The nation's capitol is in upheaval as a group known as The Red Horizon Collective threatens the government's power structure. But it's the radicals who keep showing up dead.
Forced to work together, Agent Gardy and Logan Wolf put their differences aside and join Scarlett Bell to stop a deranged killer.
Who murdered the senator's daughter?
When a blackout plunges the city into a panic, The Red Horizon Collective strikes at the heart of the city. Yet the killer is still out there, waiting to claim another victim.
Can Logan and Scarlett catch the murderer before another innocent dies? Or is the nation doomed to eternal darkness?
Love this series and look forward the each new book. This one caught me off guard. Actually I'm a little perplexed at what this will mean for future episodes. This edition brings a complete change to the whole dynamics to the series. Better not say more. No spoiler here.
This is a series I've really enjoyed reading until this book. The plot felt forced and disjointed. A few times, characters' names were mixed up too. Hopefully the next line will be better.
This by far is the best one ever in the series. I read it in less than 24 hours…way to bring in the New Year…patiently waiting to see how this unfolds.
What is up with this author? His books are getting worse. This one, especially the first half or so, read like average fan fiction. So many errors, including basic continuity. The dialogue was stilted, with the characters saying the most obvious things imaginable, repeatedly. And the writing in general was just plain terrible. Cliches galore. Characters not acting as they had previously. And the ending? No, thank you.
Two stars is being quite generous and solely because of the resolution of the crime. I'm done with this series, and possibly with the author.
A riveting Logan and Scarlett Thriller with a high-intensity storyline by maestro Dan Padavona, Killer Charm has all the action, thrills, chills and kills we've come to love from this great author. Tragedy strikes at a controversial Senator's life once more and Bell, Logan and Gardy must put their lives and careers on the line, to solve the case under the glare of media scrutiny and the Mayor's pressure on their Chief. Can the men in FBI profiler Agent Scarlett Bell's life get over their jealousy and resentment of each other long enough to pool their peculiar skillsets and stop a twisted serial killer, linked to a terror organisation? What's the truth about Gardy's former comrade-in-arms? Who excised Carter's hidden past tragedy from official records - and what unexpected offer does he make the trio?
With a maelstrom of tension and a storyline that will grip you firmly by the imagination throughout, get your copy of Dan Padavona's excellent Killer Charm today - guaranteed to be unputdownable, you'll read all night!
Finally questions are answered with a plot twist I didn't see coming!!! Logan, Bell and Gardy join forces to solve the murder of a senator's daughter. While working on the first murder dead bodies keep showing up. They are members of a group known as Red Horizon Collective. Dan Padavona kept me guessing on this one, that's for sure. Usually I have it his culprits figured out when introduced to them, Killer Charm took me till about halfway through before I figured out who the killer was. Killer Charm is full mayhem, chaos, suspense and surprises. In my opinion Dan Padavona did a great job of continuing the Logan and Scarlett Series. I can't wait to see where he takes this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
This story is my least favorite of the Logan & Scarlett series. I usually hate to put these books down, but I just wasn’t as drawn into the plot as I am in the other books I’ve read by Dan Padavona. Sometimes the characters would talk about being careful & not letting the “bad guys” know what they’ve figured out- then the characters go straight to the bad guys & show their hand! I just didn’t feel this was like Mr. Padavona’s previous writing style. I didn’t feel much momentum to the plot until about 80% through the book. I was happy to find out about Carter’s past and his ongoing hidden agenda.
Great story although not as enjoyable as the earlier ones
I really like the Logan and Scarlett series. The stories are always so suspenseful and enjoyable, but this book was different. The storyline was too much like a horror-comic book; the story was a bordéring on unseen enemies, etc. which was distracting. I always enjoy the subtle play between Logan and Scarlett however adding a reluctant Agent Gardy took away some of the interaction. It will be hard for me to get used to this new configuration but eventually I will; I so enjoy the relationship of Scarlett and Logan - it will be missed. Or maybe it will be back in the next story. Hope so!
This book took a dark turn in the series. It was excellent writing, as always, although there were many times when I felt that things were being repeated just to fill space. Killer Charm finds Bell working with the reluctant team of Gardy and Wolf as they race against the clock to stop a terrorist group before more people wind up dead. At the same time, they are trying to figure out Director Carter's agenda. Plots are uncovered and alliances are tested. It's another exciting story in this series.
I have read ALL of Mr Padavonas books, and I have to say I have seriously enjoyed traveling into his mind! He knows how to grab you and not let go. I hope he (for my sake) continues to get those thoughts written down, and let's us wonder what next twist he will have in mind for Logan and Scarlett. I will say, this one really surprised me Thank you Dan Padavona, please keep them coming
I really enjoy the story of Bell, Garry and Wolf but this book was hard for me to get through. I didn’t think it was written as well, I felt like the story was rushed and I just wasn’t a fan. I got through it because I almost never put down a book I’ve started and I wanted to see what happened with the main characters and overarching storyline. Not my favorite by far.
I've loved all Dan Padavona 's Logan and Scarlett books in the series except for this one. It was just ok. Seemed repetitive in their conversations. Ie. "Was Gardy's friend guilty or not?" How many times do you need to express it? The ending felt like it was rushed and had me saying "What the heck"?
This story never comes together. It’s disjointed and cumbersome. Worse, it’s fairly predictable. Character history seems to come out of nowhere and struggles are indicated with no reason or rhyme. Not one of his better reads. Unfortunately it’s an obvious launch into a continuing series. Wolf is turning out to be the most boring and docile serial killer ever.
Logan, Scarlett, and Gardy are on the hunt of a serial killer. There are many, many twists and turns to this story and a serial killer who is hard to figure out who it is. The book is one that's hard to put down once it's started. I really enjoy this series of books and can't wait for the next one.
OMG. This book is so full of suspense and intrigue you cannot put it down. This book keeps you in suspense until the very end. I hope there will be more books in this series.. This is really a ten star book. I highly recommend this book.
If you have not read the Logan and Scarlett series, please do so. This is number 9 in the series, and once again, Dan Padavona has out did himself. His ability to keep the series fresh and thrilling with each new book is exceptional.
I couldn't put this one down. I think out of the series of 9 books, this has to be my favorite. Dan did it again. Wrote a best seller. I am recommending this book to everything. Thank you Dan Padavona for a wonderful read and hope there is another in the works.
Another great installment in the Logan & Scarlett series! A lot of twists & turns. This one had me guessing to the end. For this of you that are familiar with this series, you'll love that Deputy Director Carter's secrets & reasoning come to light!
Twists and turns call into question old alliances and form new ones. Good rainy day read as long as the wind doesn't howl and tree branches don't brush the windows. The world is not short of serial killers.
Although I enjoyed reading this book, I wanted to inform you that there are numerous errors. I reported some of them. I found that the flow of this book was very chopped up and sometimes difficult to follow.
This was a fantastic, unique, and suspenseful story that will hook you from beginning to end. A definite must read book and series. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
