Thylias Moss is a multiracial maker, an award-winning poet, recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" grant, and twice nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award in poetry.
Having read very little poetry recently, it took me a little while to get into the swing of this (so to speak), but while I can't give it the full five stars, it's good enough to penetrate my layers of ignorance about poetry. I picked it up on the recommendation of the late Harold Bloom, incidentally.
