From the moment I met Melody I knew we were meant to be together. She was everything I ever wanted. I couldn’t get enough of her, and I certainly couldn’t stay away. More than anything, I wanted to make her mine forever. But all that changed the day she disappeared without a trace, leaving me with a broken heart and burning need to find her.
MELODY
For five years I’ve lived a false life, one forced upon me by my father’s mistakes. In hiding, I can’t be myself, can never reveal who I truly am, and I will never again have the love of the man who owns my heart. But maybe it’s better this way. After all, how could he ever look at me the same after what my father did to his family? I know he’ll never forgive me, never want me—and when he finds me and kidnaps me, I know it’s only for revenge.
Safe No cheating No OM NO OW/NO OW comparison 5 year separation No gross condom use HEA Best of all.....DUAL VIRGINS!!! Quote, "One great thing about young love is Easton and I will have all of our firsts together." "Easton knew what he wanted and would never settle for less. One of those things he wanted was me. He made that very clear from day one." This was in the first page of the book, said in our heroine's, Melody's inner monologue. So that let me know that Easton and Melody talked about prom and being each other's first everything on prom night. They shared their first kiss on her birthday and the rest didn't happen because she had to go in hiding, with her father and sister, changing their identities because of her father stealing money from Easton's family and ratting out what he did with others in exchange of immunity and witness protection for him and his daughters. She was miserable for those five years, but Easton never gave up looking for her and eventually found her and kidnapped her! Easton's family is wealthy and he took the reigns of the family company. He became a powerful billionaire and used everything in his arsenal to find his girl. His family always went to the same prestigious university, but he is the first to break that lineage to go to community college closest to the high school where Melody was still attending. *swoon* Easton was angry at her father, not for stealing, but for putting himself in a situation that took Melody away from him. When Easton as a last resort put a false engagement announcement in the papers, hoping to lure Melody out of hiding, all it did was hurt Melody. She thought that he moved on with another woman and then he had to tell her that there is no OW never was an OW, no engagement, it was all made up because he wanted to get her attention because he was desperate to find her and he hoped she would come out of hiding to confront him. When she cried in her sister's arms, after reading the article thinking it was real and that Easton must have been with this "other woman" she says in her inner monologue, quote, "If he is marrying some woman, he clearly has been with her. More of the reality of that hits me. We’re older. Easton and I were young, neither of us having shared more than a kiss." This is another little nugget that they ARE each other's one and only!! Melody is a writer and she took her name and Easton's family name as her pen name, and called her first published book, 'Neverland'. He found it, read it and went on the hunt, FINALLY he found her! The rest is when they reunite and it is romantic and drama filled, but in a good way, and they do get their HEA!! Swoon, I enjoyed this book so much! Easton never gave up! I am glad that they are each other' one and only, and their love is strong and true. The two sex scenes were hot and if I had a teeny tiny knit pick, I wish that Easton expressed more how SHE was HIS first everything. It would make it so much more concrete, but either way, I do believe it to be true. Before he even met her, he would scowl and push girls away, he was never interested before Melody AND, at the very beginning of the novel, her inner monologue ensures both their virgin status. They were together for a couple years, before she went into hiding, so they must have had a conversation about being each other's first everything on prom night! I enjoyed that, because it set the tone for the rest of the book! About the time frame, I was confused for a bit about how long they were together, but then it cleared up for me. They met when she was a sophomore and kissed when she was about to graduate, so that is at least 2 years yet she said they only had one year together. It made no sense to me but I figured out, that at the beginning when they met, she just lost her mother and took on the role of mom to her baby sister Elsa and tried to make it as a poor student in a rich coed high school, she was the new girl so everything in her life changed and she was struggling. When Easton met her, he was there for her and slowly tried to break her out of her shell and protected her against bullies, later they became a couple when she was a senior and he was in community college. So that confusion was remedied, plus, it shows how patient Easton is, he never pressured her, he was there for her and slowly gave her time to adjust. Everything he does, he does for Melody, including letting her take her time to break out of her shell! I JUST LOVE EASTON!!! We get book two after this, and it has to do with Melody's sister, Elsa, and Knight, one of Easton's security men. I enjoyed it and recommend it and cannot wait for the second book! Happy reading everyone!
This is so sweet and a little bit heartbreaking. I admittedly shed a few tears 😭
MCs: - Easton, 26 - Melody, 23
Book info: - No cheating / opd - Second chance romance (5 years separation) - Both celibate during separation - Mention of parents' death - Highschool sweethearts - Writer / Billionaire tycoon - HEA
Note: Not sure if this is a dual virgin. Easton was already a senior when he met Melody, so he could've done it with someone else already. In the story it wasn't mentioned if that was his first time too. But there were snippets from Mel's POV that girls way back in highschool were trying to get his attention but he never gave them a glance. 🤷♀️
Easton and Melody met in highschool, she was a sophomore and he was a senior. It was young love but they knew back then it was the forever type of love. But then something happened and Melody left, leaving Easton heartbroken and angry.
Five years later, Easton didn't stop looking for her. And when he finally found her, he was hurt, angry but more than that he just truly missed her. He said no one can separate them again, and I think he kind of lost it because he kidnapped her 😂 Took her to an island where he built their forever home.
Overall, I genuinely enjoyed it. Not a fan of second chance romance but I know this author is a safe one, so I didn't hesitate reading this. Which I'm glad I did, because this novella had brought up so much emotion. I didn't expect the kind of sadness I felt while reading their POVs, and it was so rewarding reading them get back together. Thanks to Easton and his caveman way. 😅
A fast read story. Worth reading and recommending. ❤️

Thus was a short short story. I enjoyed it but it could have been so much more. I would have loved to see it play out a little longer but it is what it is. They are separated for five years because her family was put in witness protection. He has always been looking for her. He sees a book called Neverland which was his nickname for her and he finds her and they get married. The end. It wasn't very fleshed out and I just wanted more. They waited for each other which was great for me. I love when they are faithful. But something was just missing. I like this author for sure. And I want to read about her sister too.
3 Stars 2026 It’s a short safe and a bit angsty read, it’s kind of second chance but I don’t count it as that since both were not with other people. I wish it was longer and more showing instead of telling. It’s a good palate cleanser especially if you are in a slump or after some shitty reads.
3 Stars 2024 Safe angsty read, although not a fan of being told how the MCs met and not shown
Lucy Darling always writes a HEA I can root for. She's a no brainer one click for me and Neverland is no different. ☺️ Always a TRUSTWORTHY author and a crossover of characters from a MINK BOOK?? SIGN ME UP!!!!!❤️❤️ Loved both the H & h. Talk about DEVOTION.
As a senior only half alive and going through the motions, Easton meets Melody in a high school hallway. She's only a sophomore but her passion and feisty spirit immediate caught his eye and he knew immediately that she was his endgame but Easton needed to be patient because she was grieving the death of her mother and was still so young.
He waits to have their first kiss until her 18th birthday but little did he know that life would pull them away from each other when her father is involved in a Ponzi scheme that costs Easton's family millions and pushes Melody and her family to go on the run.
Fast forward 5 years in WITSEC, Melody has started a new life keeping a low profile but still missing the boy that changed her life. One day she googles him and gets the shock of her life that the boy who said "they would be each other's first everything" is engaged to a Charlotte Williams. Out of desperation Easton crafts a fake engagement announcement to try and lure her out of hiding. Silly boy. Can he win her back and convince her there was never an OW let alone some rando Charlotte in the picture??
But really tho this story was so cute, and a little heartbreaking at times but Easton's characterization of Melody and all of the things he loved about her as a young boy were so so SWEET. You could tell his devotion from THE START but A fake engagement?? Easton you idiot. Your girl was never going to chase you like that. It's undignified. 😂
He clearly was desperate to get to his girl but all it did was hurt her and delay their HEA but no biggie. Even from a young age Easton knew he found his forever:
“Any rebellion that started to take hold, Melody shook away. She grounded me in a way that no one else ever could have. She wasn’t the only one that was broken when we first met. So in a way, she was my hero, allowing me to become who I was meant to be.”
“When I see the passion she has for something, it doesn’t compare to anything I’ve experienced. Her heart goes into everything she does. She’s unstoppable. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. ”
Melody was such a loveable heroine and such a good sister to Elsa "Alice". Her hope and faith in Easton never wavered. I love that she still went for it with her novel and didn't let anything that happened with her father and the FBI deter her from going after one of her dreams.
Also 10/10🌟for Easton's mom dude. Despite Melody's father stealing from their family and not having spoke to or seen her in 5 YEARS, she still had Melody's back and was ready to RIDE AT DAWN for Melody over the engagement announcement. Both Melody and Easton thought his parents never approved of their relationship but WE LOVE THE GROWTH. She realizes that they were wrong in their assumption to let her son choose his own path. Way to call your son and jump up his ass on the phone. Extra stars for you 😂
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Virgin h No info on H (I want to say dual virgin but ugh the ambiguity 😒) 18/21 then 23/26 5 Year separation -both faithful Fake OW drama 😂 Kidnapping Death of a parent No cheating/ sharing HEA
🚨I did notice a pattern for Lucy Darling where she relies TOO heavily just on implication ONLY that something is dual virgin. For a lot of her stories its stated that the h is a virgin EXPLICITLY but ONLY IMPLIED that the H waited too. With the exception of Ethan/ Amelia (Love Forever) every other hero is only implied to have waited for his heroine. Where the h is explicitly stated to have waited. Not a deal breaker to have non virgin MMCs but if theres one virgin theres gotta be another. They have to be on even playing fields otherwise its kinda shady and lets men fuck around on their girls while the heroine remains chaste and waiting for her guy. NOT COOL.
5/5🌟Lucy Darling is usually a no brainer 5/5 and this one is no different! Highly recommend! Also the crossover of characters from Mink's Sweet Psycho?!?!?! SO ADORABLE. I LOVE MAGGIE & OWEN's BOOK!!😍 Also I can't wait for ELSA's story with Knight

Easton and Melody are high school sweethearts who have been torn apart for 5 years due to the actions of their parents. But once Easton sets his sights back on his girl, nobody will separate them again.
I’m normally not a fan of second chance romances, probably because I think if they are really meant to be together they would have made it work out the first time. Well, I’m Neverland they were separated due to circumstances completely outside of their control. Easton never stopped looking for Melody and they were both celibate in their separation.
The thing I didn’t like was how angry he was when he found her. Nothing was her fault. He shouldn’t have treated her the way he did and he shouldn’t have let her believe he was engaged.
I wish we could have seen Easton’s reaction to reading the Neverland book and the happy ending melody gave them.
I want to read her sister’s book but I have to figure out what book that would be.
They meet when he was a senior in high school and she a junior. He pissed a circle all over her from the start and got all OTT over her. LOVE.
I guess her dad did some illegal shit and they went into witness protection when she turned 18. There is a bit of a separation (5 years?) and during that time, he becomes a billionaire (as you do) and she publishes her book with her pen name which is something he knows is probably her.
he buys the publishing house to get her info and then when he sees her, he does a sweet kidnapping so she can't go NOWHERE.
I love books where the girl disappears and the guy goes hangry savage to find her so I enjoyed this one!
- 5 years seperation - Both celibate and dual virgin - He kidnapped her so he could win her back - Novella
Super fun and easy read. And he did everything to find her, so cute.
Safe: No omd/ no cheating. No owd: he writes a fake article that he’s engaged to a random name, just to provoke the h and hope to find her after 5 year’s searching. There was no other woman.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
It’s love at first sight for Easton when he sees the new student Melody being harassed by another student. He punches him and warns everyone else to behave and treat her right or else. They are together after that and so madly in love with each other. Easton is from a very wealthy family and has his future mapped out for him, he’s been feeling hemmed in by all the expectations but Melody calms him and helps him focus. Now he doesn’t see them as expectations but as goal to make sure his Melody has everything he can ever give her. They have been waiting to do really anything sexual until her 18th birthday. They share a very steamy kiss and she tells him she will see him in a few hours after she spends time with her dad and sister. He agrees cause he knows how important family is to her, especially after she lost her mom. She’s been the one keeping her family running. Little did Easton know that she would be lost to him once she stepped out of his arms. Melody’s father was part of a Ponzi scheme and to save his daughters he turns into a snitch and the family has to go into WITSEC. Melody is heartbroken, Easton was her soulmate and she has lost him. She adheres to the rules and has no dealing with her previous life. Her only link is her pen name, Melody Ledger, Ledger being Easton’s last name. She writes a romance titled Neverland, Easton’s nickname for her. It turns out to be a best seller. That is how Easton finds her, he sees her book in a bookshop window. He has been trying to find her for five years, he has even traded secrets and favors to get a top notch hacker to try and locate her. His love and devotion to her has not waned a bit, but missing her and living without her has turned him hard and angry. But he knows she will bring out the soft loving side of him once he has her back. After talking with her sister she cracks and buys a burner phone and looks up Easton, what she finds devastates her, he has gotten engaged! Easton is losing it, he needs his Neverland, he puts out a fake engagement story hoping to flush her out. Sadly it backfires on him, Melody believes it. She understands but is so sad and angry at her dad and her circumstances over it. Finding the book enables Easton to track her down. She’s at a coffee shop trying to work on her second book when he shows up and shocks her. His first words to her are angry ones. He forces her to come with him and more angry words are said by both of them. He kidnaps her and takes her to a private island where he has built her the house they always dreamed of. She’s so upset because she still thinks he’s engaged and the big dummy still hasn’t told her the story was fake. I wish he had confessed immediately but it does lead to some delicious angst. More angry words and some angry kisses and again she tells him he's no longer hers, he finally shuts that down and tells her it’s all fake. He carries her upstairs to their bedroom where they finally have their first time together, dual virgins. I love yous, his mom is very happy they are together now, and he gives her a famous pink diamond ring. Epilogue with a baby girl and Melody pregnant again. Her dad and sister back with her, Easton has covered all the money her dad stole and taken care of the other men who wound up in jail, he has warned them to stay away from her family. The next book is her sister Elsa’s story, you find out she has been up to something that exposes her real identity and one of Easton’s security guys, Knight had her now.

A sweet story full of longing, strong passions and a forever bond. From high-school sweethearts to hurt adults, this couple holds steadfast to their love until they get their happily ever after.
I really liked this little romance. It has double POV, with characters who pour their hearts out about their feelings and relationship. There's a huge chasm between their families' status and dealings which brings about heartache for a long time, but Easton fights like a warrior to regain their freedom and Melody is like a mythological Penelope still dreaming about her Ulises. I like this couple and their story because it's about pursuing dreams and loving fiercely. Hotly, too :-D
He encourages her dreams and that's wonderful. Also, there's a glimpse of another couple I remember from a previous story, so nice to see them again. The next couple promises to be interesting as well.
I love a new Lucy Darling book! Her books are an immediate one-click purchase for me. This one gave me all the feels of another book I've read and I absolutely loved it. The hero and heroine meet in high school but are a few years apart. Even young, they knew each other was the one. Unfortunately, a family mistake tears them away from each other unexpectedly and in a way that they can have no contact. However, the hero doesn't give up. He spends their time apart doing everything he can to find her and get her back. Their heartbreak can be felt but a chance window display helps bring them back together. The thing is, they aren't the same young kids they used to be. The hero has let his dark side out without his love around to soothe him.
°2nd chance °Virgin heroine °I think he was also a virgin °Dual POV °5 year separation -both celibate °No OW/OM drama °Dumb heroine - she was in WITSEC so she had to keep a low profile but she published a book under the name Melody (her real name lmao) and last name Ledger (H's last name) and she named the book 'Neverland' (H's pet name for her) I just can't with the level of stupidity °Alpha hero °What I didn't like: the h thought he was engaged to someone else and she still kissed him and humped him °When they meet again she's 23 and he's 26 °No cheating or scenes with OP °Epilogue: around a year later (?) -married with a baby and another on the way
Neverland was a super sweet story showing the strength, resilience and lasting power of True Love. Easton and Melody had only a short time together in high school, before being ripped apart for five years. Five years in which they both grew up, but never grew apart. Easton did everything he could to find Melody and when he found her, he wasted no time in going to reclaim his one true love. You can always count on Lucy Darling for sweet heroines and swoony heroes. They always leave the reader feeling satisfied. I'm looking forward to the story of Elsa and Knight.
Lucy darling is nothing short of amazing. This book was so worth the wait. Melody and Easton are just the endless type of love and devotion you only hope to have. I had got lost for a hot minute but then the story came back around then I understood what was happening. This was a really good read for me. I needed this story to show no matter the time or the distance. True love will prevail and find a way.
Melody and Easton's was great! I really enjoyed the lasting connection and chemistry between Melody and Easton. These two only had a little bit of time together before Melody was taken away but that didn't stop their love. Now, years later, Easton has finally found his Neverland and he won't let her get away again. Fantastic book and after the ending in this one, I can't wait to see what is in store in the next book!
This shows you that time and distance can’t get in the way of true love 😍 Easton, from day one, was very protective and instantly in love with Melody. She was guarded and held back, but with him, she opened up and became free and happy. Her 18th birthday was supposed to change things for them, but it changed in a completely different way. After time and effort, Easton finds his Neverland. And they’re happy after. A very sweet love story.
I like that Easton never gave up hope looking for his long lost love, what true dedication and resources to find her. I also liked the bond that Melody and her sister shared. They were always looking out for each. I dislike that her father got in trouble with the law which caused them to be apart, but in the end true love prevailed. I rate this writing 5 stars. Love (Lucy Darling Writing).
Okay. I was on the fence with this book. I didn't know that it would be my cup of tea. The whole second chance thing when done right is so good, but done wrong and I would lose interest quickly. I liked their story and read the whole thing in one sitting. It was so cute to see Easton and Melody back together. I liked it! Cute and steamy with some possessiveness from both of them.
Melody and Easton found each other young - when they were in high school. They believed they had forever to be together. Little did they know Melody would disappear on her 18th birthday and they wouldn’t see each other again for five long years. I love a little kidnapping in my love stories! Just saying!
