I was a little nervous about a book on hunting since I don't hunt. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to relate to it and see it as a children's book. My First Book of Hunting ABC is very well done in digital pictures that will appeal to kids. For families who hunt, I think this book would b e very appropriate for a child learning his or her ABCs. It has cute pictures, rhymes and is different than the average ABC book of Apple/Ball/Cat/Dog.
I am going to share this book with a friend who is putting together baskets for children. Thank you again - it's a unique book of ABC.

My First Book of Hunting ABC: A Rhyming Alphabet Primer for Children About Hunting and Outdoor Life is perfect for introducing the concept of hunting in an age-appropriate way. My son is interested in hunting, so I knew he would enjoy this book. Personally, I'm not a fan of hunting, but I appreciate how the book keeps things light and kid-friendly. The only page that made us pause was the one for the letter I: I is for elk IVORIES which make a pretty ring. The text is sparse, making it a quick, pleasant read-aloud. The illustrations are charming. My family and I appreciate the nonfiction backmatter.

My husband, who is an avid hunter speaks frequently of the declining number of hunters. This book would make a great gift to encourage future hunters to recognize and get excited about the great variety of wildlife out there. As their dad/mom, aunt/uncle or grandparent takes to the woods they will be learning what they see. At the same time this book introduces the gear used in hunting.

My First Book of Hunting ABC would be the perfect gift for the child/relative/friend of any one that hunts. It will help them feel part of the thrill of hunting and being outdoors.

what an adorable ABC book for your little hunter! I enjoyed this picture book, each letter representing something that you would correlate with hunting. The illustrations are adorable, and we loved the simplicity of them. This would make a cute baby/birthday gift for someone who enjoys hunting and has a little one.

What a super cute HUNTING themed ABC learning book! We loved it. My kiddos favorite part was of course the “did you know?” facts at the end of the story.

Each letter had a cute matching image. Super cute and fun, especially if you have little “hunters”!

This adorably illustrated book with lyrical, rhyming text will introduce hunting to the youngest of readers in a gentle way. Not only does it follow the alphabet as it introduces terminology, but also gives fun backmatter facts for readers. The artwork is bright and cheerful and depicts the hunting gear needed as well as some of the animals hunted in the United States. No violence or death is mentioned either in text or art, so I'd recommend this book to all readers.

I ABSOLUTELY love the illustrations of My First Book of Hunting ABC.

The alphabets are in the form of hunting, so this book is good for learning if you love to hunt.

The words are formatted in such a way that children will find it happy to look at.

I am pretty sure my kids will love this book as well.

Being a first-time children's writer, I am learning a lot from this book.

"My First Book of Hunting ABC" by Andrew McMurdie is a book full of adventure. I read it with my 4 years daughter, and she loved it, although we don't belong to an area where we can experience hunting but still, she loves animal pictures, scenes and rhyming words.

At the end "Did you know" part has its own importance for the reader.

This book was a nice introduction to the topic of hunting for little kids. It had a light tone with some great and coloful illustrations. I enjoyed the nice variety of animals implemented into the story. There were even some interesting animal facts in the back of the book as well.
