First Year Overview
A long but very interesting read on World War I for the year 1914. Covering all fronts and belligerents, the book covers things at a high level from the South Atlantic to Mesopotamia. Written nearly contemporaneously with the events, the book is a great read and overview of the opening of the Great War.
