Asher knows what he wants and a mate isn't part of the bargain. But when his boss turns her marriage minded meddling his way, he's forced to take a meeting with the Intergalactic Dating Agency. There's no way the matchmaker can find a lady who will meet his exacting standards. Then Zoe Gershwin crashes into his life and chaos ensues.

Zoe's playing the hottest new Alternate Reality game and it's so realistic she'd almost believe she's really in space. There's a hot dragon lord, an alien planet, and really strange game mechanics. It has to be a game, otherwise it means Zoe's been abducted by aliens and plopped down on a strange planet a long way from home. How is she supposed to get out of this mess?

When the dragon lord makes an offer, it's her only way home. But why does he need a fake fiance? And can she play the part and keep her hands to herself?

The IDA is back at it again! They love thrusting unsuspecting Earth women towards their HEA in the deep, dark depths of space!

Zoe loves playing the latest VR game. She especially likes the hot alien hunk in the game. But she seems to have signed up for the IDA and finds herself shot across space. On waking she still thinks she's in the game and treats her new reality as though it's one big escape room!

Asher is the epitome of workaholic. He doesn't even really like what he's doing but its a step in the process to becoming the Governor of the planet some day. The only bright spot of his time here is getting to work with his sister. But his boss thinks he needs a mate to prove his steadiness. So he signs up to the IDA. He never thought they'd pair him with an Earthling. Or a female who doesn't realise she's on another planet and not in a game!

So until he can get his boss off his back, he and Zoe decide to become a couple. Zoe's killing time until she can get off the rick she found herself on and Asher gets his matrimony minded boss off his back. But as per usual nothing the IDA touches goes smoothly!

I love this series of books. Our dragon is a workaholic, and prideful man on a mission. He doesn't have time for romance or looking for a mate. He's caught on the hop with Zoe and doesn't quite know what to make of this human, who just seems to roll with the punches. Zoe is level headed (after the whole other world fiasco is solved). She doesn't have much left back on Earth and this could be a new start. Neither of them can deny the attraction between them for long!

Captivating read with wonderful characters and scenario that holds readers attention in full
This was another simply wonderful story with characters and scenario that you will find to be absolutely engaging you will be like myself and find yourself fully engaged in this story.
Asher has to find a wife although in all honesty he is not in any rush to be successful at this exercise, so when Zoe who is supposed to be studying for her PHD receives an invite to visit a shop and play one of their new games which is simply something she cannot turn down.
She reaches the premises and simply signs all of the [aper work allowing her to take part without realising the implications were far greater and you will be engrossed in this very cleverly written book which I guarantee you will be totally captivated by.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Asher (H), a grumpy dragon lord with a laser focus on work, reluctantly joins the Intergalactic Dating Agency to appease his marriage-minded boss who decides Asher needs a mate to prove his stability. His unexpected match? Zoe (h), a down-to-earth Earthling whose life takes an unexpected turn when she's thrust into an alien reality courtesy of the IDA, which she initially mistakes for another one of her VR gaming experiences. Thinking it's all just part of an elaborate game, she approaches her new reality as an escape room challenge. What ensues is an engaging tale of an unlikely pairing, with sparks flying in all the right places, with a lovely blend of humor, romance, and unexpected chemistry, as Asher and Zoe decide to play pretend to tackle their respective problems, leading to a rollercoaster of mishaps and misadventures. Asher’s grumpy, stoic façade is challenged by the spirited Zoe creating an entertaining dynamic. Lovely alien-human fated mates romance with plenty of spice, humor, and action.

Grumpy dragon man turns into a loving mate.
Workaholic dragon man needs a bride, but doesn’t want to invest time to find her himself. In comes the IDA (Intergalactic Dating Agency) that dumps his mate on his planet without letting both parties know. And she thinks she is in a game, trying to solve the riddle. So it takes a while to really find each other, even with the burning attraction that both feel.
I would have liked a bit more interaction between the two getting to know each other and what they stand for. Parts of the book are very funny with witty dialogues. The process of terraforming of a new planet and realizing that part of the old world – existing animals – is worth saving.
It is the 7th book in the Dragon Brides series, part of the wider Intergalactic Dating Agency series. They are all fun to read, related a bit, but can be considered as a stand-alone. Steamy and definitely entertaining!

Okay so like. I'ma read all of these.
I received this as an arc and I wish I had paid attention to this series sooner cause ooooh yeah.
It's not perfect, we don't want perfection though.
The premise is awesome, though I wish Zoe had managed to find some items at some point but she did find Asher and that's even better.
Seriously, where do I sign up for a super hyper realistic dating sim VR game and end up with a hot dragon daddy?
Not only is it good, it's quick and it's easy. Ten out of ten if you need a palate cleanser after a serious high fantasy or something really in depth. It's fun, light hearted (other than that gut destroying feeling when mates are separated), and it's got the spice to make it nice.

Asher is a dragon shifter in need of a wife if he wants to advance his career so he is forced into meeting with an Intergalactic Dating Agency matchmaker for help.
Zoe is a gamer who thinks she will be trying out the hottest new virtual reality game but instead is transported off Earth to planet VMC12 where Asher happens to be in charge.
Sounds like the perfect IDA setup to me!
Book seven in the Dragon Brides series is a sure fire winner of steamy romance, great writing, and wonderful characters as Asher and Zoe begin to feel the true mate pull with one in denial the other all in, and assuredly misunderstandings are soon to follow.
Thankfully they will find their HEA.

“I think this is the kind of deal you seal with a kiss.”

Zoe has always dreamed of Aliens and space, studying the stars is as close as this human thinks she'll ever get.

Asher is a dragon shifter in charge of terra forming a planet. When he's strongly encouraged to show he's A family man if he wants the ultimate promotion he signs up with a matchmaker -- but he finds himself face to face with the last thing he thought would be found.

This done in one quick read has the story beats of a feel good hallmark movie, with an out of this world setting, and several layers of slow down, smell the roses and make sure you are living the best life for you, qualities that make for a wonderful, relaxing read.

I read Asher in Kobo Plus and chose to share my thoughts.

Grumpy dragon and the damsel in distress - the love story we are all looking for!
I don't want to give anything away, but the fact that Zoe is tricked into going to ZMC12 and Asher gets a message that the IDA has a match for him on planet right after 👌 loved it lol.
A fabulous book and you can read as a stand alone from the others in the series.
The only thing that detracted for me was that there wasn't a lot of time built up between Zoe and Asher before they connected, which is probably cause they're mates, but I always love reading the times when the couple get together and are learning about each other and how to be together.

loved it !! love this series !!! love Zoe and Asher.. this is their story... a fast paced rom/com drama... Zoe is a gamer and in her third year PHD program... she sees an ad for a new game on campus.. a VR game... she is so in !!! Asher wants to be Lord -Governor of VMC12.. he just needs a wife or a fake wife... he goes to the matchmaker.. he just wants an okay match .. not a true mate... he's way too busy for a wife and family.. and he doesn't want one anyway... it's so funny when Zoe thinks she's in a game and not real life... another planet ? aliens ? he thinks she's crazy... so good !!!.

I enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved that the Intergalactic Dating Agency was made like a virtual reality simulator. Zoe thought she was testing out a game and was somehow teleported to another planet. Asher needs to at least try to find a mate for a promotion, but has no interest in having one. With Zoe's predicament, he makes her a proposal- she pretend to be his future bride for a month in exchange for passage back home and a bag full of gemstones. She agrees with a kiss. 4 stars.

This book was an entertaining read. I loved how much detail there was in the world building. The relationship between Asher and Zoe was like a fire. The way there were threads for more stories was great. I can’t wait to read more. This is part of a series and while you don’t need to read (or re-read) the prior stories, you may feel that you’re missing something as the story builds the beginning of the characters.

This is Book 7 of Intergalactic Dating Agency starring Asher and Zoe. WOW talk about a pain in the butt at least that is how Asher is in the beginning but finding Zoe changes everything. I loved how grumpy Mr. Dragon Asher is in the beginning and boy does that grumpy bossy Dragon know how to ignite passion and burn it to ash is the next page, this is a fiery story with the best ending.

This was a sweet and romantic love story between a dragon and his human mate. I liked Asher and Zoe together and I liked the personal growth that Asher experienced as a result of finding his mate. I would have enjoyed knowing more about the physical manifestations that Zoe developed as a result of being a dragon mate but other than that, I liked the story.

This book was a little slow to get started but it definitely picked up the more I read. Zoe thinks she's in some kind of reality game but she's really been transported to Asher's planet. Asher needs to find a mate to solidify his running of VMC12. He never expected to find his mate in a human. Then they make a deal where Zoe will pretend to be Asher's fiance. There's lots of action, steamy romance and an unexpected outcome although both Callie and Asher find their happily ever after together.

Zoe’s real goal in life is discovering alien life. Never did she ever think that one could possibly lead her to the other. Zoe is fascinated with games, so much so that it has landed her in trouble. Asher has no fun, it’s all work. Neither have anything in common……yet something draws them together, even if reluctantly.

fun alien romance

This was a fun alien romance read. It was a cute premise that the heroine thought she was signing up for a virtual reality game but actually was sent to an alien planet as an arranged marriage candidate. The characters had good chemistry and banter. I’ll check out more from this author!

A planet being turned into a hospitable place to live

Going from being a gamer to waking up on another planet. Going to a matchmaker and not liking what you are told. Of course not really wanting a mate or bride, but doing so for your boss so that you can get a promotion. Funny how things can go so wrong and still come out right.

This story is a really good and quick read. With great chemistry between feisty Zoe and sweet Asher, along with a little bit of steam, it was hard to put down. While part of a series, each book may be read as a stand alone. I can definitely call this one well worth the one click.

Unexpected Mate

Asher signs up with Intergalactic Dating Agency to get a wife of convenience - what he gets is Zoe, confused because she thinks it all a VR game. These two seem like complete opposites, but how they fall for each other was sweet to read. I really enjoyed Asher and Zoe’s story, and I’m looking forward to Asher’s brothers’ stories.

Quick, sweet and slightly steamy. I do feel like the characters could have had more depth and the world building wasn’t quite as detailed as I would have liked. It wasn’t bad but I was left wishing it was more.

From Asher to Zoe - it's no game

Asher missed the point when he works himself crazy for a job he doesn't want. Zoe, once her own reality check is cashed, helps enlighten the poor obsessed alien. It's funny and sweet, and great reading. This is a voluntary, independent ARC review.

Fun quick romance! I do enjoy a fake fiancée scenario, so that was interesting to me, and I liked that Zoe thought it was just a game at first. Totally here for the whole dragon alien mates thing too! Love that! An entertaining story!

This is another good story in the "Dragon Brides" series. It is a fairly short, quick and fast paced story with wonderful characters. This story is about Asher and Zoe. These two are combustible together. I love how their story develops with some suspense, action and really good twists.

Asher wants a bride to get a promotion; Zoe is looking for adventure. As an alien dragon shifter and a human PhD candidate, they shouldn’t intersect. When they do there’s a lot of fun and romance.
