interesting book . i liked reading the speeches made by churchill. In the part where it tells you what was happening in great britain in one column and in the other what was happening in the rest of the world. When reading this I remembered some of my history lessons at school. It's a short book good for dipping into and gathering information.

Who are the British? If you want to understand what being British means, in a nutshell, then this book is for you. Also highly recommended reading for all British Citizens, and aspiring British Citizens, whatever their age. History, song, symbolism ... it's all here in this lovely compact, carry-able, book.

A great little book for dipping in and out of. I especially liked the speeches and the song lyrics. The timeline showing British history against world events was also a great idea.
