Five Steps to Successful Thinking

This book is a book about your brain and ways of making it work at peak efficiency. In five easily mastered steps you will learn how every major aspect of intellectual performance can be substantially increased. We will show you how to access your individual styles of learning, problem solving, and decision making and then explain how much knowledge can be used to enhance the speed and efficiency of all kinds of thinking.

Most people identify four main areas of enhancement after following our program; and report they can:
- Make decisions more quickly and easily.
- Learn any new material with a minimum of effort, whether the study involves working for examinations, a conference speech, lines of poetry, or a foreign language.
- Become more creative when thinking about solutions for problems that demand an original approach, and use their powers of imagination more fully in all areas of life.
- Reduce the amount of mental and physical stress experienced when working under pressure so that it becomes possible to do more high-quality work in less time.

We can say with confidence that all this, and much more besides, lies within the reach of every reader of this book because, during the past six years, we have been teaching men, women, and children of all ages and from all walks of life to do just that.

About the author

David R. Lewis

295 books26 followers
David Lewis is a retired, decorated Lieutenant-Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy. Having retired just before COVID came to visit, he was forced to stay home with limited options for personal productivity. Perhaps it was time for him to paint and to write. David writes about his life and many years of military service in both the US and Canada, Europe and Afghanistan. He also includes how flashbacks of childhood abuse at the hands of parish priests have influenced and infected his life and service. David is a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, the General Campaign Star – South-West Asia, the Commander Canadian Army Commendation, and other decorations. He has been married to Sherrie, his wife of over 40 years. They have five children and one granddaughter.

(Also, I have not authored over 200 books. Goodreads just attaches every 'David Lewis' authored book and I can't undo it)

Book was very interesting. It contains 5 parts of the book. The first part consisted of mostly how to take IQ tests and was not very interesting.
