idea is to consecrate oneself to Christ through Mary. There are small readings and meditations covering 33 days. Then you make a final consecration. When I first started it seemed almost too simple. But as the day went on I could see the profound impact it was having on me. For Catholics we must know Mary to know Christ and to know Christ is to honor and love his Mother, Mary. This small book will open you up to untold graces.

Fr. Gillespie has put together a simple and clear guide to preparation for Consecration with this book. It's an outstanding resource for those making their Act of Total Consecration according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort. The four phases of the preparation are divided into sections. Each section has an introduction which includes the prayers specific to that phase. Every time a prayer is to be said the page number for the prayer is given which is especially helpful for some of the long

This is the book I recommend to people who want to prepare for their Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. The daily exercises are an excellent blend of Scripture, the writings of St. Louis de Montfort, and the opportunity for mental prayer. And, it's prepared by St. Louis' own order.
