Age Level: 9 - 12 | Grade Level: 4th and up

My name is Chase Cooper, and this is my second diary as a 6th grade ninja. It's only been a month since my last entry, but in a school as crazy as mine, a month is an eternity. My school recently had a day where everyone talked like a pirate, but it didn't stop after that! It became worse as the week went on, and pretty soon there were rumors of a massive pirate invasion. I ignored the warnings because I thought they were a joke. Turns out... I was wrong. Now my entire school is in danger, and I'm the only one that can save it.

Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja 2: Pirate Invasion is a hilarious adventure for children ages 9-12.

This book is about a boy named Chase (who is a ninja), who's school is attacked by pirates trying to change the school mascot. It had lots of action. For example, the time Chase had to chase down one of the pirate spies. In the book, he finds out that his ninja clan, his best friend and his cousin had betrayed him and gone with the pirates. He gives up being a ninja to save his cousin. He thinks he has lost the school and it will be taken over by pirates. I recommend this book to mainly 6th graders.

A book I have been reading with my boy each night.

At just over 100 pages, it is the perfect intro to chapter books for around 8 year olds. You can knock the book off in a few nights of reading together - enough to build anticipation, but not so long it drags out.

It is not really my cup of tea (even taking into account the whole book is not meant for me thing). I don't actually think much of substance happens in the books and we both got to the end and were confused about why Carlyle went to so much trouble with the pirates and the mascot thing. My son said "this doesn't make much sense....why would he come all the way to the school to change the mascot...how does that change anything or get revenge on anyone?". I happen to agree with him. My son though is more equipped to suspend reality compared to me because he kept asking to read it together each night (even when he is sick) so that says something.

The Pirate Invasion

I think this book is so easy and a quick read. Kids ages 9-13 should definitely read this. It is a good book.

Ninja2

I really like this series. So far it’s teaching children not to give into peer pressure. To stand up for what you believe in is a good thing even when it seems no one else has your back!

Even though I read this with a soon-to-be sixth grader I am tutoring, I actually enjoyed it! The characters are great and very believable, and the message of the book is perfect for this age group.

"Dziennik wojownika Ninja. Atak piratów" Marcusa Emersona, to porywająca historia opowiadająca o przyjaźni i rodzinnych więziach, oraz przekazująca same wartościowe rzeczy.

Macie pociechy, które same czytają?

Chase is happy when Carlyle arrives in their classroom. Chase is no longer the newest student. In homeroom, everyone, including the teacher, is talking in pirate. Chase is glad when homeroom is finished and they go to class but is disappointed when Chase sustains the private voice all day. Not only do most of the students think Carlyle is charming, but they also start to hang out with him.
Chase is the leader of a Ninja group but struggles to know how to lead because, in the past, led by the bully, the ninjas have stolen stuff and picked on students. As the pirate antics at school increase, the number of students in the Ninja group falls. What is going on? Who threatens Chase? How does he resolve the issue?
I enjoyed the lesson on doing what you think is right, even in isolation and loneliness. This book would be good for an adult to read aloud with the young reader and discuss what’s going on. This 118-page chapter book addresses bullying in primary school. It is a bit different because the victim is not responsible for solving the bullying alone. The school implements negative consequences for the perpetrator.
Recommended for readers eight years and older.

Silly, ridiculous & all around a good read for the kids & I.
Although the author misses opportunities to address poor character, lying, deception & bullying, I loved having the opportunity to teach my kids & watch them as they learned to spot poor character & address what they would do instead.
The storyline is silly & the moral is loyalty.
We look forward to reading the next & final book in this series.

When I started reading the beginning it wasn't as fun, but at the end it was a BLAST!!! I had a great time reading the end and my favorite part is when Carlyle said that Wyatt was his cousin.

I liked this book because it was interesting, was simple and had to do with the 1 one. I liked the part that chase wins and chose the mascot because I felt better and the bully learned.
