An absolutely fascinating and epic documentation of late 19th century zoology. Elliot and Akeley’s relentless big game hunt through East Africa for scientific specimens demonstrates the misplaced wisdom of early naturalists and the still crucial need to ensure that Africa’s natural wonders remain for future generations.
