*This book was briefly published titled, Her World In His Hands.*
The Immortal Vikings. Are you serious right now?! My fellow readers, this is unbelievable. I am in awww right now. Where has this writer been? You know normally I don’t read stories such as these, because of how the story is written. The age range of the readers that the writer directs the book towards. You know what I’m talking about. Some of that writing is like, WTH? What normal person would say that? Wellll let me tell you something. I-am-hooked. NJord. You are alright. I think his character is wonderfully written for Sassa’s love story. I’m going to sidetrack you a little bit and discuss Thor’s character. Man-o-man! I have got to read his story, because if the writer of this story wrote scenes like these in this book in his book?! You know what the scenes are going to read like in his book. “Y’all know what scenes I’m talking about.” Readers let me tell you. Ain’t no way Sassa could have been walking right, out the cottage the next day. All you have to do is think of the name Thor and you can imagine what he looks like. Now take that vision. Imagine him younger and their you will have NJord. This man is a dominant. Sassy. Protective. He can make you wet with one finger. Moving on! Sassa is not a frilly naive young woman. This woman new what NJord was all about. Her character is a strong heroine who fights hard against the constraints of woman in her time. She soldiers on with with all these God like men falling after her. The distraction of these men will not deflect her from her mission for her future and the future of others. NJorde and Sassa’s love that spans across time is wonderfully written. Each chapter I kept saying, will this be the chapter when they? Will this be the chapter? Everything about the book is exceptionally good. There was so much happening in the story that I was very entertained. It wasn’t an over abundance of action or what was happening among the characters, but it was just enough to keep you the reader engaged with the story. Page after the page, the story read so easily for me. The storyline is excellent for this type of book. I appreciate that the writer maintained the dialogue and actions from the characters on the adult level. None of it. And I mean there was nothing in the storylines, the dialogue or the characters that had them portrayed or speaking teeny bop or young adult like in the book. I give accolades to the writer for that. The plot is logical for Sassa’s and the other characters goals. Their actions and passion keeps the story moving. I really enjoyed the book. I give this book two snaps and a. Hold up! Loki, you have been a bad, bad boy. “Take” yourself to my bedroom and let me decide what to do with you. With yo fine self. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. #TheImmortal Vikings #VanessaBrooks #Goodreads #Bookbub
I fell in love with this steamy and adventurous book! I would love to have a lover like Njord! So much happened in the book to finally reunite, Sassa and Njord! There are secrets, but happy ones and adventure and mischievous gods ! This book has like always with Vanessa Brooks attention to details a great plot, and an amazing story line. I enjoyed reading this book, and I love all of her books.
A lovely second chance story! After the God Njord meets the fair maiden Sassa, they fall in love. But due to Njord infuriating Odin, he is made to leave her and breaks both their hearts. Unable to forgive his desertion of her, Sassa remains angry and bitter. As the story moves from ancient times to present day, Njord is finally is free to reclaim his lover, but first he must overcome Sassa's mistrust of him and nefarious acts done by Loki, or is someone else the culprit? This is a beautiful story that tells a story of love so strong it can overcome every hardship and conquer all. Sassa and Njord are amazing together and they so deserve their HEA after so many years apart. I absolutely loved this story.
I loved this book. I read it in one sitting ignoring all around me. And I recommend that you do the same. You will not regret it. Sassa is a resilient, sweet and amazing woman who made herself a full life. Njord learns over time what is important. I enjoyed meeting all the other characters and I hope that they will all have their own stories. There are plenty of different elements including some hot erotic sexy scenes. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I recommend it. For such a short story it is full of adventure and fun.
The Immortal Vikings is quite a tale. Vanessa Brooks brings us into the world of the Gods in such an enthralling way in this book. Sassa is a seer and has help many creatures find their way. Njord is the Norse God of the ocean, fertility and wealth. When he sets eyes on her he knows she is the being he has waited centuries for. A vision Sassa has shows their love being interrupted by a beautiful giantess. With circumstances beyond their control Sassa and Njord are separated for ions. Sassa tries to move on with her life, which now will last forever. In the present day, Sassa builds the perfect life for herself to only have it turned upside down when Njord returns to claim her once again. Vanessa Brooks gives us the perfect worlds to escape the stresses of life. I can't get enough. vanessa-brooks
Vanessa has written an absolutely fantastic book! It has a lot of adventures, Gods, Immortals and humans all put together. I had a hard time putting it down. You travel with Sassa and Njord over time. Did they find themselves and their love? Did they overcome their obstacles? This book has surprises. I would wholeheartedly recommend this book. I got this book as an ARC book.
An amazing story. I don't normally read many books with vikings but I love Vanessa Brooks stories so it was a no brainer to get this one. I loved Sassa and Njord's story. They went through a lot but you know they'll get their HEA. The story is well written and easy to follow along with.
I just loved this story, its intruiguing , a bit sad, but its got a great HEA, which is great. I felt for both of these characters, they in there own way because of a certain event had their own personal sad story. Njord was a god of the sea and just loved his creatures. However when he spotted a lovely maiden he couldnt help but want to get to know her. Sassa grew to love Njord, but then the one thing happened that Sassa knew would happen, he broke her heart. Many years later Njord is finally free , will Sassa take him back or is she still happy with her life?
A totally enjoyable story that will bring different array of emotions to all. I really felt for these two souls, epecially Njord who had to do another gods bidding which was out of his hands, till he got free and vowed to find his love once more.
This story about Sassa and Njord was very good. This couple went through so much and a HEA is so expected. We have excitement, intrigue, steamy scenes and so much more in this short story. I like so many of Vanessa Brooks books so I was eager to read this even though I wasn’t familiar with the period. As always it is well written and a pleasure to read.
